Honestly, I'm baffled as to why this place has such high reviews.
Google Maps has deceived us multiple times in Catania and this place was no exception.
Here are some notes:
-Wifi signal not great and internet cut out intermittently.
-Bed incredibly squeaky and on wheels.
-The overhead lights in the room are all orange (not warm white, but orange) and it's not a great experience once all the natural light is gone.
-You can hear everything from the other rooms and from the strange common area room (where someone was smoking during our stay)
-The common "kitchen" is not a kitchen. There's an oven and a sink. No counter space and no stove/burner.
-The air conditioner is nowhere near powerful enough to cool the entire room (high ceiling) — I wouldn't want to be here in summer.
-Noise from the street outside was loud and incessant.
-Room generally felt dirty and unkempt — chipped/peeling paint, broken windowpane,
-Only one small bar of soap for a four-night stay with two people for both handwashing and showering.
-Television was incredibly small (not a smart TV) and only got one scrambly channel.
Yes, I know it looks very nice in the photos. Don't be deceived. It's not at all what we expected.
This place is 100% not at three-star hotel (it's not even a hotel).
On a final note, they have refused to provide a receipt for the stay.

B&B 4Elementi is a fantastic place to stay, offering a minimalist decor that creates a calm and stylish atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable, and the balcony provides a stunning view of the surroundings. Located close to Via Etna and all local amenities, it’s the perfect base for exploring the area. Whether you’re in town for sightseeing or just to relax, this B&B offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended 🙂
