We stayed from August 8th to August 16th and I can say that we had a very good time. Large and very clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.

When you enter to the hotel lobby, it looks nice, renovated, and the receptionist was kind and helpful. The problems began at the evening. Our room was located on the first floor. Our room was't so nice as the lobby, but we accepted it. But when we tried to sleep, around midnight, we realised, that could hear every noise from the reception desk and from the bar. When the main entrance door was opening, a bell rang every time. Somebody started to use a vacuum cleaner at the lobby, then someone turned on loud music, so I had to ask them to turn it off. You can hear everything, the activity of other guest from the neighbour and from the corridor, from the street, disaster! The rooms don't have sound-proof at all. On Booking. Com they promise soundproof rooms. We had to reserve arrival time for breakfast, because of COVID safety, but the organisation was a disaster. We had to wait 25 minutes standing on the stairs, till we got our table. The staff (two people) managed to serve the guest from the buffet and it was very very slow. We spent nearly one hour with the breakfast. The staff was unprofessional, for example, we asked for coffee, then we had to ask for a spoon, and than for sugar. Maybe they need some special training, how to serve guests in a restaurant.

Courtesy and poetry in describing their drinks transmitted in the presentation I would say excellent and in their appetizers sought-after delicacies not at all taken for granted as well as the whole environment…

Giordano was so attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Girdano recommend some wonderful restaurants and he made the best cocktails especially the Bicycle after I fell off one. A very valuable asset to this wonderful hotel.

Great location near the train station, to be able to comfortably visit the nearby Cinque Terre (we had no problems with any noise coming from outside). Luxury décor as befits a hotel of this caliber. Very professional and courteous staff. Recommended.

The hotel is located near the train station, which is a big advantage. Walking distance to the centre of La Spezia and next door to a laundrette. The hotel has a classy old feel to it. You feel like you are stepping back into the late 30's early 40's. The bedrooms are a clever mix of old and classy with a twist of modern and charming. The staff is very friendly, sweet, and helpful. Doggie friendly which is a must for us. The breakfast is avarage. Overall I do recommend this hotel would stay there again.

Elevator service from ground to top, they upgraded us free to a superior room, so very pleased Heater/cooler operates even when the room is unoccupied, which is wonderful, and it's easy to set Breakfast is first class, with fresh eggs you can boil to your taste and all kinds of tea and coffee.

Hotel very close to the station and a public car park, very effective then from the logistical point of view.
Very elegant and well furnished and clean rooms, very comfortable bed. The small sitting-ground floor are very relaxing and quiet, ideal for reading a good book.
Breakfast is abundant both from the sweet and salty point of view, they are also organic and quality products.

The best place to stay! Has soon you step out from the train you have the hotel, right on the front of you! Clean modern fresh room, staff looking fabulous in traditional uniforms!

Hotel sits in a very busy commercial area with lots of traffic noise out your window. No parking. Booked a double bed and was given two small twin beds advised another $60 to get the bed I booked. Save yourself a lot of frustration and find another place to stay.

The hotel is perfectly located for train travellers. The room was a bit dark, but the breakfast was good (and it is on the top floor).

Very nice and clean, average prices. It is practically attached to the FS station.

Not too impressed. Yes is handy to station but room very basic & so noisy. Had to keep asking questions at reception like could we have wi fi password & when & where was breakfast. No information provided in room — only menu for room service!

Great location-directly across from the train station (but quiet), and very close to the pedestrian only shopping/dining area. The room was large and pretty clean. They seemed to have some sort of Happy Hour snacks in the bar area (or maybe they were from something specific) but during our 2 night stay we never found anyone to ask about it nor anything written. They offer free bikes to guests.

This hotel was a stop for the 5 lands, (market 3 days) we left our car in their parking private for 3 days, good service employee friendly, breakfast ok. 3-5 star.

Its difficult to write my comments because of this lousy Wi-Fi-they have in my room. Very serious and slow moving people working here, this is like from an old movie. This hotel is the most expensive one I had in Italy so far, but also the worst.

Hotel convenient access station for cinque Earth.

We booked this hotel in La Spezia while visiting the Cinque Terre area prior to going on a cruise. With more than the normal amount of luggage I wasn't looking forward to negotiating the uphill cobblestone streets of the villages with our luggage. This hotel turned out to be perfect! Almost directly across the street from the rail station in La Spezia it was very convenient. More importantly though the hotel was a Class A operation — very clean and well cared for, very professional staff, and a great breakfast on the top floor with awesome views. Only nine minutes from the first village, Riomaggiore, I would highly recommend this establishment. Oh, by the way, I had seen Rick Steve's guidebook describe the city of La Spezia as "gritty". I can't hardly figure out where this came from, this area is clean, the people and businesses occupying the piazzas are friendly and the farmers market on Saturday morning was incredible.

This is a beautiful little hotel, clean and very comfortable. Has a beautiful breakfast on the terrazzo on the top floor. It is so close to the station and some lovely piazzas. You can walk to the centre of La Spezia and visit the market. We were met by Arianna who was welcoming and so helpful Thank-you Arianna.
