A must stay! My friend and I we were greeted by our host, Marco, who was very accommodating and gave us recommendations and directions around the area.
The location was ideal for us. It's nestled on the top floor of the apartment building and within walking distance to main attractions and great food options.
The kitchen was there for us to use, supplied with beverages. The kitchen view is breathtaking and we had our own private terrace. There are only two rooms, and would be perfect for a family. Our bedroom was very chic and spacious, with lots of space to store our luggages. As well, our bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Our hosts, Marco and Alessandra, were very responsive. We arrived late due to our train delay, which Marco had reassured us that he will wait for us until we arrive without additional fees.
We look forward to returning back!
We had a lovely couple of nights in Modena in this extremely well located teeny weeny b&b. It is very cute and stylishly done making the most use of the tiny space. On closer inspection things aren't in the best condition despite how charming. You are in the attic with little windows and there is no way to blackout the room. The somewhat open plan toilet is not for everyone but we knew what we had booked. The bed was a bit rickety. It was cold and we just couldn't get warm in there (lucky perhaps as air conditioning remote was missing). The wall to the other room was paper thin and you could hear everything. Some great things too, nice toiletries, lovely shower, great parking (for a supplement), wonderful views from the tiny windows… And 3 minute walk to Osteria Francescana. We had a nice time, but only saw someone at check-in, breakfast was down the road in a cafe (we didn't bother), we had asked for some recommendations for a drink before dinner via email and were told we would get them when we got there but that didn't happen. We felt very much left alone.

My husband and I stayed at Quartopiano for one night last month and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the whole experience. We booked last minute and were accommodated so graciously by Alessandra and her husband, who met us late in order to check us in. He also walked us to a nearby restaurant right before close to ensure that we had a dinner — it wound up being one of the best meals we had all week! The B&B is adorable, incredibly well-designed and maintained, and it's in a wonderful location in central Modena. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for having us!
