This was our 3rd stay at Il Palazzetto. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Rome. It’s unfortunate that the reviews are confusing as there is both the hotel, and the rooftop bar. The hotel is excellent and is the best of both worlds (Hassler facilities and a large room with beautiful view over the Spanish steps without the Hassler price tag). It’s best to book directly with the Hotel Palazzetto to get breakfast included. Checkin is at the Hassler, and concierge will escort you to your room and transfer the luggage. Rooms are very large and well serviced. Noise from the bar overhead might annoy some, but we had no problem at all. The rooftop bar has one of the best views in town. We found it to be fairly priced (considering the location), the staff were friendly and the cocktails we had were good.

This was the best experience we have had. We were greeted at the door, shown to our beautiful room and the staff could not have been anymore helpful. Everyone was friendly and our room was amazing! One of the best, if not the best hotel, we've stayed in. Thank you and we will return!

Wow, such a beautiful location. We had a glass of wine, at the rooftop, round sunset. It was truly beautiful, you have a view over the Spanish steps, and all the way over the city and all of the rooftops, all the way to St Peters church. The wine was good, you get snacks with the wine, and the prices were all right. The waiters as well were kind and service minded, with a smile.

Stay away! Food selection very limited and only frozen (yes, even pizzas, with an horrible aftertaste of engine oil), wine selection quite limited for a “wine academy” (and — at least the two prosecco I tried — not very good), ridiculous prices even for the location (12€ for 0, 75l of… still water). Service was very kind, but there’s only so much you can do with such choices…

Pizza and Alcohol. That pizza frozen. But great view of the stairs of piazza di spagna.

Good location with friendly staff servicing nice drinks and light food (lunch I had). Nice place to just relax, talk or just look at Piazza di Spagna!

Good location, prety view to Spanish steps and surrounding building rooftops. Pricy menu, but they delivered it well. Worth second visit.

We arrived a 6pm for a drink. We ordered 3 beers and only 5mn after being serverd, they asked us if we want another drink because the bar was about to being closed. 5mn later, they asked us to pay, €30 for 3 beers. Then, at 6pm45 they told us that the bar was about to being closed and we had to leave. The staff was speaking noisy and very disrespectful. No one warned us that the bar was about to close and when we said that it was not fair that started to get mad at us. Poor experience, rude staff, expensive, I definitely recommend you avoid this adress.

Terrible food and mediocre service. Nice spot for a drink, but worst pizza I have eaten in Rome. Don’t bother checking the menu.

Beautiful location of prestige where you can rent rooms for private events, in addition to the hotel, as in this case where there is a Christmas market and some tastings.

The Palazzetto is a sublime, one of those unrepeatable experience that mark you all your life. The atmosphere that characterise in the Palazzetto together with the professionalism of the staff is a continuous succession of emotions.

Unfriendly staff member on the terrace did not let us sit down for a drink / dinner, saying that it was closing in 15 minutes and instead directed us to a seat in the bar a level lower, with a worse view. We walked by a few hours later and the terrace was still open.

Great cocktails, casual chick with an excellent view of the Spanish steps, church bells, and chill cover music.

Amazing hotel — perfectly located.

We had a wonderful experience for honeymoon at this hotel. It was clean with friendly staff and in a great location. The Spanish Steps were closed during our stay, so it felt like we had them all to ourselves, enjoying the view from our room and from the rooftop bar. The concierge was very helpful, making our dinner reservations every night for us. They had a special treat for us since it was our honeymoon which made the experience that much better. They checked/cleaned our room twice per day.

Drinks are not exceptional, but the place is. We enjoyed gin sours on the sun with awesome views to piazza Spagna.

A great place to stop by and visit. I recommend going and watching the sun set!

Very unfriendly, typical tourist trap — 5€ for an espresso?!

Asked for cream on the side for hot chocolate. They took the drink back then 2 minutes later they brought it back saying they were all out of cream without much excuse sand then we still pay the same price. $16

Beautiful location with an unbeatable view over Rome and the Spanish Spain. The service could be improved. Prices are a little high but well worth it.

Excellent cuisine with a great wine list, an exquisite service, besides our waiter spoke Castilian.
Very reasonable price.
In short a perfect, highly recommended choice.
