Food is superb. Winnies Bar serves delicious cocktails and perfect lunch menu with a beautiful view of the lake. Lemon garden restaurant is beautiful and very romantic.

Fabulous place to stay. Celebrated my birthday here had great food and wine — great staff and views over the lake.

Beautiful hotel on Lake Garda, a classic that has lost none of its uniqueness. When you book a dinner reservation, even if not staying here, you receive a card that allows you to park in a gated area across the street.
The staff is what those of us of a certain age remember of well trained European service, quiet, helpful, efficient. Beautiful old bar but the option of having a drink outside. I had one of the best Sazeraz versions anywhere. Piero takes great care in making every drink. Dinner was superb in a glass walled room next to the lake. We shared a ravioli with crayfish followed by lake whitefish. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Great location on Lake Garda, a Grand and elegant hotel, fantastic food and very helpful and attentive staff. The alfresco dining both at breakfast and evening with superb views across the Lake is amazing. We had a Junior Suite with a fantastic balcony and lake view, would thoroughly recommend the extra cost it is well worth it.

The most amazing hotel! I have just come back from a fabulous 2 weeks at our favourite hotel The Grand Hotel Gardone with my youngest son and my parents. (this is our second visit to the hotel)

Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms and opulent dining room bar and residents lounge. Very attentive staff who deliver friendly service and advice. This our third visit to this hotel and we hope to return again. In two words it provides 'timeless elegance'.

Beautiful location, clean and tidy and very grand. Breakfast service is sometimes a little slow, however it is very busy. Friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful Hotel, we had a lovely corner room with terrace, views were amazing & so was the room.
But we are there 20 years too early, this hotel is for the elderly, which is nice if you are 70 or 80.
Very dissapointing with the staff, not so friendly or helpful, I had to ask for assistance to put my Beach umbrella up, could only have one beach towel, had to pay for mattress on banana lounge, could not take your own water to the poolhad to pay double for an extra teabag as I like it strong was going to cost 14 euro, this hotel us nice but the staff have no idea about customer service. Might come back in 20 years time.

I have stayed here many times. The setting is beautiful. The staff are very friendly. Massimo and Gianluca are superb. Great value for money. Close to local bars and restaurants. One of my favourite places in the World.

Third visit to Lake Garda, first time at this hotel. Lovely location, easy ferry access by day, quieter by night but enough bars/restaurants for a stroll and an after dinner drink. Food at Hotel Grand Gardone was first rate, as was the service. We had a lake view room with small balcony. Bedroom decor classical but a bit tired, so if you want london or american wall-to-wall luxury, then maybe not for you… but certainly as good as any other italian 4/5star that I've stayed in. Would certainly return.

The most wonderful hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in staff are very friendly service is top notch, the hotel itself is very old but classical would highly recommend a visit.

This has been our first visit to The Grand Hotel Gardone and it certainly won't be our last! We came here for our Honeymoon and was welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Champagne, which was a lovely surprise! The service from every department was nothing but charming. The room was beautiful with a stunning view of the lake. The meals were delicious and very romantic on the terrace overlooking the lake (If you want to get a table on the terrace this must be booked in advance, as the table is yours for the duration of your stay if on half board). There is an old-style charm about this place where many celebrities from the past would stay — the most famous being Sir Winston Churchill. In fact the bar is named after him in his honour. I would definitely recommend this hotel if style and opulence is what you're looking for.

Absolutely Superb Hotel. Very Comfortable Everywhere. Food is 1st Class and All of The Staff are Wonderful and So Friendly. If you have never been there you are missing out on The Best Holiday Ever!

The hotel is amazing and our room and the pool are great. The staff are generally excellent but, we went to the a la carte restaurant to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary on 23rd September. We were the second table of diners in the restaurant. Our starter & wine arrived ok, but after we ordered our mains other diners arrived and they received their food before us. We think there was a food critic in as he got all the attention & took pictures of his food & menu. Our mains took one & half hours to arrive, despite being told they were coming in '2 minutes' three times! Plus my meal was not quite as described — no lentils!
Our dessert was very good but we had been in the restaurant for 3 hours by then and the magic had long since faded!
We were given half a glass of dessert wine as an apology!
I don't think we'll bother with a la carte for the rest of our stay!

A trip back in time, service with a capital S. Polite, attentive and interesting staff. Fantastic location with a classy but not stuffy atmosphere.

The hotel is beautifully located and is huge. But the rooms and general feel of the hotel looks like back from 80s. If I were to come back here then only for the location.

Very handsome hotel, oozes classic style from years gone by with some contemporary features. Never over crowded by kids or grandkids, pool is clean. The rooms, especially the suites are amazing. Wifi does suck here and only works in public areas.

Beautiful hotel with old world charm, for older generation or if you like quiet. Can take a 20min ferry to guarda across the lake. Food delicious, service terrific… breakfast included… will go again!

In was awesome, really it is amazing place.

Relaxing holiday in calm clean environment. Pleasant staff all earger to please. Very grand and not too ostentatious. Wi-fi in bedroom would have been the icing on the cake.

We have just returned from an idyllic two weeks at the Grand Hotel Gardone. Super room, fantastic views, wonderful staff and ALL so very helpful especially Barbara and her team on Reception. The Restaurant is delightful and the food was good and much improved on last year. Roberto and his team were always so welcoming to the restaurant and so very efficient — the Grand Hotel Breakfast could well set you up for the day! We hope to be able to go back again and again.
