The rooms are good. Breakfasts are scarce. The location is good, there are restaurants, supermarket, stops. You can walk to the Colosseum in half an hour.

Terrible place, no service. I don't recommend anyone. The stench is terrible. The room was located in the basement, did not settle. The bastards didn't even get the money back.

Great hotel staff really friendly with a good knowledge of the city given a map on arrival and they marked all the places of interest easy to use and to get about. Metro only 5 minutes walk would definitely come back again to same place comfortable rooms good location. Train station 10 minutes walk.

A nice hotel in a good location. The breakfast could be improved as well as the courtesy service could be more complete, at least on polite request.

It's obviously not the Hilton, and that's good. The beds are ok, the breakfast is ok, and the balcony is great place to end the day. Feels like an authentic European hotel, and the location has good access to public transportation. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and the location is very close to the metro and tram.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was OK and clean. Unfortunately very noisy and if you are larger than 1, 80 m The bed is a bit too short and narrow. The breakfast was very meager! For everyone a croissant and bun only with jam and honey.

Very nice and friendly staff! Very helpful when looking for places to eat and directions to local attractions. Room was small but clean and comfortable, however the shower was very small and may be a bit of a problem if you are over 6 foot tall!

Just returned from Italy with a group of friends. We chose this hotel based on reviews we read. I can honestly say this hotel is ranked below the Best Western & Howard Johnson. The staff are extremely courteous but that's where it stops. The rooms are small and badly needs updating — at least room 405. The bed is hard and lighting is bad. The carpet is dingy and there is an old green satin covering on the bed. The door almost hit the bed when you enter. The bathroom is small, so if you're size 12 and above you will not be able to move around. When you sit on the toilet, your legs are under the face basin. You lose lighting in the shower because you have to step up into a "little room" with dingy doors. The water temperature & pressure is great. The continental breakfast is coffee with croissant and a roll. There is a juice machine, but the juice is sweet as heck and the glasses aren't clean. The most you can do in this hotel is sleep and go out (not before leaving your keys at the reception). There is no communal space to sit with friends. The only seating is the front desk as shown in pictures which is literally 3 steps from the front door. We had to hang out in each others rooms. In addition, the one elevator was constantly out of service and needed repair. Oh, the TV… ha ha… lucky for me, I found one English channel which shows old movies. I think it was Spike. My friends TVs did not work. Wifi was strong in my room so I used an App.

The current Google picture shows a room with a balcony view. I just stayed in that exact room. The inside is nice semi-confusing stairs. Beds are stiff and the pillows are… well, they are pillows but, I’m very happy to be back home on my bed and my pillow.

Nice small hotel. Breakfast is not breakfast at all. Just hard bread, jam and juice. Staff is awesome and very informative with great knowledge of the area and restaurants. Overall my stay was good here.

Wonderful service. Very attractive, quaint, clean hotel. Close to all transportation and easy to get to all the sites of Rome. As others have mentioned, the walls are a bit thin. We had no problem with breakfast which consisted of pastries, rolls, and cereal.

The location is great because in 12 minute you`ll be at Colosseum by foot; indeed, the neighborhood is not the best, being very close to Termini. The breakfast is a joke, but the same is in the big majority hotels in Italy (coffee, croissant, bread, butter), is it Italian Style. The rooms are good, clean, nothing to say. Let`s be realistic, the hotel is a great value for the money you pay for it, so don`t be grumpy!

Bad location, no signal for Wi-Fi in rooms and a croissant and bread roll for breakfast. Absolutely horrible experience.

Quaint property, but nice overall. Seeing as it was my first time in Rome, I could have stayed under a bridge and found it nice.

The price was right, and the staff was friendly. Those are the main positives. Also, it's not a short walk to the Coliseum and St. Peter's and the like, but it's not terrible, either. I think both are within ~2 miles, and the walk is relatively flat (and seemed relatively safe). On the flip side, our room was very, very small (to sit on the toilet, you had to put your legs under the sink, where they hit the plumbing). You couldn't walk around the bed without running into your roommate. There was no balcony, and only one window. The lack of windows was bad because the climate control didn't work correctly, such that there was no moving air for our first three nights (the thermostat was set to 20C, but the room was much hotter, and there was no air moving/blowing). On the fourth night, inexplicably — — and it happened to be cold outside — — the air started to blow out of the vent, but it was cold air (which we didn't want). You can't set the thermostat from your room, either; you have to ask the front desk person to do it. Interestingly, our kids were in the next room over, and it was HUGE by comparison. All three (ages 17-23) were in the room, and it was still spacious. Their bathroom was roomy. They had two windows, and a full door out to an actual balcony. The climate control was still faulty, but at least they could get air into the room. The walls are very thin. We had a neighbor who woke us up just by talking (at 12:30am).

A friendly family that holds this hotel but good a refreshing is necessary… breakfast more than minimalist and a little too far from everything.

Great friendly staff. The twin room we stayed in had a nice little balcony. But, the breakfast menu had very few options. Just tea, coffee, jam/butter and croissants. Overall a nice hotel with close proximity to lots of restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Donatello. Yes, the rooms are a little dated, but that just added to the ambiance. The beds were not the best, but the staff were amazing. Couldn't believe we could get this much for so little. Highly recommended.

Room and service has been great. Staff is knowledgeable and the rooms are reasonably well updated. A bit of a walk from the nearest metro station, but close to a bus stop. A congee place to stay. Be aware of the city tax that we were asked to pay for in cash upon arrival.

Small 3 star hotel in central area! Not from high demands but practical and certainly more to reach than other hotels more famous structured but also expensive.

Two nights spent at this hotel, very good reception, single room on courtyard (so without noise). Breakfast OK "Small care" staff.

Conveniently located Hotel, close to the station and exit of the A24 motorway. Metro stops nearby. The newly renovated property is welcoming and the front desk staff proved to be very professional. Recommended as a support base for visiting the city or for business stays.

The stay was great, I stayed in a single room just remodeled. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel central and convenient for travel even by public transport. Taxi stations at two steps.

Excellent reception and availability. I was in Rome with my boyfriend and I stayed in a totally renovated room, Wi-Fi free. The location of the hotel is excellent for travel. Professional and helpful staff. Beautiful experience.

Very good hotel, central location, convenient to get to any place. Staff friendly and helpful, they indulged our every request, they make you feel really at home! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The beds are hard as rock. The walls are so thin you can hear the plumbing and talking all bight Not in a good area. You have to turnin your room key when you leave. Not allowed to change the temperature in the room. Breakfast is justcoffee and rolls of bread. Not close to any sights. But theplace is very cute and homey andthe people working are very nice.

Relatively close to the center, you can walk, or being close to termini is close to metro, tram, and bus. In the hotel are attentive and polite, clean but the breakfast don't look for that in Spain. The Wi-Fi usually leave for free even though I put that is 5€.

A good compromise between quality, price, location. Suggested.

Firstly it has a great location, just 3 blocks from the metro station, very convenient. Close to pretty much everything, you are just €15 away on a taxi from everywhere. Clean rooms, extremely friendly staff, even though is a little dated you can't complain.

Good things by improving Wi-Fi there are q pay and poor quality very bad breakfast and must provide on the day of water hot for infusion is.

Our first stop is Rome, stay for up to a week. Good location of the hotel is a tram line and luomatemini near the railway station. Giuseppe with fluent English and a wonderful smile to greet us. Our room was very spacious, is in a corner in the front of the hotel, we also have a small French balcony overlooking the street. Rooms at the hotel include a nice breakfast, and free Wi-Fi Internet access. Will be coming again!

If you have a room to the street, it is extremely loud, but it is the very Central location, which is great. Breakfast if a marmalade and honey 1 Semmmel and 1 Croissant range is in order. We have us in the nearby supermarket sausage/ham and cheese and brought to Breakfast with him. The room has a Mini fridge for storage. The shower is very small and cramped. TV only in Italian. Staff very friendly and helpful. Local tax comes at a cost, currently 4€ p. P and night, and who Wi-Fi want to pay even 5€

Hotel located in a good area with bus and tram. Rooms small but clean. The bad things: breakfast a little poor, little choice, paying Wi-Fi and the AC works from 12, 00 to 05, 00 in the morning in view of the summer is not comfortable.

My experience at the hotel was very good, the staff was very attentive at all times and helped us in everything we ask. The last day we had to catch a bus very early to go to the airport and they took care of everything in less than 4 minutes we were in the taxi at the door. Clean rooms and good location, I was able to reach without problems to the colosseum, termini station or any other place of Rome. The metro was a 7-minute walk from the hotel and not very far, we were able to eat very well. If I have to put some but, the Wi-Fi was paid and the breakfast you do not stay hungry, but you're also fed up with eating. Otherwise highly recommended to spend a few days in Rome.

Awesome place to stay. Historical quaint building and friendly staff. Easy to get anywhere, walking or metro.

Staff were helpful and friendly, even with difficult problems. Rooms were small but workable. We had the suite with a patio, which was lovely. The bathroom was big and modern, and the furniture was a little banged up but nice. We even had a mini fridge. Hotel is within walking distance of the metro, the colosseum, and the roman forum. There's also a grocery store nearby and some nice restaurants.

The room smelled like a septic tank every time we entered it. Very small, there was just enough room to walk around the bed. Not in the safest area. Hotel staff was helpful but not enough to make up for the flaws.

Great hotel, staff were excellent, helped with any questions we asked, and spoke very good English. Short walk to a fair few restaurants and the metro station. Room was clean with a safe, a modern bathroom and a balcony. Breakfast was pretty basic was good enough with coffee and croissants. Definitely recommend it and would stay again.

Quaint little hotel, definitely not a big chain experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, it was not too far to walk to the metro, and it seemed to be in a pretty safe area. We walked all over the area in the evenings and never felt unsafe. The hotel was clean and had a great walk-in closet! Our room had two windows, on each side of the room, looking down onto little courtyards, so apparently the hotel is one rooms width wide! Cute place!

Really 3 stars despite Lipno marble, etc. Zavtrak Krasny with jam and rooms 6 squares.
