Review of Albergo Athena 3*

We just stayed last week for 5 days. + if you leave the key at the reception cleaning is done daily + very close to market, metro and bus stations and also there are lots of places to have a drink + clean sheets and pillows — misinforming website THE PICTURES OF THE ROOMS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE TRUE MAYNE FOR 2 ROOMS. I really think they should be checked by the authorities — it is a very big difference from what you think you buy and what you actually buy. — the Wi-Fi doesn't work — even if active the connection is better on roaming data — the elevator is broken — they said that it was broken for 5 months, but I saw reviews from 2017 and they mentioned as well the broken elevator, which leads me to… — the staff lie to you with no shame; I know they received good reviews, but I would have appreciated more if they told the truth and not play dumb (although I think this is normal for italians in general, according to other experiences we had with services in general) — no breakfast included — you have to buy it — no air conditioning in the room as presented on the website — the single rooms are actually some kind of biger closets — the pictures from the website are actually from a super double room. There is a queen bed, a bathroom but very small — if you are claustrofobic you might have panic attacks. Also, the washing basin is in the room, not in the bathroom. Very, very disapointing-it's barely suitable for a child, let alone for an adult. — very small TV (but this is the last of the things I would like to be changed). Don't get me wrong — I knew we bought a modest accomodation, and nobody expected 4 seasons hotel, but we just wanted to stay in rooms that we were presented on the website and to have acces to what they presented as benefits on the same web page. I really think that this hotel is a disappointment for every tourist. It ruined our overall excitement about being in Rome.
