B&B Elmi

A B&B that has it all!
Beautiful rooms with vivid colors and all the facilities that you might need. Clean and organized. We received a warm welcome from the staff who were there to help us with our itinerary and to tell us anything we needed to know. Congratulations to Eliza and Alessandra! (Also thank you for the great breakfast and your delicious Italian coffee).
Moreover, the location of this B&B is perfect. Just a few minutes walk distance from the central square Piazza del Duomo. Nearby you will also find anything you want. Market for shopping, bakery, parking and a wide variety of restaurants.
When I come back I will definitely stay again and again to that same place!

I stayed here with my mom. It was just amazing and magical and the location couldn't be any better!
There was a lil balcony in our room, right above a beautiful street, just perfect for a morning coffee.

Excellent breakfast, room super clean and very friendly and helpfull staff! The host was super welcoming and helpful, she prepared breakfast for us every morning and was very attentive. The rooms were clean and not noisy. Finally, the location is a plus, and it's easy to park on the street.

We visited Catania end of April, and the beginning of May and decided to stay at B&B Elmi. We had a very early flight and owner Elisa was very nice and welcomed us before 14 o'clock. She showed us around and gave us some advice on what to see and do in Catania/Sicily. The city center is just a few minutes away by foot and there are very nice coffee places around the place. The room was spacious, it had a nice balcony to hang out on, but some things were a bit dated and not taken care of — the bed was making a weird sound, and in the bathroom, there were some stains in the shower. Breakfast was basic, but nice to have something to eat in the morning. We were satisfied with most of the things since we are not so picky and we would definitely recommend Elisa's place if you are visiting Cataina for a few days.

The apartment is in a great location. Close to all sightseeing, the bus station, not far from the train station. (Easy to get to Taormina and Syracuse. )
The room is clean, the breakfast is plentiful, the staff is very very friendly and helpful. When next time we go to Catania, we will definitely choose B&B Elmi again.
We would come back here at any time.

The host was very kind to offer us a free upgrade, since I was almost 7 months pregnant. Everything beside this does not worth the rating in Booking, which was the only reason I chose this property. I definitely do not agree with it. Our room costed 56 euro, including the breakfast. However, the breakfast is such kind, that it is better to just offer complimentary water and coffee for the guests and to lower the price of the room, because it is just not worth the money. For 10 days in Sicily we stayed in a lot of B&Bs and I am sure of what I am saying.
The room looks much bigger on the pictures than it is actually. Everything inside is the most cheap one — from the bed, the mattress, the air condition and even the folding chair. For this, they ask too high price. Our upgrade room was overlooking the street. We hesitated whether to take it or not (the other one had one small window towards the inside yard), but we decided that it won't be too noisy in the late night. We were definitely wrong about it — this appears to be one of the busiest streets in the city with a lot of cars passing by all night. We closed the window which isolated the noise, but the air condition was so noisy that we could not rest at all. It did not even had the option to automatically stop working, when reaching the needed temperature.
I recommend buying new and more expensive air condition for the noisy rooms with functions for more comfortable sleep.

The property is great well looked after and comfortable but it's Elisa 'the spearhead' of B&B Elmi! Good Elisa, thanks to your fantastic welcome and your advice we were able to enjoy the beauty of Catalonia and around it! Absolutely recommended!

Lovely B&B in the heart of Catania. Clean, spacious, nice service. Elisa the owner makes you feel welcome and suggests nice places. Highly recommend it!

Elisa very nice, super breakfast with great products and all Sicilian, comfortable and clean room. Family environment.
Should I go back to Catania would be my "home".
