The hotel refused to give me a receipt for my hotel transfer from the airport. They lied and said they gave me a receipt for the transfer at the hotel, which is untrue This is actually against the law. They also refused to give me a copy of the invoice via email. After calling them a total of FIVE times, and every time someone telling me to send an email about this situation, that they will write back and send me the invoices, I haven't received ONE response from them via email. I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

Loved our visit especially loved Julio, Kenneth, and Francesca… our waiters, bar tenders and sassy waitress. They were friendly and cute… spot on with recommendations. Hotel in a beautiful place opposite a gorgeous church. Room was beautiful restuarant roof top was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view from the roof top. There are two different blocks of rooms and I ended up staying in the newer block of rooms. It was very nicely furnished and clean. The area we stayed in had a garden plaza. The rooms we stayed in were spacious. The stairs were a little challenging for my husband who walks with a cane but the hotel was very secure.

We went to Rome to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday, and this was a fabulous place to be.
It’s marvellous rooftop terrace with amazing views of the cathedral and terrific food and cocktails just perfect for the occasion!
Also the location is great quite close to the Coliseum and many more place to visit, but on a quiet road!
We are happy to recommend it.

Rooms are nice. Staff are lovely. Breakfast is terrible but the coffee is OK.

Excellent hotel. Very clean, attentive staff especially at the restaurant — both Catherine and Christina were always smiling and very quick to attend to our requests. The view at top of the hotel is very good to watch the sunset and a view of the nearby buildings. Coffee is insanely expensive on the patio though — 6 Euros for a cup.

Great hotel. Clean comfortable rooms, not huge but more than big enough as you should really only be sleeping there because the hotel is so close to so many amazing sights like the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Pantheon, and the Spanish Steps. Staff are very friendly and all speak very good English.

(Restaurant-review) 4, 5/5 First of all, everything looks really nice and luxurious, when stepping into the restaurant it feels like you're walking on a 5 cm thick carpet. Then, when sitting down on a great chair/couch you get great service. When ordering there was a great deal for lunch: a first course meal (microwave, but nice lasagna), a drink and a dessert/coffee, all for €10. Opposed to some high prices at places nearby this was great. Overall this was a great place to eat, with great service, great prices. The food was alright. 4, 5/5

Loved the old world charm but the view of the Basilica was the best part. Rooftop bar is spectacular at any time of day but particularly in the evening.

Hotel in the heart of Magic Rome… top cleaning, friendly staff and always helpful, I had dinner at the restaurant in Tezzazza and I had a great time. I would definitely recommend it.

Friendly and excellent and provided breakfast but the rooms are very dated. Heating too too high to be out 17 degrees, big waste.

Staff were friendly on arrival. Hotel seems nice and elegant. Could be described as dated but I think it adds to the character of the hotel. Room is not overly big but has everything you need. Good location to all, was not a far walk to landmarks. Just a 15 minute walk to the colosseum. Breakfast had a good variety to eat. Overall, a nice weekend stay.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… My husband and I stayed here almost 10 years ago on our honeymoon. I don't remember how I chose this hotel, but I'm so glad I did and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel staff is professional and friendly and the rooms are clean and charming. And if you're looking for something with a substantial breakfast, you will be hard-pressed to find it anywhere else in Rome, but here, as large breakfasts are not typical in Italy. The spread was amazing, filling, but healthier than our American breakfasts. The location is closer to the outskirts of the city, but I liked it because it was close to the train station (for easy traveling) and just next to Santa Maria Maggiore. We will never stay anywhere else when we are in Rome.

Rooms are cozy, comfortable, and have very little road noise. The room and bathroom were immaculate, with lots of little conveniences and plenty of towels. Bathroom has a bidet, room has a mini fridge holed away in the desk, and there is a safe in the coat closet. The staff is very accommodating — it's clear that they want you to have a nice stay. Breakfast was light and delicious. The hotel is located close to some wonderful restaurants/bars and is within walking distance of several key tourist attractions (Colosseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, etc. ). I loved this hotel — I would definitely stay again.

Very happy with this hotel. The rooftop was worth the price alone :-). Of course you can get better hotels, but for the price this hotel is very good.

Clean old rooms, good services. The rooms are small but reasonable, the minibar is full with all sorts of stuff, but you have to pay for everything. You have to pay city tax of 6 euros per person per night. The happy hour is good for someone who likes to drink, 3p-6p for 5 euros. Approx. 20 minutes walk to Major attractions.

The hotel is a refurbished 19th century townhouse which retains a lot of the old style. It is spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and very helpful, and breakfast is a pleasure (especially given the views from the rooftop dining area). The bathrooms are beginning to show their age and do need some maintenance (water tends to "escape" from the bath during showers because the glass shower panel, at least in our room, wasn't completely sealed). The hotel is also just a 5 minute walk from the Termini bus, train and metro station, and only about 15 minutes walk from the Colosseum. Overall a very pleasant place to stay, and convenient for seeing almost everything in Rome on foot (if you don't mind walking — and since there are treasures hidden around just about every corner (literally! ), it's well worth taking the time to walk between the major attractions.

Comfortable beds and nice air conditioning. We stayed in the more expensive rooms so we are not sure about how the other ones were but it wasn't a fancy place to stay to be honest. It did work just fine and was comfortable and cozy. The hotel is very close to a lot, just a walking distance from the colosseum.

We had a room overlooked Santa Maria Maggiore and we arrive at a time that managed Pope Francis came to bless the church and people. It was very beautiful watching the blessing from our room and seeing Pope Francis. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the rooftop restaurant and sky deck bar are very nice. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly… recommend the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff, fantastic food, dream roof garden; 5 stars deserved. View of the location the parking is quite problematic.

Rooms are a little bit old fashioned, but it certainly doesn't take away any of the comfort. We had a regular room, plenty of space for us, even managed a couple of hours of Uno with our adult children in our room.
It was spotless too.
The breakfast was excellent, lots and lots of choice, hot chocolate was divine. Only one thing that was a bit poor was the fruit was tinned and in syrup, would have been much nicer if it was fresh, but there were apples, oranges etc also.
Receptionist were efficient.
The lobby bar was closed on the night that we wanted to go to it which was a bit disappointing.
Literally a few minutes walk from the station.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Papal terrace restaurant on the top floor: spectacular view, very friendly and attentive. All very good though I expected more choices on the menu.

I adore C is really good.

Wifi super bad, missed the video, very proud at the front desk. Location is convenient, it's easy, very close to the train station. But Bank denies China UnionPay. Health good, breakfast good, very rich and delicious omelette, ham tasty, but coffee is not good to drink, fruit is not fresh. Dinner is expensive, per capita more than 150. And taste the pasta cooked. Don't let takeout.

But there is the Big time rushes.

Staff is really bad and unhelpful. Room was dirty. Internet kicks you off after 10 minutes. I think because of the location, they let everything else slide. Not too great.

Average hotel. If you need an Internet please stay away from this joint. Very bad connection impossible to do work. Its got 1☆ just because bed was okay. Avoid at all coast pretensmcious not helpful staff. Cant wait getting out of here… I wonder what people who wrote previous reviews were paid… this is just a question…

The stay is very pleasant, clean and easy location. The Wi-Fi signal is strong, but the speed is virtually useless. Ended up buying a phone Sim card for data access. Tethering tablet for added device access.

Very nice hotel, 5 minute walk from the main station, you can actually see the station from the road once you walk a few doors down from the hotel. Stunning views from the rooftop bar / restaurant, and a great area with enough to do a few mins walk from the hotel. The Colosseum is 10 minutes walk away through the park, and taxis are cheap. Four stars rather than five as the room was quite small, and I had to make room for my laptop, wasn't really enough space to work. And as with any large hotel they have free Wi-Fi but its too slow to use. Skype quality was unusable, and even YouTube was too slow to watch. Would still happily stay here again though, food was great, staff were helpful, and I've no real complaints. Oh, and I nearly forgot. I'm coeliac, which is a pain in Italy as I can't eat bread, pasta or pizza! I mentioned to the staff in the restaurant and they were superb, had great knowledge of the menu, brought a warmed gluten free roll out for the starter, and even more impressive — I'd poured some balsalmic vinegar on my plate, it can have tiny amounts of gluten in, but I know I can eat it. A different waiter walked past, noticed the balsalmic and came straight over to say 'no sir', and explained that it will contain gluten. Extremely impressed with that service, I've never seen a restaurant with staff having that level of knowledge or attention to detail, or working so well together as a whole team.

Nice hotel, great location.

We spent few days here that were ones of the best days we had in Rome. Location is perfect almost near every thing. The roof restaurant has the best pasta ever. The view is attractive. If we had to make it again in Rome, this definitely would be our choice. The nearby "UPIM" shop there was our savior in many cases :).

By far and away the best hotel in Rome. Stayed there in Nov 2012 and again in March 2014 fantastic views from the roof overlooking the bascilica. 5 mins walk to Termini train station 20 mins to colloseum. Fantastic staff and buffet breakfast would highly recommend.

Stayed at this hotel in the summer of 2012. Everyone really enjoyed it. From the breakfast on the roof are particularly good.

Rooms are decent and look nice. We had one problem while staying on our honeymoon. They will remove anything you put in your fridge while you are gone and leave a nasty-gram about management strictly forbidding introducing anything to the fridge. We were expecting to enjoy a nice bottle of wine to find it removed. There are no ice machines and the front desk was not willing to do anything to help us. Based on their actions, uncaring attitude, and unwillingness to help, I would not recommend.
