Quite cheap hotel you pay for what you have, comfortable and strategic its location here in Rome, hygiene not completely satisfactory!

Cheap hotel… exquisite staff… kind and courteous… but ugly and old rooms… even very dirty… distributors of broken drinks. It saves from lynching only for the outstanding staff and convenient location… right behind Termini station…

The best: the girl at reception who explained in detail where everything was and gave us a map. Otherwise, the room had a plumbing that looked like the Romans had installed from the early era. The electrical installation was old, some plugs didn't work and the fridge didn't work either. The room was not cleaned in the 5 days we were there. The facilities were very old (I had never seen certain things) and did not correspond to the announcement of the establishment on the internet. I'm not coming back.

Basic hotel. They charged a tax of 3 euros per person per night that was not included in the price already paid. Clean room. Good beds and good air conditioning. There is no international TV. The most basic breakfast can not be. It is only good the coffee that is served by a very nice lady and prepares it in the moment. But hey, coffee and a slice of buttered bread. We were not charged for leaving the bags on check-out even though there was a sign indicating 2euros per suitcase. Maybe it was luck. Stay tuned!

My stay at Hotel Altavilla was just wonderful, breakfast is awesome their coffee is very tasty better than Starbucks, the staff it's just amazing they are very friendly and helpful. If you are planning a trip to Rome think twice before you book a highly expensive hotel, at Hotel Altavilla you will get the service that you need at a most accessible price. It is located at only three minutes walking distance from Roma Terminale.

Old and ugly Hotel that survives thanks to the economical tariffs and to the comfort because in the vicinity of Termini Station. Good breakfast at the edge of the international.

Nice rooms, very comfortable and nice. Close to Termini station and the city centre. Very good customer service and a nice room for the breakfast.

Traditional building but very well preserved. Nice staff. Clean rooms. Good Wi-Fi. Very good breakfast. Perfect location just next to Termini Station.

Very bad/unstable internet, mold on the ceiling in the room and in the bathroom also on the walls, soapdispender was also very dirty en full of mold, lots off dust everywhere, Curtains were stained en yellow of dirt, lot off stains on the walls, dirtrunners on the door, Cleaninglady has 10 min to clean the hole room, make the bed etc. Very warm in the room cause the heating was on and couldnt turn off lots of overdue maintenance.
When I complained they told me to wait when there colleague was back the next day. He was laughing it away and wasn't willing to give a discount. The breakfast wasn't a lot but good and the waitress a very lovely woman. The location is good, near Termini station.

We were in the room number 30 breakfast pretty well then the room the first day the water did not work in the shower, the second the bat did not pull the chain and if it pulled because it did not stop and the third the radiator did not function until the next. There is a safe, air conditioning and fan. It must be said that for a star there was only the breakfast and the reception if it holds the 24 hours, but if the bathroom needs many arrangements, but it is bad hotel. But a single star at breakfast. And without further stopping the last day we wanted to charge €1 by boarding pass.

Budget hotel so expect to get that kind of facilities. Good breakfast by Simone Romano. Great place to be near the train station Roma Termini. Walking distance to the station. Good breakfast choices if you arrive early for breakfast! They did run out of croissants but was ordered specific ones that we wanted by Simone. Vito and Francesco are just superb. Vito was more cool to speak to and was able to explain the directions and attractions nearby! Thumbs up for Vito! Francesco did check us in smoothly and as expected in Italy, not everyone speaks English! Large bags are charged €2 per bag (as per the notice). We did leave our bags and it was quite a few and was for no charge (yay). We had triple room and was small compared to other hotels we've stayed. Bathroom was little small. Evening times the heater comes on and it is really warm in the room! Room did have a fan but no speed regulator so had one great speed! But overall great experience and definitely would go and stay again!

This is your typical European room. It is close to the Roma Termini and centrally located. The room is basic, small but clean. Breakfast is included and the staff is friendly and helpful. This is a good place to stay if you are on a budget.

No emergency exits — are permanently closed. Breakfast is poor, for Italian conditions totally bad. From U. No hot water. Conçierge seems awkward — speaks almost only Italian. Cleanliness is mediocre.

Very good location, close to the terminal Termini, excellent service, friendly treatment, except for the shower a little uncomfortable, but outside of that everything excellent.

It's a little neglected. It would take some touch-ups on the walls and beds. But for us the important thing is that it is clean. Tidy and clean room. Good breakfast. Nice and friendly Simonetta.

I didn't like it at all. Too old. The morning we stayed, we were charged the first night before we arrived and when we arrived finally, we were told they did not have datafono to charge. Having to go to the street-cashier to it and thus pay commissions. The site for saying something good is the situation. But it's very cold, and that was the beginning of November…

It is a place attended by a very friendly staff, however it is very old and your bathroom is pretty bad. What we did not like was the hygiene, the watter was dirty when we arrived, we said it to do the favor of cleaning it, as we saw illogical that had chorreones of poop. Well, it kept dirty until we left. I had no gloves to clean it and when we got to our room after all day outside, we urinated as far away as possible. He's too old, and he'd need a little pointing up. We understand that Rome is expensive, but the bleach doesn't cost that much. We could be comfortable with having a water line for bathing, clean sheets, and towels… thank you very much. Just occupying the room we were asked for the full amount of the stay. No wonder, if we hadn't left.

Broken shower head, noisy fan and no soap in the toilet — that's what I experienced!

Non-existent cleaning. Very friendly staff. It's okay to go to sleep only, not suitable for allergic to dust and moisture.

Horrible. Believe in love at first sight? Well, as soon as you enter your room then you're going to love wanting to look for somewhere else to stay. What can I say, the beds are uncomfortable, the bathroom would be perfect for someone who's claustrophobic (believe me), the toilet was haunted because for some reason it would not stop flushing by itself — try sleeping when all you hear is a toilet flushing every 10 minutes. The room even provides a tiny television which for me was broken and the socket was messed up (many sockets were broken or hazardous), I would be surprised if it passed health and safety. The only source of air-conditioning that actually worked was a fan on the ceiling, but even then it was better to fan yourself — a sense of accomplishment is what I got from it if you ask me. The breakfast was very disappointing. All you can eat bread. How lovely. Although the woman with glasses who worked there was lovely so shoutout to her for making my morning (s). Staff was terrible but I guess terrible staff makes for a terrible hotel. The only pro to this hotel is its location. Very close to public transportation and to many landmarks. I almost forgot that the hotel has Wi-Fi but lets not say how long it took me just to write this review with this wonderful connection.

The guy in the front desk was rude, the room was old with dirty floors and walls. The Beds were hard and the sheets old and didn't seem clean. The bathroom was a mess (bad repaired) I do not recomend this hotel! Only if you want to have a baaaad experience, when visiting Rome.

Great location, close to the center and Termini station where there is the Metro/Bus… large room air conditioning digital TV… cleanliness OK… we had a good time… especially we did not spend so much… well also the breakfast room great The lady's cappuccino which Breakfast is served.

The location is optimal to move freely in the city… The hotel is not brand new but simply comfortable and unpretentious. The breakfast is good, Italian and made even better by the kindness and professionalism of Simonetta, the lady who in the morning serves the buffet a wonderful cappuccino and a warm smile.

Negative Point, it miss a can of heating, and the fees of "service" has to pay obligatory in cash…

A star is still too much here… bad room. Planks were loose. The shower. Oh man… that I have not taken away anything is a miracle. The bed is located. Noise at the hotel every day and night. The cracker was then at the departure: first it was said that card payment would not be possible, but that was still advertised. I should bring cash from the vending machine (to my loads of course (fee)! ). I refused. The guy then threatened with police… ridiculous. I put myself in the lobby and said, "OK — let us wait for the police! "… after about 3 minutes then the miraculous turn… Suddenly the EC device went back and I "was allowed" to pay… really naughty!
