We had such a wonderful, relaxing few days here. While it is true that it’s quite the uphill walk, if you call ahead they will direct you to a parking lot and bring your bags from your car to your room for you. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They helped direct us to interesting locations both in town and a quick drive away. We had two dinners in the hotel restaurant and the chef was amazing! He had great suggestions for the meals and served delicious wine to pair with your food. We will most likely return for another relaxing retreat!

We had an amazing honeymoon stay here! Loved the little town, even if it was hard to communicate at times (since we spoke very little Italian). Most people (especially at restaurants/bars) were very friendly though, and we got by just fine! The staff at the Palazzo were absolutely amazing and we couldn't have had a better experience at the resort. Our room was amazing! We were expecting it to be much smaller based on the reviews and description but it was very spacious and perfect for just the 2 of us! The hot tub wasn't hot enough IMO, but they weren't allowed to turn the temperature up — it was nice that you got to sign out the hot tub so it was much more private though! Several other areas of interest close enough nearby, and the resort even sets up "field trips" that I would recommend! Parking was not very complicated once we talked to the resort and figured out where we were going, but would have been hard to find on our own. We hope we can go back really soon!

Honestly the property deserves it and the staff is great. The 4 stars are for them…
I read some reviews before writing my conviction, that what I had not liked had already noticed someone else… And it was so… In fact I read that several people have complained about the fact that the sites like Google as Tripadvisor as Booking… But especially on the site of the Resort have entered a number for direct payment probably in England where it is certainly located their headquarters, where, however, a call of 1 minute with a disc that speaks in English costs 5 euros and will not solve the Your problem, have not responded even to the reservation by email, answering with an email informing them that they have technical difficulties to answer the mail and call that number that at first glance seems free because it is a 800 (similar to a toll) but Front has the + 44 instead of a numbering that will be deployed in the UK (UK). The strange thing is that the structure is quietly provided with a phone number as to my checkout I have left a business card with the number of the structure… What do you say? Do we try to change this so that the traveler does not find unexpected expenses or exorbitant costs without their knowledge?

Very nice historical building although, for this reason, it has some cultural flaws. There is no elevator and no parking. You park down for a fee or you search for free parking. Then it has a steep salitina of 50 Mt for which to carry and drag the luggage. The rooms are spacious and large and well kept. By Gentlemen. They are studio style more than hotel rooms. In the middle. Altogether nice place.

The beautiful rooms and the possibility to make an hour of whirlpool and sauna, for a fee, make it a place of opportunity for a night of passage, as I did. Affordable prices for the hot room they gave me, no conditioner.

Except for the steep climb to actually reach the reaort, Palazzo was by far one of the most relaxing resorts I've been to. The spa is incredible, the restaurant wonderful and the area is breathtaking.

The hotel is immaculately clean. Beds are very comfortable. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms come with a full kitchen and decently sized refrigerator. There is a small prodice vendor within about a two minute walk from the hotel. And about a 10 minute walk to the supermarket.

Beautiful old building, with room (studio) large, nice and clean! Panoramic garden to scream. You don't get in the car, but parking is not too far. Excellent choice I would say!

I love this place and been here 5 times. Its so beautiful and the rooms romantic. I love Soriano nel Cimino a genuin small town.

I found a tuft of hair in the bed. The rooms are on the second floor without a lift. Breakfast not included is at too high a price. Parking far away from the hotel but with Bell Boy service. Great location to visit the place without having to pick up the car.

Quaint and loaded with history. Brilliant helpful welcome. Warm enough. Comfortable bed. Poor TV channel mix, but hey, you don't come here to watch TV.

Relaxing, friendly, clean and sometimes even refined. The restaurant is really great, with numerous meat and fish dishes, appetizers and excellent firsts, with quality products.

A truly five-star Rustorante.

Typical place of the Viterbo. Palazzo del 1700 completely restored with beautiful rooms. Suite furnished in style with mural frescoes and wooden ceiling entirely made of worked cubes.

Wonderful resort, helpful staff. Fantastic town square is just a couple of blocks away.

Quaint little town. Rooms are spacious. Seemed a little difficult too use the amenities. Hot tub and work out rooms were always locked. Which made it feel unwelcoming. Staff is very helpful.

Fancy hotel at a very reasonable rate. Only downsize is the parking situation. You must park down the hill. Soriano is beautiful.

Lovely places with a refined and cozy touch of class. Staff. Perfect for relaxation.

Please stay away from Soriano Nel Cimino. I want to keep it all to myself. The unspoiled simplicity of this village is way off the tourist path, and the historic charm of the restored merchant's palace known as Palazzo Catalani has a very friendly and helpful staff who will make you feel like you've awakened in a dream of another time and place.

Rustic atmosphere in a midieval town. The resort is up a steep path made of cobblestone. The room is small compared to American resorts but sufficient. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We will return in the future.

Hard to find but such a jewel. Regret not staying longer. Be prepared to walk up and down steep hills. Great restaurant but so many others close by. Parking available but a 10 minute walk.

Excellent cuisine between modern and traditional with revisiting classic dishes in a hotel with frescoed rooms of history and a spa available to guests.

The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because our apartment has no balcony and it is quite dark and slightly cramped, but then given the architecture of the area, that is understandable — you are surrounded by very historical, beautiful old buildings. The staff are lovely. You cannot park near, and it is a trek up a hill to the resort, but then a porter collects your luggage for you.

Lovely setting, access is difficult but part of the experience, great fruit and veg store nearby at very low prices, restaurant has a charming Latin atmosphere and staff very good. Room's are fitting with character of the town, the layout fits with that character. Will use the gym and spa later, looks excellent.

What a brilliant place! Practically unique "resort" in a former Italian mansion. Staff also the best I have encountered with Diamond. Also, only 40mins from Rome on the train from nearby Orte. So glad we came.

Charming, authentic hilltop Palazzo, with outstanding staff and a superb restaurant, thanks to the amazing chef Roberto. The chef serves traditional dishes, but always with a bit of a twist on the familiar. Superior views of the town and the Castle. Very comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff, who are both friendly and professional. We stayed a week, and enjoyed the restaurant 4 different times. We will certainly return.

If you're researching where to stay in Italy/Soriano and the 5 star reviews seem too good to be true, that's how we felt as well! But the reviews aren't kidding. Palazzo Catalani is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing vacation in Italy, especially if you're looking to avoid the traffic of the larger cities (both in terms of cars and tourists). The attached picture of the view was taken from our bedroom window! If you choose to stay in Catalani, I'm pretty sure all the views look like this, which is fantastic. We booked a studio, which was considerably more spacious than we expected, and very comfortable. The kitchen had a microwave, fridge, 2 burner stove, sink, plenty of cabinets, coffee maker, and toaster. If you'd like to cook while you're there, it's definitely possible. The staff is another definite plus. Every member of the staff there spoke English — they know their customers, as most people who book there are American or British, from what I gathered. They are very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. When we arrived at 10pm, we happened across one of them on the way up to the hotel, and he showed us the way to the door. They'll print tickets for you and deliver breakfast or groceries if you need. While my fiance and I weren't concerned too much about English-speaking support, if you're nervous about how to get help, tips, or directions, the staff is there for you. There is a lovely garden out back and another one by the sister hotel across the street.

Amazing from start to finish. It was our second honeymoon. So romantic x.

Here on our honeymoon and the staff are brilliant the spa was a nice touch too. Soriano Nel Cimino is such a beautiful little town but quite out the way so hire a car.

Great place, very relaxing and an ideal base to visit a lot of historic and amazing places in beautiful Italy. Thanks to all the helpful staff and the fantastic and interesting cooking course with Roberto.

Great time very nice people.

A week here is half the points of two nights at a Diamond Disney resort and much more relaxing. It's an hour more or less from all the important Italian tourist destinations making it a great home base, but allow time to just relax in Soriano and let Chef Roberto show you his passion for cooking a meal like no other.

This was such a lovely place to stay for the week. The staff was so kind and helpful, the location was great, and the small kitchenettes in the rooms were perfect for small breakfasts and lunches. Along with that, the facility was incredible.
