Excellent base, 10 strolling mins walk from centre. Very clean and staff friendly. Pool lovely and continental breakfast filling. Well recommended, give it a go.

Fantastic hotel, stayed for a week and found no faults at all. Close to all amenities and also ferry port. Great breakfast and pool area would highly recommend.

The hotel is very good. Very clean. Nice staff. Early stucco was always fresh and very tasty. Parking was free (parking or underground parking). Beautiful and clean pool. In 10 min. On foot you can reach the old town or the lake. The hotel is really recommended. Thank you, it was very nice.

Excellent hotel! Everything about this hotel was excellent! The rooms were very clean. A very comfortable hotel! The breakfast was a feast! The service from the staff was impeccable! The hotel is walking distance from the train station and the beautiful downtown/pier area. Excellent location! I recommend this hotel highly if you are in the Desenzano area.

Only flaw: The breakfast is not very assorted and satisfies the tastes of foreign customers. The sweet part is not convincing and it is poor. Really a pity, but it is a surmountable aspect with a minimum of will.

A historic hotel in Desenzano del Garda. It has been renovated for some years now and is much improved in style. It boasts management of great experience and it shows. For those who stay in Desenzano is definitely a prestigious location.

The location of the hotel is very good, close to the railway station and center of the city. Has parking space for cars. Rooms are clean, especially bathroom is very good. Has balcony, you can see the e swimming pool. Breakfast is very rich for the Italian style.

Stayed for a week with my husband and young son. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we all loved the excellent breakfast and pool. They also left a lovely bottle of chilled wine in our room for my husband's birthday which was a lovely touch. The only thing I would have liked would have been more sunloungers available at the poolside as on a couple of days we were not able to get one (usually because other guests had 'reserved' them with towels then gone away). Other than that, it was a great hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

This year we stayed for the first time in the beautiful Hotel Nazionale. There is really nothing to complain about this hotel! The location is super central, the buffet offers plenty of choice, the staff is so nice and nice, the cleanliness is great! Not to be forgotten is the very large and clean pool. We enjoyed our stay and were very sad when we had to leave. We will definitely come back to this great hotel in an enchanting place on Lake Garda!

Excellent hotel, very similar to the marvellous Excelsior Le Terraze in Garda where we normally stay. That is 4 and so should the Nazionale be. Hotel is absolutely spotless inside and out, the cleaners do a magnificent job. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds. Just a 5 minute stroll into the town/port unless you arrive after dark and you get lost!

Firstly the service at hotel Nazionale was exceptional, the staff were helpful and welcoming. The rooms are a nice size and kept to a good standard in my opinion. Although not many English channels on the tv, not that it should matter I suppose. The air conditioning was the highlight of the room and made you feel comfortable the the hot weather. The pool is not crowded and seems of a decent size. There are a nice amount of sunbeds. Location wise you are not far from the lakefront or the old town, only around 5 — 10 minutes depending if you take the choice of an Italian speed stroll in which it might take a bit longer. Plenty of lovely places to eat nearby. All in all pretty cool.

Modern hotel, clean, new rooms and nicely decorated. The pool is inviting, too bad it's not the appropriate period.

only disadvantage; a bit noisy (busy road & car wash oposite the hotel) but it was not a party breaker for us. :-)
