Very good accommodation at an unusual location right at Passo dello Stelvio on 2790 m asl.
Totally quiet at night! And morning awaits you with a rich breakfast!

Really warm and welcoming place, a real reference on the Stelvio.

Only 3 stars with this equipment, but well maintained and clean!

What to say, a hotel at 2760m, friendly staff both because I had to move the reservation a day due to an unexpected, and for keeping hope of the kitchen despite our arrival at the limit of the time when the restaurant evening opened. Indoor place for motorcycles. Room of normal size as well as shower and bathroom. Wifi working. The staff were very helpful. Great.

We left the hotel this morning and much to the chagrin. We had a great time, all the staff are at the top, the rooms are very clean and cosy, the restaurant and the food great, the lady who runs the hotel is super friendly and very friendly! We will be back soon! Thanks from Moreno and Giulia.

I don’t normally leave hotel reviews, but I wanted to give this spot some positive feedback. I had a great experience during my stay there, and the price was nothing short of perfect for my needs. Originally, I had not intended to do more than sleep here, but I found the staff (certainly appeared to be family owned) warm, welcoming, and helpful. After a later than anticipated check-in, I went down to the bar for a pizza and a glass of wine, and had a nice table next to the fireplace. The location is perfect. Situated at the top of the Stelvio Pass, it gives you ease access to the pass in both directions, as well as the Umbrail Pass towards Switzerland. Even though the rooms were a little outdated with a small CRT television, they are more than adequate (the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars). The beds were super soft and I had zero intention of watching television while I was there. It was also enjoyable to have a private bathroom with a shower. One thing that really won me over is that the staff was patient with my less than perfect Italian, and were helpful even when I had trouble finding the correct words. I will most definitely return, and next time I will be bringing friends with me. Thank you, Hotel Genziana, for a wonderful stay. Don’t change a thing.

A pretty nice and cozy hotel! Good breakfast, big free parking close to the hotel. The room though was a bit cool in the evening (July, 2018), but there is an electric kettle and warm blankets. A good hotel to stay at the Stelvio Pass!

Stop in the high mountains to refresh yourself
With a large group of Friends passionate about cars & engines (MINI) last Sunday 07/2017 we stopped (after booking) in this great restaurant. We were accommodated in the lounge of the restaurant of the Hotel Gentziana located right at the top of the Stelvio Pass, really nice and quaint place and also very clean.
Lunch was OTTIMO with tasty and hearty dishes, I recommend asking as a starter "sciatt" (typical dish of Valtellina) which are very good and tasty.
The sympathy of the room workers is an invitation to return to appreciate even more the good stay. The red wine of the house was much appreciated by those who did not have to drive on the way back (seen the road with countless hairpin bends it is absolutely not recommended to do so after drinking alcohol). Thanks for everything.

Fantastic High mountain Hotel. Very cozy. It has a very nice little bar with a very rich homemade pastries and firewood fireplace. Recommended if you are looking for something in the area.

Overnight with friends after a gypsy in Moto, great hotel with shelter for motorcycles that at these altitudes is important, friendly and professional staff, dinner and after dinner around the perfect fireplace, excellent and plentiful breakfast, perfect to pick up The ride in motion with temperatures not really summer;-) … to remake!

Perfect location. Half board meals are good. Rooms with heating, clean and comfortable. But, poor Wi-Fi…

They were so courteous to wait for well 3 were committed on booking rooms available at that time and then respond "sorry I didn't post for this time. "

Magnificent restaurant is a must for anybody who is passing around here: those who like to eat dead animals, they must taste the "cube" (a real specialty of the restaurant: a rack of meat in a cube of wood) and the goulash, I am told are superb. I am a vegetarian I found the valtellinese available: almost completely veg (I'd suggest the pizzoccheri). I loved the impiattamento, very nice, with sauces and creams. Very pretty and elegant room, cozy family management. I will be back.
