I booked a room for 10 days via Expedia in this B&B back in March for our trip to Rome in October 2015. I received a call from Expedia last week. This B&B has refused to honour my booking. The reason I was given was the property has closed down. Our flights were already paid. No turning back. Therefore I had to find another hotel for our trip. We only have 3 weeks before our departure date and all the rates of the hotels in Rome have tripled since March. Most of the good affordable hotels have been taken. I had to fight with Expedia to obtain a decent replacement hotel. I had to pay more to choose my own hotel due to the difference in rate. After further investigation on Jolie. It turns out this hotel decided to cancel my booking to sell the room to someone else at a higher rate. This was a horrible experience because of this hotel chose not to honour my booking. Sudden cancellation and no refund
Our booking for a stay at mid-September 2015 was cancelled one week prior to departure by the owner due to health reasons. Unfortunately, we wait since then are still on the promised refund. Nobody responds to emails and telephone no is accessible also.
