I have known this family and this hotel since 1998. Through the years I have brought my family and students to stay here. I have recommended this Hotel to many many friends! I can not say enough about the warm hospitality and quality experience I have every time I I am able to stay at Al Piave! This family owned hotel offers a beautiful breakfast with hearty choices and even homemade brioche! The rooms (and I have stayed in many) are clean cozy, and quaint. Everyone who works here is happy to help you enjoy the city of Venice. The Hotel is situated in a way one can be close to the tourist areas but far enough away to be in the quiet and magical not tourist hubs.

Beautiful rooms — admittedly compact, but well-designed and well-maintained. The air conditioning was effective and not too loud. Every interaction with the staff was helpful and friendly. Walking directions, restaurant suggestions and changes to my booking, they always surpassed my expectations. Breakfast lacked choice of meat, but the fruit salad was excellent.

Very nice hotel, with an excellent geographical location: 5 min from St. Mark's Square and 8 min from Rialto.

The morning breakfast is simple, but more than enough to eat balanced with the amount if needed.

The classic style rooms are beautiful and clean.

The staff were very friendly and available to provide us with information. They speak French in particular.

A very good two night stay.
A very good reception, a clean room and very nice, very quiet as overlooking the rooftops.
The hotel is however in a lively, very pleasant street, 5min walk from St. Mark's Square (provided you do not get lost haha) and 3min from a vaporetto stop.
The price is pretty decent, Venice being a relatively expensive base city.
I highly recommend!
Just small downside: curtains a little more obscuring would have been useful, to be less disturbed by the light in the morning… But otherwise it's a no-fault!

This is a great hotel. The family is very nice and accommodating. The location is superb. It is very close to everything, but a little bit removed from the fray. The room was clean, large and very comfortable. We have stayed here twice and would not hesitate to book again. The receptionist, Claudio, is particularly helpful, but really they all are.

Excellent place for families too. Large rooms also for four and cozy environment. Not a great breakfast but very good quality. I emphasize the great kindness and friendliness. Only note that I have to do is that the temperature does not adjust individually in the rooms and it was very hot.

Nice cosy place in the middle of Venice's maze of narrow alleys. Very affordable for Venice standards, highly recommend it. In fact close to San Marco in Ruga di Giuffa with good restaurants next to it.

Loved the breakfast. Fresh eggs every morning! Not the powdered kind, you actually see the guy making batches of scrambled eggs and bringing them out to the buffet area. The mini sausages were addicting. Fresh fruit was great, dipped them in the strawberry yogurt. Pastries were warm. Selection of meats and cheeses. Homemade cappuccino, though this is typical for Italy. We were put in a first floor room that I think is the wheelchair accessible room, but it was nicely updated and the bathroom was large. Great location! We loved the osteria across the street. Also a laundromat, gelateria, and other shops in the same block. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is well located within easy walking distance of the San Marco square and the Rialto bridge. We were in a family suite which gave us two bedrooms, perfect for families. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel itself was very quiet at night so we slept very well. The rooms have air conditioning which works well, but makes a bit of noise. However, even in the August heat we found we didn't need ours overnight.

Our room was recebtly refurbished, very nice, light and airy. Toilet was new as well, good shower and Very clean. Polite and helpful staff, good breakfast. Location wise, it was a 10-15 minutes walk from most places! Not bad at all, I do recommend.

Loved this hotel! A bit off the beaten trail which is an added benefit. The room was spacious. The staff is accommodating. Both of the restaurants they suggested were spectacular. The cost of the room includes a breakfast buffet which includes hot food as well as fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries sliced meals & cheeses.

Staff is very nice and the rooms are cozy! There is a laundromat nearby which is convenient, and it is a short walk to Saint Mark's square.

Staff was friendly and polite. Felt very welcome. The room was small but that was not an issue as we spent most of our time exploring the city. Good location, shops are just few seconds strolling distance. Breakfast was included in the room price. Small varieties but good enough to please you stomach while you are looking for more fancy food. In Italy, you can order as many expresso as you like in the hotel breakfast buffet, not filter coffee. One thing, we could hear people talking in the morning loudly though, at about 8am. We didn't intend to sleep in so that was fine for us, but if you prefer to go slowly and sleep in then maybe this is not for you.

Hotel is worth staying. We enjoyed the breakfast and the cleanliness of the rooms and the facility. We considered ourselves lucky having to find this hotel. The room that we had was a beauty… a touch of old and new. Large bathroom, very modern. Strong Wi-Fi too. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning at the outside courtyard.

Excellent hotel, great location well off the tourist trails, but just 5 mins from Pz San Marco and 10 from Rialto, really enjoyed our 3 nights here. And most helpful staff! Will come again.

Booked through bookings. Clean hotel. Spacious room. Breakfast on two shifts. Easy to reach on foot from san Zaccaria. Restaurants, Bars and shops nearby. I would say perfect x a weekend in laguna.
