Congratulations everything perfect from the hospitality to the welcome fresh rooms and perfect restaurant and perfect staff all good and beautiful as is the city of Sorrento.

Tranquility availability and friendly staff.

Great x staying maximum cleanliness. Staf courteous beautiful context x spend a few days relaxing.

I made a telephone reservation, I was insured half board with a total of 306 euros.
At the time of payment they ask me 413 euros because there was no half-pension.
I don't want to do this because nobody likes the ass.

A beautiful hotel with a very nice and hospitable kitchen of the highest level the wonderful pool: bathe with the scenery of Vesuvius in front. The price for everything offered is certainly advantageous and very competitive. In just two words: FROM RETURN! Luigi Andreozzi and his family.

Fantastic staff, very friendly and attentive, love the 20 minute walk of death to town.

Nice little hotel a 15 minute walk up a gentle hill from centre of Sorrento. Suited our need throughout our (couple) stay.

Kind and available all members of the staff but this nn is enough. Old and uncomfortable room. Old and dirty bathroom. Room without soundproofing. Inconvenient bed and really dated furniture. Price nn in line with the offer.

Stayed here from 8th to 18th July and had a lovely stay. We stayed in a superior double on the second floor so had great views of Vesuvius from our balcony. The room was lovely with plenty of sockets for charging etc. The rooms were kept very clean and towels and sheets were changed every couple of days. The road at the front of the hotel is very busy but once we closed the windows at night there was no noise at all. The public areas were newly decorated and well kept. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very attentive. The pool area is very nice but if you want to use the beach, and ask at reception and you can get a pass for a private beach which is nearer than Sorrento. The only down side is the lack of pavement from the hotel for about 200 yards.

Negative points: the property that needs to be renovated (our room and restaurant are dated), the bar room is new. We were in an economy room without a fridge, with windows with no shutters or mosquito nets (one night a bat came into the room and I was about to run away without paying) ; the air conditioning does not work well so either one dies of heat or finds himself in the company of animals; the furniture is quite old, even with regard to the lighting of the room. As soon as you enter the room, you also smell a closed and moldy smell, so it would be appropriate to scent the rooms. The safe is for a fee. The price of a night is all too high when proportioned to the quality of the room. In addition, the hotel is far from the centre, although nearby there is a bus stop for the centre.
Positive points: Free Wi-Fi; the staff, very kind and welcoming, as well as friendly; breakfast: plentiful, international and exquisite. The same goes for the rest of the meals: we had lunch and dinner and the food is great: congratulations to the chef! Another good thing: the outdoor pool, although without a lifeguard and the hot tub is not active.

A really nice hotel to stay in. No issues with it what so ever hence the rating. Lovely staff. Lovely food. Good breakfast. Everyone is very welcoming and happy to help. Big shout out to the waiters who are a good laugh. Rooms are big with plenty of storage space, nice clean tiled floors which are cool in your feet. Big balcony too. Would recommend and stay again.

Lovely quaint hotel. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Especially the restaurant guys. The food is good. Prices very reasonable at lunchtime No problem getting a sunbed by the pool. The walk into Sorrento is fine.

Should I review waiters and quality food I would give 5 stars. The waiters are of a unique kindness and skill. From personal experience I have to congratulate all the waiters no one excluded. Kind and helpful. Always with a smile. So professional. The food is great and quality unique price also comparing it to that of the restaurants in Sorrento. The sore notes are the structure, to be renewed. I booked an economy but the level was from B&B from 20 euros per night. It was all missing mosquito fridge (one evening even a pippistrello entered) a working air conditioner. Lights too old. No table and bathroom really old. Good pool though no alcum keeper. Hotel not far from the center. The hotel lives thanks to the staff who work there. They deserve so much.

Food good, frendly helpful staff. Good pool and outdoor area. About 15 min walk into town. Can get free tickets to a lovely beach at a nearby hotel. Rooms are a good size and clean with a good selection of TV channels.

Had a wonderful time here on our 2nd visit. Beautiful rooms lovely and clean, staff friendly and accomidating. The pool is wonderful and never crowds so there s plenty of sun loungers at all times of the day. Food, although not amazing, for half board was great value for money and more than adequate for our needs. The mountain road with its gairpin bend "junction" providing most of the entertainment was worth the return trip just for that!
Beautiful views, a beautiful place and can't wait to stay again.

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. We stayed half board and the food was very good with plenty of choice. The hotel was spotlessly clean with fresh towels everyday (room 103) the pool area is also lovely with plenty of sun beds and waiter service if you need a drink. The staff at reception and in the dining room were super friendly and helpful. We initially had a room that wasn’t suitable for 3 people but minutes after mentioning this we were moved to another room. Sorrento is beautiful and we can recommend a visit to this area with Capri and Pompeii being a must.

Just arrived after a very early flight from the UK. Hotel is on a busy junction but it adds to the ambience-staff are very welcoming and the food-well you just have to taste it! Looking forward to a lovely week…

What a lovely hotel, all the staff have been brilliant and made us feel very welcome. Only 15 minute walk to Sorrento centre. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Spent a week here, hotel was good clean and tidy for the price, staff were really nice, food was good. Took my own teabag's for a brew, but had to go to the bar for boiling water. The walk to Sorrento takes about 20mins all be it abit treacherous, because there's no pavement for about 150m at hotel, your walking down the road. Otherwise it would have been 5's.

Lovely setting and hotel. In great location. Staff excellent especially the waiters at the restaurant only down no tea making facilities an telly but no english programmes.

Great little hotel near the city centre, friendly staff and very good cuisine. Have we felt very comfortable here for the 9 days.

Cheap and cheerful. Not too far out but the walk back in the dark was dangerous!

The Metropole is a 3 star Hotel, so expectations should not be Waldorf Astoria. Staff are friendly and helpful, and speak good English. The room was a decent size traditionally decorated and furnished. There are seating areas on each floor, as well as the patio, bar and solarium. The dinning room is nicely decorated with nice views and an outside terrace. The pool is fairly small, however never a problem getting a swim. On the downside was the 'garden view', and evening meal options. Garden was non existent (except a couple of palm trees and pots). Food was limited to 3 or 4 starters and mains that changed each day and needed ordering at breakfast — no idea what the day would hold so you can't really be sure what you will want. However the food was of a good standard. Worth mentioning the walk into Sorrento. The first 200m — 250m has no footpath and 3 hard bends (you will find lots of comments about this). This is NOT really an issue the hotel is responsible for. Yes the walk can be daunting, however the local traffic is aware of the issue and we had no problems.

Staying here for a week's holiday and the staff can't do enough for you. It is a 3* hotel, but can't fault it. Spotlessly clean.

Very nice, good food, brilliant staff, nice view of the bay and volcano. There is a nice cove bay across the road that very few people know about.

An excellent stay with great food and service. The friendly staff make the trip! Pool us quiet with plenty of sunbeds. Had a fabulous relaxing time in Hotel Metropole!

Old Bill Hotel… a refurb wouldn't hurt. But all in all he carries out his work. The breakfast was delicious. Close enough to the center, even on foot.

Hotel about 1km from Sorrento, Gulf view rooms well manicured spacious and clean improve the food overall great hotel, I recommend.

Old style structure. Comfortable rooms. A 15-minute walk from the center. Recommended for quiet couples.

A bit far from the centre of Sorrento. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices are slightly lower than the local standards.

A Star x pity. Next time better to stay under a bridge! Rundown structure, Economy room as big as a closet x not to mention the smell of mildew. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
