My stay with my father was very nice. All of the facilities were well kept and the staff was always extremely courteous and helpful! The location is close enough to shopping and all the large historic sites but just far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.

Claudio the bar manager was superb. A gracious smile, warm welcome, incredible memory and desire to make your stay memorable was clearly his priority along with his team's. Kathrin the concierge was also exceptional and did a fabulous job of matching your interests and personality to his recommendations. The outside bar is a dream with a garden view the service remains exceptional. I have never written an on-line review yet feel compelled to write given the mixed reviews I read prior to arriving. If you're looking for exceptional personal service and a hotel team to look after you while in Roma this is your destination!

What a gem! Clean, beautiful rooms and grounds. You feel like you're in a very secluded part of Rome, but we were just a very short walk to the ruins, the Coliseum, restaurants and incredible shopping! The restaurant was great! Best food we had was at the restaurant and we ventured out a lot!

Best location in Rome. The Palatine Hill is just in front of the Kolbe Hotel Rome. A good start point from where, by walk, to visit the eternal City. We had a large and quite room with garden view. The reach buffet breakfast is served in the garden where we also enjoyed having our dinner. The Staff is professional and friendly. They have an excellent value for money. Excellent location, just in front of the Palatine and at walking distance from Colosseo, Roman Forum, Campidoglio, Circus Maximo, Travi Fountain, Spanish Steps. They have a large internal garden, it is really an Oasis of peace, where we relaxed and enjoyed having our cocktails, breakfast and dinner outdoor. The food is excellent and the service is professional and friendly. Our room with Palatine view was spectacular, every morning opening the window and at few meters in front of us the Palatine and the roman forum, incredible was alway a wow effect.
We enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

Excellent location and friendly staff. This hotel is located in the historical Centre of Rome just face to face to the Palatino and at walking distance from the Roman Forum, Circus Maximo and Colosseo. They have a large internal garden where we enjoyed having hour breakfast and our dinner in open air. All was to our satisfaction and will come back at the Kolbe Hotel Rome for sure.

Superbly located clean and the staff from reception /restaurant to cleaning ladies are lovely. Food is lovely even though the menu is limited. The rooms could do with tea and coffee making facilities but other than this we have no criticism … an enjoyable stay.

The location is very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Near the hotel-a good farmer's market (however, only works on weekends). At breakfast I would like to see in the menu also casserole of cottage cheese, or cheese-cakes, or warm pancakes. Rooms, unfortunately, without balconies and terraces. The cleaning is quality but 3 times in the week of our stay did not end to our return, although we were absent for more than 3 hours. Overall, the hotel is very nice.

Near the center of the sights, you can reach anywhere on foot.
Our family room var large enough, breakfast has fit, plenty of parking spaces outside. Only a noise (like mill) at night has slightly disturbed me.

Good hotel very comfy beds and the rooms are decently sized. Situated in historic Rome, it is very close to the coliseum and the Roman forum and from our room we had a great view of palatine hill. The breakfast buffet is good too very filling. And the staff are very very friendly. My only gripe with the place would be the toilet in our room would not stop filling up once you flushed it and a piece of door panelling fell off. Other than that was a good stay!

The hotel has a wonderful ambience and the staff magnificent. The Wi-Fi was fast and we had dinner in the restaurant on 2 nights, everything was fresh and handmade. There is no doubt in my mind that we will be back again.

This hotel is the pillar of Rome hotels. The location is wonderful for the Roman Forum. Almost every major tourist hub is within 30 minutes walking distance too. It is very close to many bars and restaurants. It is also within 20 minutes walking of the shopping district. The staff speak good English. Buffet breakfast is served until about 10:00 AM, with many American favorites. The room was modern, and luxurious. The windows opened. The heating was always a bit warm, however. The room and bathroom was clean. The staff would call for a registered taxi, and the hotel did offer tours of the major tourist attractions, which we did not take up. Overall, a perfect Roman hotel, especially for the location.

On arrival was not ready the room and after a few hours was ready a room not corresponding to the reservation.

Despite paying in advance the blonde lady made me quite a few problems for the bill.
I returned late at night after a long day of work and the room was cold!
I called the Porter, who told me that he was going to climb up to fix.
After 15 min (then the 1:45) not seeing him get lure and he replies that he can not go up because he is alone, so will try to solve the problem from the PC, telling me that if it had not resolved in 30 min I would have done the "courtesy" To change rooms!
That is, after a day of work I had to wait, dressed, the hours 2:15 to then move, take a shower and… and then it would be time to wake up to restart!
So what would the hotel serve?
Under the bed I found several items and the breakfast is not even 2 stars.
I mean, bad!
But how did you get four stars?
Ah I forgot that to find the elevator I had to use the thumbs tactic… not even an indica. Mah!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. It is not the first time you stay and everything is at the top. Rooms Services Kitchen Impeccable.

The fantastic location allows Kolbe Hotel to rest firmly on its laurels. It is not bad, but little examples of how little they have to try abound: they serve instant Nescafe coffee! their breakfast is otherwise mediocre; ridiculous internet portal; our shower was over a jacuzzi bath tub that was felt dangerous to get into and out of; there was no iron or ironing board in room; the kettle was broken… We would definitely not consider staying here again if we return to Rome.

I didn't like it at all.
The room was very clean, the bed was very good and the TV was not in any other languages, we said it but they had no intention of trying to solve it, nowadays it is easy! And the Wi-Fi of the hotel I could not connect and is more, the location or the building could not dispose of mine, a disaster!
I would not go back to this hotel.

Great location close to everything. Good food nice staff. Our trip was ruined as air con not working for the 4 days. It was unbearable and they did nothing to offset the cost or the heat. Couldn't move to another room either. Spoilt the holiday. Otherwise good place.

Rooms are nice and mostly clean. Wi-Fi is horribly slow. Go elsewhere if you require reliable internet. We had issues with no hot water in the bathroom for two days. Don’t use the irons unless you want to blow a fuse. Free breakfast is nice and the location is both quiet and centrally located.

Got upgraded, lovely room, nice breakfast, friendly staff and good location (quiet yet close to the centre). Restaurant seems a bit pricey though.

The our hotel room was great! We has reserved the family room for two adults and two kids. Other guests staying with us had a more modest room but it was still good. The breakfast was good and the location of the hotel is very central. We would consider staying there again next time we visit Rome.

Central Hotel, four steps from Circus Maximus behind the Imperial forums. Comfortable rooms, air conditioning a bit strong but at the reception they unlocked it and it was adjusted to the best. Good service.

Anyone coming to Rome, I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help you. We really enjoyed our breakfasts, so much to choose from, we were spoilt for choice. We had a family room, the way it was set out was very clever, giving parents a little privacy. The rooms were very clean and room cleaned daily. We did try the food here one evening, we were not disappointed as it was full of flavour and well presented. The hotel is i…n a quiet area, the Palatine Hills overlook the hotel, but it was far enough away to have privacy. It is just a 5 minute walk away from shops, public transport and restaurants. The sights are between 20-40 minutes walk away, this is a great way to see the real beauty of Rome, don't fancy walking, then get a cab, didn't find these too expensive. The hotel also organised two of our tours, the Vatican where we had a private guide, it can be a little bit more expensive, but so glad we did it this way. Today we walked for 4 hours, visiting the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and the Palace Valencia, back to the hotel gardens to have a relaxing drink. I came here for my 50th birthday, with my husband and my two teenage sons, we all agreed that we would come back to this hotel if we were ever to come back to Rome, this amazing City. All my family would rate this hotel and experience a 5/5.

Excellent Hotel, very friendly staff especially the twins whose names I cannot spell so I wont embarrass myself by trying and Georgiana who made our stay special by there friendliness, and professionalism and we look forward to visiting the Kolbe again very soon. In Detail: — the staff is friendly, always helpful, but knows a certain comfortable distance — the rooms are large, beautiful and comfortable, here is not only on the Design value but also on the convenience of room service is prompt and the selection of the Inroomdining exquisite Restaurant in a beautiful garden in the heart of Rome is more than recommended and the Breakfast: everything what the heart desires, from Sweet to Savory, fresh loaves of bread, cakes, cheese, fish, fruits, Jogurth, different types of fresh juices, freshly pureed fruit sauces, a beautiful ital. Coffee — it really is all there and even more For me is the Kolbe Hotel Rome is a charming place, certainly not just cheap but this really is justified. Beautiful, extremely clean, nice rooms and a great breakfast bar. We stayed 7 days and were not disappointed at all. Really nice, responsive staff — great neighborhood for walking around.

I believe if we hadn't been. Given. The handicapped room, this would have been a 5 star review, but we got it last minute thru a discount site. Word to the wise. Don't accept the handicapped unless you need it. The bathroom is ridiculous and you won't be able to have a proper shower. Breakfast was ok, not stellar. Bed and pillows were hard, not comfortable. I attribute any negative to the fact that we had this weird room. Only stayed one night.

This four star hotel could become 5 star hotel without problem, This hotel is the world of elegance and class! The gardens are lovely and are worth a visit just to see this oasis of calm in the middle of Rome. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden and our pre-dinner cocktails also and it was just delightful! I cannot say enough about the staff, from the concierge to the waiters and everyone in between, they were all welcoming, polite, and ready to help you. The rooms are quite comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The location was perfect for us — easy walking distance to the most important monuments like: Colosseum, Circo massimo Palatine etc. Etc. I would put the Kolbe Hotel rome right at the top. We will suggest this unique four star hotel to all our friends and will book again the Kolbe Hotel Rome in our next visit to Rome.

Modern, new and very clean amenities. Perfect location for sightseeing. Breakfast in garden was lovely, but they serve instant coffee. "Double bed" actually much larger.

Teodoro, 48 facing the Palatine. Rome has its origins on the Palatine. Indeed, recent excavations show that people have lived there since approximately 1000 BC. Better location cannot be. A truly wonderful hotel. The garden is amazing. — the hotel is tucked away in the most charming way, You walk in and it's a different world! The courtyard was lovely to sit and have cocktails. The lemon tree were stunning! The rooms were large, well laid out, housekeeping were excellent with a good turndown service in the morning. Amazingly for a hotel so centrally located the rooms were very quiet. For us it is the number one hotel in Rome. It is our preferred hotel in Rome.

My husband and I are just a 5-day stay in Rome to our first wedding anniversary to celebrate and we are so glad that we us for Kolbe Hotel Rome. When we arrived at the hotel the gentleman at the front desk, the feeling gave us very welcome, without that we had asked a card out and showed us where the most important attractions, where to eat good food can go where and to buy. We were very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. The location is super! In the vicinity of most things, but not too close where it to full if one foot front door. Everything was within walking distance of the Colosseum, Circo Massimo, Campidoglio, Trastevere up on the Vatican. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and we had a great view from our Windows. Overall, we were by this hotel and it was the staff ensured that our stay perfect.

After we the comments on Google maps, we decided here to Kolbe Hotel Rome to try it out. We are happy that we were here, we have no complaints.
The location for doing this was excellent for us, just a short walk from the Colosseum through the Roman Forum, overlooking the Circus Maximus from the roof terrace!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very pleasant staff on reception who checked up after us, gave us a road map showed us routes to the main tourist sights and also owners handle needed several restaurants for us to try. Please take the opportunity to talk to the front desk and the Concierge, they are extremely helpful.
The room we got was on the side of the hotel.
