When you arrive you have to find the correct building and go up 5 flights of stairs (not ideal if you have suitcases and they do not advise you of this). They will take a photo of your passport without explaining why. You will be given three keys which look identical; one is for the building, one is for the hotel door and one is for your room. It’s very time consuming to find which key is the correct one. There is no aircon or fans in the rooms (very hot in summer! ) and they will ask you to pay cash for city tax when you arrive — this had previously not been advised. The toilet has cracks and tape on it which does not feel sanitary. Reception told us there is room cleaning at 10am and we asked for our room to be not disturbed to which they said okay — we left the room at 11:30am and when we came back in the afternoon they had been in our room. I won’t be recommending Dreams Roma to anyone.
