Palazzo Rollo

This is a great place to spend a few nights. Location could not be better.
Rooms are beautiful and the roof top terrace was a great surprise. We stayed here with my family and rented 5 rooms. Every room has its own charm but all were excellent.

Great hotel in the heart of Lecce's historic quarter. It's an old palace with a lovely rooftop terrace and a beautiful breakfast room.

Great location within a few minutes walk of Duomo Square, with views of the Duomo from the rooftop ‘garden’ terrace and your room (depending on its position).
Our room (Calla) was spacious and did have a view of the Duomo and the lovely streets of Lecce.
The service was exceptional with Naty and Sara on reception hosting us as if we were family; they were friendly, helpful and informative, and also gave us some exceptional restaurant recommendations.
Sad to leave and would highly recommend.

This place cannot be beaten. It really is a small palace onbthe heart of Lecce. So luxurious. Delicious breakfast and great staff. The bar on the roof was outstanding with views all over Lecce. Fantastic.

We stayed three nights here in two different rooms. It’s ideally located in Lecce centre and very peaceful. Staff helpful and friendly and rooms interesting. A bit like staying in your grandma’s bedroom 😀. Pillows were very comfy. The rooftop garden was fantastic for an evening drink.

You can drive to this location with limited parking but we arrived by taxi out of hours and had a lengthy walk with cases. Reception staff are extremely helpful but close at 19.30. Once you navigate the entrance there is a lift to this ancient palazzo. Our room was huge with very high ceilings — not easy to heat out of season. Comfy bed, nice bathroom. Breakfast in a smallish room was adequate. You may have to share a large table if busy. The furnishings and artwork were impressive. It felt like being in someone's stately home. Location is superb within 5 minutes of the Duomo with easy access to all parts of the city centre.

Beautiful and comfortable bedrooms (great shower) and public hallways etc. Roof terrace also beautiful although we were there out of season. Helpful staff, very quiet, very well placed for the centre and eating out. Totally recommend for all reasons.

Once you visit, the Palazzo Rollo is one of those places that lingers in a pleasant corner of your mind, to recall when you want to remember something special.
We first visited this place in 2019 and were so excited to return and introduce friends to this lovely spot. Owned by the same family over several generations, the hotel is a pleasant mixture of old and new and is perfectly situated as a base for exploring the beautiful town of Lecce.
The rooms are individual in nature, with practical and period pieces delightfully mixed; the bathrooms are individual as well, with tiles and marble finishes. Thoughtful touches include a sweets dish and toiletries. Breakfast is buffet style, with a good assortment of pastries, breads, fruits, eggs, juices and hot beverages.
The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful and are wonderful assisting with restaurant and other requests.
After a day of touring, we found our way up to the roof garden, an amazing space where hundreds of plants and flowers beautifully surround conversation areas and where drinks and snacks can be purchased. An amazing space to unwind and savor a sunset while sipping a spritz.
If you are looking for a unique travel experience, this is the place.

A perfect place to stay in Lecce. We had a beautiful and comfortable room. The roof top garden was a nice place to relax. Entering and exiting the hotel portal through a small green door was a neat experience. Definitely stay here while visiting the area.

The pros: an excellent location in the heart of Lecce. It’s contained in a large, leafy courtyard. The hotel is very interesting and maintains an entire floor of the palazzo in its original form. The rooftop terrace is filled with greenery and provides an excellent view of the basilica. The breakfast was robust and served in a beautiful dining room.
Why three stars? One, the reception of the staff, which was unfriendly and bordered on rude. The woman at the front desk didn’t greet us, just handed us the key, and at high speed, told us how to use it, and then started working on her computer. She did not offer any other information. We later received a map from someone else. Second, the room, called Iris, was dingy and inadequate. It reminded me of my dorm room in the 1970s. The shower was impossibly tiny and there’s a large, limp piece of fabric hanging on the wall which served, I guess, as a headboard.
If you stay, avoid a room facing the street, which although brighter, would be noisy. Also note they are closed for three hours midday, so you need to make special arrangements to leave your luggage if you arrive between 1:00 and 4:00. It is difficult to understand how a hotel or BnB simply shuts down like this.
Lastly, the hotel should provide some written information on the history of the hotel. The building is amazing.

Stayed at Palazzo Rollo for 3 nights in a family apartment. The palazzo Rollo located in Centro Storico amazing location. We did have a car rental and it was a bit challenging navigating our large car, however staff was helpful and helped us get in the parking area safely.

Absolutely Fabulous Hotel! Phenomenal Location. The room was spacious and had a great view of the bell tower and Duomo. The roof top terrace is magnificent. However, the best thing about the hotel was the staff. Everyone was so helpful from the front reception desk to the individual who assisted me with my luggage as well as the wait staff at breakfast. The front desk was extremely pleasant and assisted me tremendously in arranging transportation to various places. They were always available and responded promptly to all my inquiries. I would most definitely return.

If you look up the word palazzo it's definition is 'a grand residence' and Palazzo Rollo fits that description perfectly. Impressive place. The interior courtyard (3 stories) is draped in vines and flowers, creating quite a first look. We walked through 3 beautfilu sitting rooms to get to our room, which had a study and bedroom. Ceilings had to be 20 ft (6m) high. Antiques everywhere. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fine, coffee excellent. You are right in the center of the historic district so everything is close. Great stay. 2 nights in June, not totally overrun with people despite being a weekend. Almost forgot! Rooftop garden is lovely, open for drinks from 6p-8p. Guests only.

Palazzo Rollo in Lecce is a magical place and worth the trek to get there. We flew in from the USA and took the train down to Lecce. I recently stayed there with my family. We were to go but due to Covid-19 we were delayed celebrating a milestone birthday. All of my many emails prior to arriving were answered by the staff and there were many. During our stay Elena, Naty, Leonardo and Simona were all extremely helpful with appropriate suggestions and assisted us. Naty's assistance was so appreciated during our time at Palazzo Rollo. The room was spacious with a lovely modern bathroom and the beautiful glass elevator was appreciated. The staff in the breakfast room were also very kind and accommodating. I loved the fresh figs and fruit in the morning. The incredible views from the terrace were just some I will never forget as well as the Aperitifs and the olives. I highly recommend Palazzo Rollo and Lecce. I really cannot wait to come back with my family!

What about such a place if not … WONDER IN WONDER!
