Casa Modelli

Our family of four stayed in the "Apartment Deluxe" at Casa Modelli during Christmas and it was mostly wonderful.
The Pros:
*Mariel was a wonderful host. She greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the apartment located on the 4th floor and the roof top terrace on the 5th floor.
*The main bedroom and living area were bright, warm, and spacious.
*Mariel was so sweet to bring us made to order eggs and coffee in our room. The breakfast was great!
*The location is superb — super close to the Trevi fountain but on a quiet, side street. Our Uber from the airport was able to drop us at the front door, which was super since it was a rainy morning.
The Cons:
*The main bathroom's shower (picture not shown on website) is very small, which I know is normal for European showers, but the tiles were broken and loose. Standing in the shower was a little uncomfortable on bare feet. Also, as another reviewer said, the shower drain wasn't draining well and the water backed up within the shower pan.
*The adjoining bedroom is very small. Our two adult children shared the space and it was cramped. There was minimal space for storing their clothes.
*The bathroom serving the adjoining bathroom was cold (no radiator), there was mold/mildew, and smelled badly of sewer gas.
*As I said, the rooftop terrace is located on the 5th floor. This is also the breakfast area and the employees start prepping for breakfast around 7:30am every morning.

Excellent location at the Trevi fountain, but tucked away in a small alley to avoid the noise. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable with everything we needed and more. The service was extremely attentive, Mariel was always available and super kind and accommodating. Breakfast on the roof was a treat as a well. We had lovely time and we will definitely return when traveling to Rome in the future.

Karla and staff were amazing. Everything was a little bit better than we'd hoped for… the service, room quality, quietness (despite being near Trevi Fountain), logistics. Our rooftop breakfasts were fantastic and catered to our family. We were even hosted us for an evening meal which was more than expected. Would recommend Casa Modelli to anyone looking for an incredible experience.

This was an amazing experience in Rome! My family loved it! The apartment we stayed at was very spacious, well air conditined, very clean, comfortable beds and nice showers.
The breakfast at the terrace was more than pleasant.
And the staff is lovely. Mariel and Carla made the stay even more special.
Loved it!

This was a wonderful place to stay in Rome! We stayed with our two children and had plenty of space in the family suite. Clean and convenient (and cool during the summer heat! ), and the rooftop terrace is wonderful for breakfast and sunset! Thank you!

Loved our stay at Casa Modelli! Location is amazing — 1 minute walk to Trevi Fountain but no noise from the street! Mariel was an amazing hostess. She met us outside and escorted us to our rooms which had terra cotta tiling, a mini fridge, and water kettle. Water pressure was excellent. The building has a lift but there are a couple of steps in the lobby and the terrace is only accessible by stairs. And totally worth it — the terrace is beautiful! We had breakfast on the terrace every day — fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs cooked to order, delicious breads, fruit, etc. One note: we could hear the person in the room above us stomping around and dragging furniture which was annoying at midnight. Hopefully you’ll have a more considerate neighbor.

This B&B is a small operation and the team does a great job. The location is very central — just far enough from the Trevi Fountain to be quiet but close to everything.
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. It is unfortunately not ideal for adults traveling together as the second bedroom can only be accessed through the first bedroom so there is not any privacy. Would work well for a family with children. There is a kitchen/dining space with a tables and chairs but no couches/sitting area.
There is an elevator, which was a must for us. The apartment is on the 4th floor, and has direct access to the roof terrace which was lovely. Breakfast is served there every morning and it's a wonderful way to start the day. We also used the terrace in the evenings and there was never anyone else there.

Amazing location! Our host was wonderful and even invited us to a dinner! She even went above and beyond and booked our transportation to the airport!

We loved our stay at the Casa Modelli! The apartment is gorgeous and so serene and quiet, which is surprising because it's right in the middle of the city and close to everything. The bedrooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the apartment even has a large living area. I know I sound like an American saying this, but the air conditioning was great, too. The staff served breakfast every morning on the beautiful roof deck — we looked forward to it every day. There was great coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, and anything you could want. Mariel and the rest of the staff were so helpful. We had an early arrival, and they made everything easy to deal with. Mariel and the owner also graciously invited us to eat dinner on the roof terrace one night. It was magical. You could see the sights of Rome as we were eating homemade cacio e pepe under twinkling lights. I would highly recommend Casa Modelli!

Highly recommend this spot if you're traveling to Rome. Really central location, walkable to everything. Spacious rooms, well decorated, very clean and well maintained, beds comfortable. Staff were amazing, went above and beyond. Terrace is beautiful and has a daily breakfast buffet included.

Our stay was great — central location — spacious and clean accommodations. Great restaurant recommendations from the staff — Breakfast was on roof terrace and good selection of baked goods, jams, spreads, cereals, yogurts, cheeses. The highlight is the daily fresh and delicious fruits and made to order eggs. Thanks Mariel and staff for making our stay so warm and enjoyable.

FANTASTIC STAY! Could not say enough nice things about this experience. Mariel was so accommodating the entire time and just a sweet human. The terrace is lovely with great food, the rooms spacious modern, and clean. The location is perfect right by Trevi but off to the side streets so not too noisy. Tons of shops and restaurants nearby. If there is anywhere to stay in Rome I would look to book at Casa Modelli. We will be back here for sure when we return.

We loved the place. It is perfectly located in the city centre, just few steps from Fontanna di Trevi. The rooms are comfortable, especially two bedrooms apartment for a family. Breakfast is served on the terrace with a nice view over Rome. The stuff is friendly and helpful.

Mariel and her staff are really friendly and it was always good seeing them first thing in the morning at breakfast. The location is great.
The place is quite spacious actually. 2 bathrooms too which was great.
Highly recommended.

Clean and extra spacious rooms. Extraordinary location and few meters to Trevi fountain. Nice terrace for breakfast.
Super friendly and nice staff.

We had the best 6 night stay at Casa Modelli. Absolutely amazing place. I travelled with my partner and sister and couldn't ask for any better place. Beautiful and cosy rooms (better than photos I would say) very nice staff and lovely breakfast. We visited in November when it was quite chilly but absolutaly enjoyed our roof top breakfast … So peaceful and beautiful. The location is just perfect! Minutes away from lots of attractions. We had a chance to meet the owner one night over some nice wine and delicious pasta and had a great time talking to them which was a bonus. We would love to come back.

Wonderful stay at Casa Modelli just steps from the Trevi Fountain. Nice, large, quiet apartment and a lift to take our luggage upstairs. Top it off with breakfast on the terrace and wonderful service from Mariel. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place in central Rome!
