Great location. Great room. Just shower a little small.

Front staff are rather rude and uninviting. The room we stayed in is beyond tiny and the bathroom is fit for someone who is 5'2. Slow Wi-Fi, outdated television and smelly linens. 5€ breakfast is the only good thing about this place.

Love their staff. Very professional. Superb location, few steps from Via Nazionale, bus stops and 2 train stations, Termini and Republicca.

Old styled luxury looking hotel. I've spent 6 nights here and am overall happy with the service received. The hotel staff helped us with our bags upon checkin and helped us cherry pick some attractions in Rome. Additionally the hotel bar has helped us with a bottle opener which was great! Location wise the hotel is located relatively good if you are ok with 10-20minute walks. You're about a 50min walk from the Vatican but that is the further stretch to make on foot. The beds are a tad on the harder side but that is personal preference. The lights in the room are all reminiscent of being at the doctor's due to the white tones, luckily two of the lights are a tad warmer on the eye.

It's a good hotel! It is quite budget, clean, friendly staff. It corresponds to the 4th class.

Breakfast is good and plentiful.
In contrast to the rest of the hotel, however, the breakfast room is rather canteen in custody.
Staff are very friendly and courteous. The décor in general, however, is very cheesy. Almost cult again.

Calling this a 4 star hotel might be aiming a bit high. Facilities, cleanliness and rooms are fine. Power outlets in the rooms are ancient Italian, so your European plug won't fit and you can't charge anything in your room. No adapters available at the reception either.

This hotel is value for money in Rome, nevertheless the room cleaning service need a lot of improvement and standards set much higher. Very cheap breakfast served on top of overnight price.

If there was air conditioning, it did not work. The room faced the busy street so it was too noisy to sleep with the window open at night. Bed was hard and the pillows were flat. Convenient location.

The hotel is close to the train station which made getting around Rome easy. The room itself was directly out of the mid-sixties with no air conditioning, older electrical outlets and no natural light. Staff were pleasant and spoke English. Be prepared to hear a ton of traffic noise if you need to open the windows.

The staff is attentive and pleasant. The room was adequate and the breakfast was kept simple. The ambiance of the hotel was warm and pleasant.

This place is about my speed. Side street, so quiet. Right near transit, there is a bus that takes you to a lot of rome's destinations, as well as a major metro stop right there. As a four star, my room was very recently renovated so great. For the price, I paid about 100 euro for the night, couldn't beat it. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, my only complaint.

Love this place, nice rooms, staff wonderful, Paola at reception is fabulous, though she woke me up in the morning because she landed her helicopter on the roof I would recommend this hotel, Its in walking distance of the sites.

I would give more stars, if in addition to soap and shampoo, they gave toothpaste-cream-conditioner//Same it lacks to remodel and update a little their decorations, however, for those who like the classic old style is perfect.

Very friendly staff! Great location if u wanna stay within walking distance to a lot of things. Spanish Stairs 1, 7km, Colosseo 1, 5km, Vatican City 2, 2km, termini Station 450m. 50m to top of Via Nazionale. Room was to warm, 26c degrees C. While in Rome, just reduce a star in every thing. For example; it a hotel is **** it really is a ***hotel. A restaurant that is a *** is really a ** and so on. Bare in mind that I’m comparing this to Sweden, Us, Germany, Canada etc.

We were surprised by the hotel. Well located, between the opera and the Republic Square, reformed. Our room was spacious with a new bathroom. Very kind. The breakfast was very good.

In some rooms there is a lot of noise. The breakfast buffet is very little varied.

I paid a tear of Averna €6… I asked him for a bitter sip after lunch and they gave me less than a small coffee of Averna. After three hours, when I went to get another coffee, I was asked €6 for the bitter of before. They didn't make me a receipt. I objected to the insane expense for the ridiculously large amount and the fact that they did not have the prices exposed besides not being informed about the cost before the purchase. They said that in the restaurant menu there is written. Professionalism equal to zero.

Nice hotel near Rome Termini Station, about 10mins walk. Near train, metro and bus stops, and most attractions. And a convienent shop opposite the hotel. If you are light sleeper, request for room not facing street, as it can be quite noisy, but we are fine. Breakfast is very delicious. The hotel staff Mr. Hassan is helpful, and recommended some late dinner joints that serve good food, and not too expensive. Thanks Hassan.

Handsome, charming. Breakfast not bad. Very comfortable location: in few minutes from the Termini station towards the centre, attached to the Via Nazionale.

Excellent hotel and well located. The staff are wonderful and no request is too much trouble. Their recommendations for dinner were spot on. The hotel room was unbelievable spacious, clean and well decorated. The communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. The best hotel o have stayed at in Rome and in my top 10 ever.

The breakfast buffet for €3 is unbeatable in value for money. Too bad none of the staff knows anything about Spanish. The bathtub is suitable only for people in Forna. The rest very well.

Perfectly situated for getting around Rome. Just tucked off the main road and not far from the train station. Genuinely friendly staff and very helpful. Very comfortable and spacious double room with a/c and tv. Breakfast was included and there's a good selection. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely come here again and I'd recommend it to others.

Nice clean rooms and reasonable price. Shower way too small and leaked so had to put towels on the floor but other than that really happy.

Excellent room, good price. High quality modern furnishings, good location, friendly staff. In our room it was possible to open the glass shower door far enough to hit the edge of some tile on the wall, it is easy to imagine the shower door shattering this way so maybe the room is not good for children.

Room paid 50 euros, I can not complain. The tree is very central and convenient for the Metro. Nice room and old style, a readjusted would not hurt but the need is not missing.

I arrived after midnight in the hotel, the receptionist was very kind and helpful. Hotel is located in the city centre, just a five-minute walk you can reach the destination station. Room a little small, it is still very good.

The hotel is well located for viewing all the sights in Rome and the train station The room was clean and well presented, there were only 2 issues, the first being the double room I booked, this was in fact two single beds pushed together with two sets of single bedding. The second issue was the keyless entry system which worked intermittently requiring several trips from the fourth floor down to reception to have the concierge let us in. Eventually they gave me the proper door key complete with a half kilo metal fob to carry around. Breakfast was continental and very limited, if you have the smallest of appetites I'd suggest finding one of the many cafes located close by that offer breakfast. One final thing that wasn't made clear was the fact that even though I had paid in full prior to arrival there was still "tourist tax" to pay on departure.

Just returned from a wonderful brake in Rome, the staff at the Hotel Mondial are amazing the hotel room was spotless and the breakfast good. Would return without hesitation. Thank you all for the lovely welcome and warm hospitality.

The hotel is located in a nice area to less than 150 metres from the Repubblica metro stop. They accommodated me in a nice, quiet double bedroom on the 5th floor (avoid if at all possible rooms facing onto via Torino quite busy) the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. If I must make a note I find the breakfast area does not have the same "class" of the rest of the hotel but the breakfast is very varied and of good quality) I was fine and when I visit again in Rome will definitely return.

I stayed a few nights, loved the location and the very recently refurbished rooms; staff was friendly and able to point me to good restaurants and lounges. Wifi was easy to connect and very fast.

My wife and I stayed in the Best Western Mondial, Rome, for four nights in November, 2008. The hotel is in a good location, close to the train station as well as to a second subway station. The staff was always helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and had all the usual features. It offered good value for the money and I would rate it excellent, except for a serious flaw. The serious flaw is the inability of the hotel to deliver the Wi-Fi service that it advertised. Two other guests mentioned to me that they were unable to connect to the internet with their laptop in the hotel lobby. Smooth access to Wi-Fi should be a pre-requisite for any 4-star rated hotel.
