Ohi Accommodation

Owner excellent, explained all, gave useful advice for city tour. You respect accommodation agreements, you got cheap staying. Shared bathroom? Well you agreed to it, that`s OK for that price. We were staying there in November for 4nights. You can reach majority of Rome center by walk. Recommend.

If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive, and convenient place to stay, this is the place is for you.
Just to be clear, Ohi Accomodation is NOT a hotel. It is an apartment of three rooms and a bath inside a much larger apartment complex. There is no front desk or reception. You need to make arrangements before you arrive to have the property manager meet you to give you the keys. That said there are a few things to be said about Ohi:
The good:
Price — extremely affordable.
Location — there is a public bus stop right outside the door that gets you to many of the best sites. Termini — the central terminal in Rome where you can catch trains, public buses and Metro, is two blocks away. You can walk to many sites, but, with proximity to public transit, we did not walk anywhere.
Room — the room is clean and spacious.
Management — The manager who let us in was very nice and gave us great tips on using transit to get to main attractions in the city.
The not so good:
Sharing the bathroom — we only had one other group sharing the apartment, but with a family of four, competing with them for bathroom time in the morning was a real drag.
Breakfast — not really breakfast. Bread, instant coffee and juice boxes. A decent snack before heading out for the day, but I would not really consider it breakfast.
Street noise — pretty loud all day and night. That would probably be the deal breaker that would stop me from staying again.
