B&B Torre Talao

What can I say if I could give it a 10 I would, from the gracious owners whom are attention to detail, to the luxurious linens, quiet, modern with a beautiful view of the tyrannian sea! We arrived with lost luggage from the airport and our wonderful host was quick to give us toothbrushes/ toothpaste/ and slippers. Oh and the breakfast was fantastico!
We highly recommend here in beautiful Scalea!

This was a last-minute stop in our itinerary and therefore I did not have especially high expectations. This B and B was much much nicer than what I expected. The host is a lovely man who is very helpful. The room was spacious, modern, functional, and clean.
The host was very nice and served us an excellent and customized breakfast.
The location is great: 2 minutes from the beach but also 2 minutes from the town where we discovered very nice bars and restaurants.
I highly recommend it!

The owner Vittorio was very accommodating, professional, and friendly. The room was squeaky clean and comfortable, nicely designed, and there was even an extra pair of soft pillows, which are hard to find.
We stayed there twice — on our way to and from Sicily.

We are a Canadian couple who travelled to Puglia and Calabria in September. We were so fortunate to stay at the BandB Torre Talao in the picturesque town of Scalea for five days. Our host, Vittorio runs a superb BandB. Vittorio is very knowledgeable about his home town Scalea and the surrounding area. Most importantly he is a delightful person and we enjoyed lots of chats over breakfast, which was made to order. Bacon and Eggs and the best cappuccino. The recently renovated accommodation is elegantly appointed, spacious and spotless. The balcony gives you a view of the sea and the beach. A perfect spot for a glass of wine.
We enjoyed walking in the old town and climbing up to the church on top of the hill.

Vittorio arranged for us to have a private tour to Maratera and other picturesque towns along the coast. If possible we suggest taking this tour with Gian Paola Presta.
This location was a highlight of our trip and suggest travellers consider Scalea and the BandB Torre Talao.

Vittorio was the ultimate host. The rooms were spotless, views gorgeous and location fantastic. The beach was across the street with numerous restaurants and bars. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed!

Really close to the beach and cost historic city center. Besides this, the host clearly loves his job and is helpful.
Also, the rooms and bathrooms are well maintained and modern.

Vittorio was a great host, and immensely helpful with recommendations. He provided delicious breakfast every morning, along with fresh espresso. You’ll definitely enjoy your stay in Scalea when you stay here!

Our first time visiting this lovely town Scalea, in the south of Italy and thoroughly enjoyed our stay — made possible by our helpful host, Vittorio and staff. On arrival by train, Vittorio came to meet us and took us to the B&B Torre Talao. From there his hospitality and welcome, friendliness exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was very generous and varied between sweet and savory options. The panettone in particular was delicious. In the month of January it was still quite warm and walks to the various points of interest were possible. The Historical Centre, the museum the Torre Talao (Tower) and the beach were a few minutes away. Also a restaurant along the marina promenade served delicious Calabrese and International cuisine The many bars and cafes serving cakes, pastries and paninis/ pizza's were numerous. Definitely I would highly recommend a stay at B&B Torre Talao where the host and staff provide an exemplary service to make our stay memorable.

I have spent a lovely time in this B&B located in a wonderful and strategic position.
The staff was extremely kind and professional, the room was very big and clean, we also had a lovely terrace with a stunning view on the see side.
The breakfast was tasty and with a lot of options offering both salty and sweet food, especially homemade pies.
I strongly recommend.
