Could not ask for a better place to stay if you are looking to visit Positano. John and his staff are excellent, attentive and helpful hosts, always willing to assist you with any questions.
The hotel is ideally located with only a short walk to the beach, cafes and shopping and also to bus stop for traveling elsewhere on the Amalfi coast.
We stayed as a family of four in the family room, very comfortable and the views from the balcony needs to be seen to be believed

Highly recommend this Hotel in Positano. Ideally located with exquisite views sweeping across the coast. The rooms are clean, and the beds comfortable in keeping with the opulent style of its history. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful with anything you may need. Typical Italian breakfast on offer to start your day. Would definitely come back and stay at Albergo California and would recommend to friends and family coming to Positano.

Very friendly, clean, professional Hotel. We stayed with my daughter. We had a great time. The room was very clean The restaurant is very good and has a very good staff. The owners are amazing. We will be back soon.

Very kind and professional all the members of the staff in particular Maria. Clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms with large veranda and panoramic postcard view. I also recommend the restaurant for menu's and adequate price.

I already went to many places and many hotels but never encountered a hotel such as amazing as this. Views are amazing, the people off the hotel are genuinely friendly and helpful. Breakfast has everything necessary and is fresh and tasty.
I went with two of my best friends and the combination of them and the hotel made it an unforgettable experience! I will come back with my husband and kids for sure! Thank you.

This is an amazing little Hotel run by the nicest people, they were so friendly and welcoming. The view from our room was second to none. The restaurant Don Giovanni is the best place we ate during our 2 weeks travelling Venice, Bologna, Positano and Rome. The people here are the best you will meet. I just cannot express how impressed we were. Stay here and eat here!

I love everything about this charming hotel! From the wonderful family, who are very helpful with everything you need, to the the amazing views from the absolutely gorgeous terrace and rooms! I highly recommend staying at Albergo California!

Great views of positano. Aim to get rooms on the second or third floor otherwise you'll have a shared terrace. Breakfast is not why you stay here nor for the best bed; you come to Albergo California for the views. Bus stop is walking distance down the street. Cheap eats during the winter we went to delicatessen walking distance from the hotel.

Perfect location to stay in Positano, you are close to the beach and shops. Everyone was super nice. The only negative thing I can say was the breakfast… for the price you are paying for the room you will expect more than was left for the breakfast.

The rooms were simple but clean and spatious. Room ammentities could be better for the price we paid (ie. Tiny TV for room size, no heating) We had a nice small balcony with an amazing ocean view. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Most amazing and hospitable hotel in positano. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone trailing to this part of of the world. The food and the staff here are wonderful and we are so happy to be here again!

Had lunch during our visit in Positano. Staff was nice but the chicken salad was bland and the pasta was barely decent. Nice view and setting!

Beautiful views, friendly staff, and perfect location. Can't beat it. Restaurants below and the bus is about a 5 min walk at most.

Gorgeous views of Positano and the beach, warm hospitable team and close to lovely restaurants! Walk down to the beach for a nice walk or take a bus from the nearby stop to Amalfi and Sorrento!

A no frills family run hotel that is located high enough to be out of the fray but close enough to play. The room was clean and everyone who worked there was exceptionality easy going and friendly. If you are looking for a reasonable room with stunning views this is the place for you.
