I have just checked in today and Albergo delle Drapperie has by far exceeded my expectations. The location is superb, in a nest of cobblestone lanes in the gorgeous Via Drapperie, amongst a hive of florists, chocolate, fresh pasta and fabulously displayed food market stalls. Piazza Maggiore, the Asinelli tower and shopping areas are within minutes away by foot.
Importantly, the staff were very welcoming and attentive, offering to help with recommendations for food and entertainment in the area.
The windows overlooking the street below are lovingly dressed, and the rooms although reasonably modest in size make up for it in their cleanliness, vibrant character and atmosphere. Also, the windows block out noise from the street so sleep is possible. Highly recommend!

Great, charming & cozy hotel located in the heart of Bologna old town close to whatever your heart desires. The surrounding is just awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was super cute and clean, good beds, enough space — also for clothes and suitcases. Peaceful and quiet — even there’s a busy environment outside the doorstep — witch by the way was a big bonus. Breakfast with different choices of food was enjoyable.

Alberto delle Drapperie is highly recommended, and will be visited again next time in Bologna.

Absolutely centrally located, in the middle of the bustling old town. The accessibility by car is because of the traffic-calmed old town is not very easy and should be coordinated with the Hotel. The nearest public car Park about 10 minutes walk.

Lovely old b&b in the perfect location to enjoy Italy's food capital. Stone throw from best food street and main square.

Only note that is really positive, the location. Close to the centre. For the rest, unfortunately, I have not found it good. Rooms small and not at all soundproof. Bathroom small and uncomfortable. Also the cleanliness is definitely not the strong point. Very poor breakfast, almost as good as being at home. The last sore point, there is a bathroom for guests who may have left the room but only one bathroom of service of the staff (to which I had access). Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Recommended hotel with nice rooms, clean and in reasonable condition. Very stylish and excellent just a few steps away from Piazza Maggiore in the centre, so that you have extremely short distances to all the sights and culinary highlights of Bologna.

Clean, well-conditioned and soundproofed rooms. The staff was very helpful
Only negative notes:
— The bridge, on the entrance staircase, deserves an energetic washing;
— The charge of €10 for the loss of the badge (which if bought poorly, does not cost more than 50 cents…)

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, for the rest we lay down a pitiful veil. The rooms are crumbling, the bathroom is nothing short of embarrassing. It does not deserve 3 stars but above all it does not deserve the price…

CREDIT CARD FRAUD — DO NOT STAY HERE! I never use my credit card but used it to pay for my stay at this hotel. A few weeks later I got a call from my bank saying my card had been cloned and a whole load of charges made.

Perfectly located in the middle of the action unlike most of the major hotels.

Wonderful stay, staff were super friendly and did the best they could.

We had a wonderful few days here, lovely staff, always a warm welcome from reception. Cleanliness excellent with regularly replaced sheets and towels, we shall certainly return. The staff on reception were most helpful and as a non coffee drinker I have been converted to cappuccino by the young lady who attends to the breakfasts. Our room was romantic and practical with plenty of cupboard space to keep us neat and tidy! Good sized bathroom and lovely views of the fruit and veg stalls below us. A great stay and we shall certainly return. Thank you.

The location is strategic to get around the centre of Bologna. Clean bathroom and linens, comfy mattress.
Cleanliness is to be improved. The abundant dust on the baseboards leaves a negative judgement even if overall the room is clean. The rooms that give on the street can get a little noisy early in the morning when they open the market stalls.

Wonderful place to stay, excellent location — convenient to public transport and near everything we wanted to do in Bologna. The rooms are simple but spacious, we were very happy with our stay.

Very conveniently located to avoid the city, in a feature. The property is beautiful, the rooms elegantly furnished, large enough. Breakfast is buffet.

A very nice small hotel in the old market centre with friendly staff. The breakfast is meagre however. The main problem is that I was give room 204 which has an old faulty air-conditioning system that the man onreception admitted was difficult to repair. I immediately had a headache and runny nose that developed into a very bad cold and cough. This room should not be available until the system has been thoroughly cleaned. You should ask to see proof of the air conditioning maintenance system!

This was our first stop in Italy. It was a beautiful drapperie with lovely furnishings. Very clean and well kept and in a very safe part of town. The location was perfect — right down town and within walking distance to anything. About a 10-15 minute trip by bus from the train station. Really loved this little hotel — will stay here again when we come back.
