In April, we pre-paid for the suite con vista (>$600) for our upcoming trip in September. A few days ago (two weeks prior to our trip at the time) we received a cancellation notice. We had to scramble to find a new hotel which was about double the price. We're good and luckily now have a place to stay, but our travel partners didn't get cancelled so now we're being forced to stay across town from each other. Since receiving the email cancellation I have emailed 4 times, sent 2 facebook messages, and called at least 20 times. No response. I honestly just want our money back but they are blatantly ignoring my requests. I'm sure it's a nice hotel, but I would strongly advise not chancing it with this place. I want to be clear that I understand why they had to cancel (see email attached) I'm not upset about that portion, but what I can't tolerate is how unresponsive they have been to my requests for a refund.
