We just spent a lovely 2 days at Villa Carlotta! The property was beautiful, our rooms were spacious, and I absolutely loved soaking in the large claw foot tub after hiking the Valley of the Temples. Everything we needed was taken care of including a delicious breakfast each morning with fresh croissants straight from the oven. Our children loved the yard, especially the comfy swings. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would love to visit again one day!

A mix of good and not so good. The good: well maintained pool, generous continental breakfast, adequate parking. Ditto internet. The not so good: waiting almost an hour for the owner to open the front gate set a less than happy arrival. The room was sparsely furnished, and had an adjoining balcony with small table and chairs to sit outside slapping at mosquitoes. The fridge was turned off and found to be broken on arrival. Eventually replaced with another (working but with broken freezer door). Bathroom was old and water pressure in shower was seriously poor. Added to that, towels were very well worn, and not replaced despite being soiled and thrown on the floor. The cleaner insisted they be hung up to dry no matter how obvious was the desire to have them replaced. The staff are grim-faced, and the owner runs the place in an obliging but rigid manner. Given what I now know, I would not have chosen to stay at this establishment.
