I'll start with the good things – the hotel is in an excellent location, and the staff is kind and attentive.
Unfortunately, that’s where it ends. And when you pay almost $400 per night, you really don’t expect to experience the following:
* The AC was constantly set to OFF, and it was impossible to switch it to ON.
* The room has a narrow shelf that is supposed to function as a desk. There is only one armchair, and it’s so low that anyone who wants to sit by this “desk” and work on their laptop would need to be as tall as LeBron James.
* The windows could barely be opened, maybe to a 20-degree angle. Not that it mattered much, because they face directly onto a residential building about 20 feet away, meaning the curtains had to stay closed at all times.
* There is no water pressure in the shower. We had to shower under a thin trickle.
* The shower is barely 25 inches wide. A child could shower in it. So could Simone Biles. But a normal-sized adult is forced to shower at an angle, with the faucets and shower hose either to their left or right.
* The outer handles of the shower doors have sharp inner edges instead of rounded ones, as is standard. Since the shower is so narrow, I got hurt twice.
* The towel rack on the bathroom door isn’t secured properly and kept falling off again and again.
* The towels were thin and worn out, looking as though they’d been bought at a Salvation Army clearance sale.
