Spent a week at the Bristol with Riviera Travel, it couldn't be faulted.

Excellent location on lake front, beautiful setting and style, friendly staff, clean rooms and many amenities. However, rooms at the back of the hotel are far and feel remote, breakfast is quite expensive and there is a noticeable language barrier with staff other than front desk. Would still recommend this hotel for a lovely stay in Stresa.

Good classic hotel. Room big enough, n clean. If u get room with balcony, go outside n enjoy your incredible sunrise lake view from your room. Standard breakfast. Nice n warm staff because my group tour arrived at here at midnight and being served well by them. Recommend hotel at this area.

Excellent! Clean room, nice view of lake Maggiore. Nice pool. (Indoor and outdoor). Breakfast is good but they still have trouble with sausage and eggs like many other hotels in Italy.

It's a really old-timy English feel in the hotel. I have to give a big shout out to the staff. They were absolutely amazing! Nothing was too much to ask. They helped us find a great restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Went as far as calling 4 different restaurants to make sure we had a good spot. Also they arranged for a taxi for us. Wonderful old school 5 star service!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and really didn’t want to leave today. Beautiful situation on Lake Maggiore, lovely staff, very nice room and excellent food. The garden and pool area was fantastic. Only wish I’d had a dip in the lake… there was a little secluded area directly opposite the hotel ideal for it too. I’m sure someone must’ve taken the opportunity. Maybe next time.

Beautiful shore-side hotel with great facilities. Stayed one night at the Grand Hotel Bristol and absolutely loved it. The hotel itself is really beautiful, all nicely decorated and we'll maintained. The room is well sized and equipped, with very comfortable beds and spotless clean. A real plus for the swimming pool, which is greatly maintained and spacious. Excellent stay, would recommend.

Great. I was there in mid-August. Retròstyle Rooms But it's in there. Indoor (heated) and outdoor swimming pool.

2 stars… is about the level of service you'll get, out of the 4 that were promised. Everything to the bare minimum, amenities only partially refilled on the second day, not even a kettle or a little bottle of water in the rooms. "Fitness" and "sauna" are a disaster, and we are still looking for the whirlpool. Also, room could have been considered clean if the towels on the floor had been replaced, and not put back on their stand…

Hotel on the edge of Lake Maggiore, ideally placed for boat access to the Borromées Islands.
The room was very clean with a Renaissance style full of charm.
The breakfast is very nice and clean.

Large hotel at end of row of half a dozen similar grand hotels. Has a good bar and a large indoor swimming pool.

For sure, I will never visit this hotel again. It is very old and you can see a lot of damages in different points.
But the horrible thing was, that I have asked the hotel if it is possible to checkout on 12, not 11 o’clock.
The lady at the reception told me, that the hotel is full and they are waiting for new guests, but: If if we pay an extra charge, it will be possible.
Really? Without money it is full, with money it is not full?
It doesn’t depends on money, it just depends on this horrible situation.
This is not my hotel, I will never visit it again, never!

I think people are blinded by the pool in the back of the hotel that they aren’t paying attention to what’s inside their room. From the outside and the landscape this hotel looks nice. Walk into your room and you time travelled back to 1710 with the same old carpet and furniture. I found tiny ants and asked to move my room. My new room I found baby roaches. This hotel is disgusting.

The hotel overlooks Lake Maggiore and the view is fantastic. On a clear day you can see the Islands and mountains: Incatevole. Excellent services!

Nice hotel for work conference with good meeting room, Wi-Fi and food. Bedrooms are small and dired. Bathroom is cramped.

Very nice hotel, only be careful not to be had. Indeed, there is a building behind this hotel which serves as an annex to the hotel. This is accessed via a horizontal elevator (yes). Once arrived in this annex everything is done so that we see little difference (except the staircase), including in the room. But if you go outside you will see the big difference in architecture between a nice hotel and a HLM building.

Amazingly good hotel with wonderful views. Very friendly, professional staff and great rooms. Excellent for business events. Food is superb and the outdoor pool area is great. This is a smashing hotel, ideal for families or couples looking for a high quality holiday.

Good reception, but hotel a little faded certainly is a detail, however the walls of the rooms thick like cigarette papers… big black dot! A heated pool outside would have been a plus. Nevertheless: very good location, close to the cable car and boats for the islands Boromés + parking available for 10 €/night.

Excellent hotel and location. Lovely swimming pools and gardens. Stresa is a beautiful town with many hotels but this one deserves consideration when planning an itinerary. Food in the hotel is very good as is the service. Hotel very popular with English and German tourists and staff speak both languages.

Visited at a wedding I was able to appreciate the exquisite hospitality of the director, Paul, and his fantastic staff. A unique location and a great lunch, together with the impeccable service provided by a very knowledgeable staff, make this hotel one of the best I have ever attended.

Nice view, in the mid range of the local grand hotels, very quiet, perfect for a nice romantic stay. Nice bar in front with amazing view on the lake. Perfect for the last drink of the night. Sky bar almost next door.

I followed a Conference at this hotel. Luxury rooms with wooden baroque décor, beautiful garden with pool and lake view areas with very refined Art Nouveau Windows. Very nice.

Nice staff, clean rooms and a nice pool. The breakfast was really good and the proximity to Milan airport was nice. The Wi-Fi was difficult to use. At first you had 240 minutes free, but then you had to write a review to get 300 more minutes.
