Hotel Accademia

Worst rooms ever stayed in a Hotel.
We had booked 4 rooms and all of them were unacceptable.
Very dirty, small and dark. Rudest staff ever. After several complaints concerning the rooms, they offered an upgrade for 40€ extra charge per room, per night. (room rate 280€ /night)
The hotel was under renovation and we were never informed about that before travelling. Zero sound proof, housekeeping woke us up due to noise at 07:30. We could hear other hotel guests talking in the rooms next door.
Internet was not working.
Hair dryer was not working.

Comfortable, quiet slightly old fashioned hotel lt is less than one minute from Fontana di Trevi. In fact the Fountain is only less than 50 steps from the front of the hotel.
The staff are helpful and speak and understand English well.
They assisted me with directions to the Pantheon and Colosseum.

The staff is pleasant and helpful. The beds are comfortable and clean: room service is good. The breakfast buffet is varied and plentiful. The greatest asset — it is an easy 3 minute walk from the Trevi fountain, a few souvenir shops; a variety of restaurants and gelato shops. In a 2 night stay, we enjoyed the Trevi at least 4 times — so were able to have a relaxed view, perfect pictures, and varied perspectives.

The property was clean, and the free breakfast buffet was great, with a variety of foods, coffees, & juices. The hotel was in a great location, very close to the Trevi Fountain & shops. HOWEVER, we had a lot of trouble with our rooms both times we stayed (on the 1st leg of our trip, and at the end, prior to going bk. To the U. S. ). Though the room was very large with 2 windows, we'd asked for accommodations for 3 people in 1 room, but instead were given a double bed. When we asked for another room, the front desk was not accommodating & appeared bothered. On our return to the hotel at the end of our trip, we were given a very small room (about 12 x 12) with 3 single beds lined up against the wall in a row. At the foot of the beds was desk & closet. We had to walk in single file & walk between the ends of the beds & the desk to get to the bathroom. My friend sat on his bed and the entire bed collapsed to the floor. When staff removed the mattress, we saw that the bed was held together with rope tied to the 2 sections of the frame. We then saw the bed had been a loveseat that they tried to convert to a bed. We walked throughout our hall & saw that our room was actually part of a larger room they had split in half to allow for more guests (and more $$) — which is why ours was so tiny.

One of the best locations in rome to all attractions. Great hotel the room we got was amazing! Very clean and nice, the staff were amazing also and very friendly.
We got upgraded without extra charge. Breakfast was great. Highly recommended.

My family stayed here during our recent trip to Rome. The location is amazing! Being so close to the Trevi fountain was fantastic. Centrally located to all the major attractions/destinations you want to see. It made getting around very easy. This was our second time in Rome. We understand there is a lot of smoke in Rome. However, this location was very smokey. I felt more than normal. Couldn't have been the restaurants nearby, maybe?
The rooms were decent, a little on the small side (which is fine), but the walls are very, very thin, and the neighboring doors are extremely loud. We were woken up every single night by doors slamming.
The breakfast buffet provided in the morning was fantastic and a great way to start the day. Everything was very fresh!
There were 2 gentlemen on staff in the morning time that were very pleasant and helpful. They always showed respect and were never annoyed with guest asking them questions.

A very nice hotel. Excellent location, cleaning every day. Very exiting.
