Review of Magri's Hotel 4*

Look elsewhere! Let me start by saying we are not stuck up travelers, we like all experiences & can make the most of any situation, with that being said, avoid this place. The rooms aren't bad, decent amenities & comfort. Modern renovations made it a decent sleep & aesthetically pleasing. But the hotel is not in a good part of town. Naples isn't a bad city but the area is super dirty. Trash everywhere… seriously, everywhere. I walked into town, which is about 20 minutes, and it's all through the industrial part of town. The staff was friendly in regards to smiling & acting pleasant, but they weren't great. We checked in & they gave us a room that was still dirty. Not a big deal, we brushed it off. Second room was right by the workout room & our room had a loud rattle in the vents… ALL DAY & NIGHT. We requested a different room & they said no, and they'd send a maintenance guy up right away. He was in there for maybe 1 minute, didn't look at the vent/noise & just told us it was fine. Kinda weird. The hotel was not at all busy & they easily could have moved us to a new room, but no. My girlfriend had been sick for a couple days & wasn't able to move much from the bed, so I asked the receptionist if she could order us some pizza or anything delivery… once again, just no. Said we couldn't bring in any outside food, which i've never heard of. Upon requesting room service around 6pm they said it wasn't open until 7pm. We walked to a nearby food court that was awesome & salvaged the night. Oh, and while we walked back to our hotel, maybe 500 meters from the food court, we saw 2 hookers on the street corners. With so many better options closer to the city center, pay a little extra & do that. Avoid this place unless you just need a quick place to crash. Service was not helpful & area of town was dirty. Trying to find a silver lining but it's just hard after our experience.
