Hotel is decorated in a traditional style, staff are helpful and friendly. Beautiful view from the bar and easy to access the rest of the Island using the bus services (just make sure you time them right! )

Just returned from Hotel Solacante. What an enchanting little hotel, lovely rooms, staff are so accommodating, spotlessly clean, pool area lovely with the sun all day and the view is spectacular. Such a great base to explore Procida. Definitely on my list to return.

I was disappointed with this hotel from arrival till we left (two nights earlier than booked for).
We arrived late due to missing a ferry and were told we could check in, in the morning. When we went to the desk there was no one there, we went to breakfast and mentioned we hadn’t checked in and was told it was breakfast time. We tried again after breakfast and before going out with no luck. Once we did check in we were finally given details — Wi-Fi code, door code etc.
After we checked in we found out there was a private party in the pool area which made in unusable up till 6pm — we were not informed of such event when we checked in 10 minutes earlier.
Two days later after a long day visiting Pompei we wanted a quiet dinner and early night only to get back to find there was another private party with a DJ that went on till midnight — again we were not notified which meant we couldn’t use the restaurant or have an early night due to very loud music. At this point we booked a new hotel (at an additional £200 cost to ourselves) to try and salvage some of the holiday that had been less than satisfying.
When we checked out the next morning the owner did not enquire why we were leaving, ask if we’d enjoyed our stay or said anything that would lead you to think they cared.
Such a massive let down as all the reviews looked good, and the hotel is lovely…. Unfortunately the management let the hotel down. I would not recommend staying here.

I have just returned from six nights at the Solcalante Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful position and has lovely views from the terrace overlooking the island of Ischia. However, it is totally let down by the management team. This hotel is run by those who are very lacking in any people skills. They are non — communicative and unfriendly. They did not even give us eye contact during our whole visit. Fortunately their staff were kind and hard working. Breakfast staff and cleaners were very helpful. They kept the rooms and pool clean and tidy.
Two events were held at the hotel during our stay (without any prior warning) and we were asked to leave the pool for a private function. We were restricted from the bar area or able to sit on the terrace. (reserved notices were left on all of the chairs/loungers). These parties were large and very busy and noisy. We felt we had to go out even though we had planned a quiet evening and to have dinner at the hotel. There is only one restaurant in walking distance from hotel. (10mins walk).
The events were on Saturday 14th (4pm-very late) and on the Tuesday (12-6).
When I complained to one of the management team he was very rude and said “We had only booked a room at the hotel not a pool”. This was totally incorrect, we booked bed and breakfast with all the amenities the hotel has to offer.
I am 68 years old and my husband and I have extensively travelled. We have never come across this bad attitude before.

Charming, rustic hotel in keeping with the island itself. Very clean, fresh towels and beds made daily. We loved our room and terrace area in the garden. Pool cleaned daily but not very warm at this time of year. Nice fresh breakfast.
A couple of things to note: we left our key intentionally one day and couldn’t get back in on our return at 8.30pm. An emergency contact number had been left on reception (inside the building) but not on the door. Fortunately another resident let us in. So take your key with you!
We visited first week in Oct, apparently this is midge season, beware as your room is surrounded by a lovely garden and we found it difficult to venture out come evening time without being eaten alive!
Island advise — explore a little by foot if possible, the islands public buses are great but in actual fact you may find that you could have walked it in less time than the bus takes!
There’s a delightful rustic little deli /cafe a few hundred yards left of the hotel (past the church) highly recommend.

This is a small, family run hotel. The island of Procida is very small and quaint — the hotel matches this style. Rooms are very clean and spacious. They are fairly basic and in a traditional homely style. Ideal for our short break.
The garden area is lovely and our room had a great patio area, very relaxing to have a drink in the evening.
We ate here one evening — you have to pre-order dinner. The food was delicious and freshly prepared.
This area of the island is very quiet, there is restaurant about five minutes walk away (Ristorante La Pergola) which was very good. There are other restaurants and shops about 15 min walk away.
The port is about 20 — 25 min walk away or a short cab ride. Beware of the cabs though — we made the rookie error of taking a cab without asking price, got fleeced 20 Euro.
There is a local bus service which is very popular.
You can walk around the entire island in a day.
The breakfast is reasonable — would have liked a bit more choice, but as there are a small number of guests this is to be expected. It would be nice if coffee was offered on arriving, but staff will make coffee if you ask them.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
This is the ideal place to stay when visiting the island.

Lovely pool and terrace overlooking the sea with snack bar (doubles as restaurant at breakfast and dinner). Rooms OK, staff very helpful, breakfast good, view outstanding. Snags are the dinner provision and the location. Although the hotel is quite near the famous Postino beach there are no restaurants within easy walking distance, which is a shame as the food in the hotel we think is brought in from outside and was not particularly good. I was served on the first evening with what I think was a large crayfish or something similar which I found difficult to eat at all. Nice, helpful staff though.

Lovely spot with beach views and pool up top — you have to walk about. 4 miles to a public beach. Breakfast was beautiful, nice baked spread — We came here after Capri and it was much needed relaxation, and low key energy. Pool hours were limited 11-8, would have been nice of those were extended so you can swim early in the morning or later at night — but overall we loved the spot!

2 weeks stay, comfortable, clean, well kept rooms. We had a double with patio on the garden, enjoyed cool down there in the hottest hours of the day. Owners kind, supportive for any request we made, they make a great deal of difference. Family ambient, not the impersonal grand hotel.
The best piece is the terrace with an astonishing sea view, where we had all brekfast and the dinners when not exploring the island. 7 minute walk from the famous il positno beach.
Small spa with jacuzzi and sauna. Good wi fi connection everywhere in the hotel.
Breakfast offers typical delicious mouth watering sweets and pizzas, fresh fruit, foamed cappuccino. (Lactose free and gluten free available).
Recommended without any hesitation.

This place is the best! My fiancé and I were able to book an hour before and the staff was really helpful. Upon arriving at the ferry we decided to walk. The walk was about 25 minutes from the port to the hotel. The staff quickly got us checked in to our beautiful place and the last room they had for us was a garden view. The garden is stunning. There are so many beautiful flowers and the grass is really well kept. The garden leads you to the patio which has an incredible view of the Sea and Ischia. For dinner we were able to walk to a restaurant called La Pergola, which I highly recommend as well. The breakfast at the hote they has was so delicious! The fruit was the most fresh fruit I’ve ever had and try the Lingua di Procida. I could give this place ten out of five stars I would because that is the amount of value you are getting out of this place. The place, the people, the atmosphere is fantastic.
