Maison Risorgimento

Super nice, the staff and management are super helpful. The place is clean and in an amazing location.

Room condition and property is NOT as shown on pic.
There is Rust in bathroom, wall paper is coming off the walls, some areas taped up. Air conditioning not cooling, weird smell caused allergies. I could not stay at this property. I was lucky I found new hotel and requested refund as not even one night was used. Property owner refused to return my money and became rude and disrespectful. I ended up having to pay for a new stay.
No breakfast at property, you have to walk across the street to a cafe and use vouchers. The property has a gate to the street that is always open, not monitored. I did not feel safe. Stay away from this property. You can find other hotels nearby in great condition and for similar price.

Loved our stay here. Giorgio was the perfect host, very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was very nice and very clean. Great location too, no more than a 25 minute walk away from any of the main attractions. 5 minute walk to the Vatican. I would highly recommend to anybody.

We had a really nice stay here. Location is amazing: Prati is a really nice area with lots of cafes and restaurants that are reasonable with great food, walking distance to everywhere, very close to the Vatican, metro stop nearby, buses. Maison Risorgimento is located inside a building courtyard which is very safe and also gorgeous — very Roman. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. Very stylish. Giorgio was very helpful with anything we needed. The price was reasonable. I hope to be back in Rome some day so I can stay here again.

Horrible experience with the host, Giorgio, who was accusing us of smoking in the room, shouting and banging the table in front of us on our last day in Rome. His colleague had also to ask him to calm down as he couldn’t control his temper. We had to go back in the middle of the day and were treated disrespectfully before ending our holiday.
He was also blackmailing us to give a 10* review on Booking. Com, or he will give us a fine for the “cigarette smell” even though we told him we are non-smokers and the room just smelled like steamy and soap smell from the shower. They insisted that it smelled of smoke. When we went back, apparently there was some ash on the windowsill that we didn’t see before we left.
He even shouted us saying he was going to call the police because we said we did not appreciate being set up and blackmailed.
Pros: responsive host, secure and good location.
Cons:
Very dusty on the ledges around the wall and furniture.
The staff was late to open the door, we received an apology from the host, but also he blamed that we arrived earlier than schedule even when we were exactly on time.
Small bathroom.
Not much natural light as it’s on the ground floor and the window is painted over.
Lack of professionalism that the host was argumentative and belligerent.
The cleaner took our used towels, but didn’t replace fresh ones.

Loved our stay here. Great location that felt safe and quiet of a night. Room that we were in was very smart and cleaned every day. Our host, Giorgio, was a hero. Very helpful, always available to message and asked him for recommendations for food, things to see, directions. He made our experience 10x better. Highly recommended.

Clean, refined and comfortable structure. The real added value of the structure is the owner, an extremely friendly and helpful person.

Excellent stay. Congrats to the staff.

Unfortunately there is to improve the structure of the walls, it is not at all soundproof.
The doors look like polystyrene.
And the property is all in all a basement.
I woke up at 6 in the morning with rumors and drills, very bad stay.
Cheap more or less but because it is a catapecchia.

That was the right selection for us. Acomodation is really close to Vatican which is great for visitors! The room was crystal clean and comfy as far as I am concerned… Giorgio also recommended us delicious local restaurants and gave us a bunch of useful advice about transportation. Thanks Indeed!
