Villa Platamone is an exceptional and extremely private hideaway run discretely but efficiently by Silvano, his son Felipe and assisted by Manuela (breakfast room) and Nicola (night service).
What you see on their website truly corresponds to what you will experience when you arrive.
I'd recommend the room Conte on the main floor above the ground reception hall and breakfast room. It has a corner bedroom with direct access to the terrace, small salon and large marble bathroom.

Staff — Silvano and family could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. A genuine pleasure to have met everyone. They clearly have a passion and so much knowledge that they so gladly share about the breathtaking, historic Villa!
Location/building — 5-mins from Como on foot. Tucked away behind private gates, the most incredible building; architecture and decor that will probably never again be made by man — perfect!
Superbly run small hotel of six rooms. Location around 20 minutes walk from the centre. I can’t fault the accommodation, the staff who manage the day to day are enthusiastic about the building the quality of service received was second to none. We had the roof top room, large and airy with all the amenities you would expect. Good choice of breakfast options and eggs freshly cooked as you wanted them. Staff were knowledgeable and informative on places to visit in the mornings which was welcome.
