Il Capri Hotel

This hotel is not for the infinity pool crowd, for this one you need to have taste and a sense of style. It gives you a glimpse of the old Capri before trash tourism. If you ever wanted to live inside a Wes Anderson film you’re in for a treat. The best thing: no TV in the room. Instead you get to look out of the window to enjoy some of the most stunning views of the whole Mediterranean.

We had a fantastic stay at Il Capri Hotel in early June. We were only able to stay one night, we wish it was more. The hotel is in a great location-close to everything-and is very charming. We had one of our best meals in all of Italy on the rooftop at the Deviant restaurant, so delicious!

The restaurant, Deviant was amazing! Javier and the staff were wonderful and the food was some of the best I’ve had while on the amalfi coast. The clam pasta and prosciutto melon were incredible!

This is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and furnished with great style. Cannot recommend more.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We stayed for 2 nights and the staff were so so attentive, room was lovely and clean, we got homemade pastries every day, the hotel is stunning and the breakfast was so good! I’ve loved it. Thanks to fellice and Denise as well as all the other staff for the attentiveness and kindness.

As part of a trip through Italy we booked a 2 night stay here but had to make late amendments as our infant daughter became ill and joined us on our trip. All accommodations bar Il Capri helped us either amend or cancel our bookings – many booked under the same terms. Il Capri hid behind their policies advising they would not check us in if we arrived and refused to cancel our booking. They took our money and ran leaving us having to source emergency accommodation with a sick infant. They became threatening when challenged.
I would not recommend based on how they treated me and my family and would advise them to learn from their peers.

Surprised to read the negative reviews here — really have to say, a wonderful location, a great staff and fantastic room. It's a very different approach for Capri — decidedly on the "cooler" and "concept" side of things, but that's a very welcomed addition to the island. The location is incredibly convenient and from arrival to each meal, the staff has been incredible — attentive, friendly and helpful.
Very much recommend if you're looking for something akin to The Standard or The Edition hotels (design-centric, more contemporary approach, etc. ). If you'd like a classic "grande dame hotel" — this it not it, but they're absolutely not marketing themselves at that either.
Very much recommend — a wonderful choice and would happily come back!

Best place we stayed on our trip. Rooftop pool had incredible views and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Great service top down.

Very beautiful hotel with the most gorgeous views of Capri. We loved the rooftop pool and bar areas. Location is excellent just a short walk to Capri town, where you will find all the shops, restaurants and transportation.
Unfortunately one staff member made my mother and I feel very unwelcome, we were chased up the stairs of our hotel and accused by a staff member (women with light brown hair) that we were not guests of the hotel. She made us prove we were staying there. Never in my life have a paid this much for a hotel and been treated this way. Also did not appreciate that the room was filled with hotel merchandise that cost extra, there was no where to place my things as the merchandise took up half the room. I was afraid to move anything as I did not want to get charged extra.

Advertised as 5 Star Delivered 2 Star. No TV, refrig, minibar, coffee in room. Stained carpets and lumpy mattress. Mgmt was uncooperative in refunding our prepaid money and we still left with 2 nights remains on our reservation. Very limited breakfast option when advertising breakfast included. Decor was tacky too. Having said this the views are excellent.

Very unsatisfactory. Room did not haveTV, Refrigerator, coffee stand, mini-bar. Carpet was visibly stained in multiple places, decor was something from either a French red light district and junk yard. Staff made you feel as though you would be charged for everything a la cart. Breakfast was limited. We left after 2 nights of a pre paid 4 night stay. Needless to say the hotel would not give a penny back. Horrible experience.

Absolutely mediocre service. They claim it’s a 5 star hotel, however it felt as if it was a 3 star hotel. They make you at for every single little thing. They charge you 15 euro to bring up room service on top of the charge of the food or drink. 15 euro delivery fee for room service. Absoleutly unique and strange. No amenities what do ever, not even a body lotion or a mini size anything, but they have a mini bar in the bathroom full of products for sale and purchase. They forget to clean parts of the room properly and when you tell them to do it they speak extremely rudely to you like they are doing you a favor. The absoleutly mini closet that is half full for products for sale is ridicuslous. Not even a room slipper they provide, and especially when the floor hurts your foot if walked bear foot. They rave about the breakfast but it’s completely mediocre. Shockingly rude staff that lie completely about everything you try and argue. Worst experience of my life for a 600+ euro a night in Capri.

To say we loved this hotel would be an understatement. From the second we arrived we were blown away by the property as well as the staff. This hotel was absolutely gorgeous, and the views were unbeatable. The staff was incredible and took such amazing care of us. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and apertivo on the rooftop was perfect. We can’t recommend this hotel enough! We will be back.

Had one of the most wonderful stays at Il Capri Hotel. Welcoming staff, unique location, elegant rooms, stunning views.

We stayed at this Hotel for 2 days in September. Our friend made the reservation via another travel platform. After paying 600 plus euros per night, we were under the impression that we would have stayed at a 5 stars hotel (for TripAdvisor4 stars).
But, to our surprise, the tiny room (upgraded! ) that they gave us, had:
— N​O safe, — N​O fridge, — N​O TV! Unbelievable? The same applied to our friend's room.
The bird cage closet for our clothes, was half full of advertising clothing for sale.
The bath had N​O amenities at all — not even Q-tips, but it was stocked again with creams-soaps, snacks (ok! ) etc, for sale!
They even sponsored a sex toy! (photos of all above available on request).
And if you did not have your own slippers, Yes!, they were selling their own for 160 euros.
Apparently, we rented a small boutique not a Hotel room.
Even a 3 stars small Hotel offers you some basic amenities. I strongly wonder how the Italian authorities issue the stars.
The staff were extremely polite and friendly and were trying to please us under these circumstances.
Two hours after my strong complains, they called to tell me they "found" a safe! and asked if I wanted it.
And three hours later they also "found" a fridge and asked me again if I wanted it.
I declined to both. I used my suitcase as a safe and drunk warm water. And of course, NOT a word about NOT having a TV in the room.
Crazy? Unbelievable? … Yes!
Avoid it! It is a cheat!

Stay at Il Capri hotel. Enjoy. Definitely repeat.
Dreamy. Beautiful and newly renovated historic hotel. The best views in Capri. Fantastic and friendly staff. Thoughtfully designed in detail. Wonderful breakfast with picture perfect views. The comfiest bed ever. The cutest wardrobe. Amazing rooftop bar and deck with plunge pool. Super central, two steps away from piazzeta, buses and taxis.
We stayed for 4 nights in August and what a wonderful stay we had!
Thank you to all the staff who always had a smile and were happy to help us book beach clubs (which is near to impossible in August! ) and with general recommendations. We stayed in a fabulous seafront room and what a stunning view from the veranda!
Top points for all interior design which is very well thought out, respectful of Capri’s golden age and aesthetic updated with a modern cool vibe and amenities.
Rooms and WC very comfortable.
Also, top points for hygiene and friendly cleaning staff.
Definitely to be repeated!

Absolutely incredible. The service, the food, even the breakfast was extraordinary. The restaurant on the roof was intimate but exquisite and not expensive compared to the rest of the island. The decor was unique and the front desk helped us with all our plans!
