BB Aituzza

Booked at B&B Aituzza but teh apartment is closed because of Covid-19.
We didn't received any information that the apartment is closed and we need to go to the Santuzza Hotel for our booking. Waiting somebody come to open the door but nobody came. We called the phone number provided on the reservation but the desk clerk don't tell us clearly the place we must to go to.

They're thieves. Be careful. It should be closed.

We booked here based on the reviews, none of which mentioned the ‘unofficial’ nightclub literally right below, which explains why we had to pay in full for 2 nights, up front (didn’t happen anywhere else in our 2 weeks in Sicily). Earplugs, plus a pillow wrapped around one’s head, could not drown out the heavy sounds of a live band and ‘singers’ (karaoke level) belting out awful songs. I counted 3 execrable numbers by Boney M, which is the stuff of nightmares, had I been able to actually sleep. It went till 4 am or maybe later. The location and the price were good, the ‘continental’ breakfast, adequate (you had to walk next door into a cramped room, but we did get cappuccinos). When we wearily asked about the ‘nightclub’, the staff waved our concerns away, saying a lot of guests also complained and that they would make sure it didn’t happen on our 2nd night (it didn’t). I was determined to get some kind of compensation for a night (and following day) ruined, but there was no recourse, just an empty desk. Would’ve happily paid double or triple for any other place that facilitated sleep. Also, the pipes in the building emit a high pitched squealing sound every 10 minutes or so.
