Historical Suites VVM

Our stay at Historical Suites VVM was absolutely stellar. This is such a special and unique place: a small three-room hotel set inside a beautiful historic building from the 1800s, with original furniture, décor, and so much character. It truly feels like the embodiment of Italian elegance and beauty.
What made the experience even more memorable was Nikos, the owner. He welcomed us so warmly, gave us a tour of the property, shared the history of the building, and was wonderful with communication both before and during our stay. He also gave us excellent recommendations for what to see and do around Lecce.
The breakfast was fantastic as well. Varied, filling, and full of local treats. The location is also perfect… right in the middle of everything, but still quiet and peaceful with no noise issues.
We have never stayed anywhere quite like this before. It was beautiful, personal, elegant, and truly memorable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lecce.

We spent 5 nights in Historical Suites VVM while visiting Lecce ad part of a longer trip through Sicily, Puglia & Basilica.
What a wonderful experience, you could not possibly ask for a better location, right on the corner of the centre of the old town. The room was a charming space (only 3 guest rooms each with ensuite). With a shared dining room in the family’s old law office, with cabinets & law books on display, that gave opportunity to meet & talk with other guests. What made the stay exceptional was the host Nikos, he’s charming & funny & helpful, we shared a lot of good stories.
Lecce is an elegant town, Historical Suites offer elegant accommodation & Nikos is an elegant host. Highly recommended base for exploring Lecce.

It’s such a beautiful historic place of history and comfort throughout. Nikos is a great host and caretaker of this beautiful property in the center Lecce. The morning breakfast is such a nice touch with quality pastries and meats and of course your espresso. The rooms are so beautiful and large and comfortable. Well worth what Nikos charges for his property stay. I highly recommend and can’t wait to see Lecce again and of course Nikos!

The fellow who runs this intimate operation is Nikos. He is a gracious multilingual fellow full of energy and intelligence. He makes certain that guests get to do and see and enjoy what they like. The palazzo is an old-fashioned and delightful family residence with original decor, and it has been their residence over the course of many generations. Nikos recommended superb and inexpensive restaurants to us, and he helped us to understand the charming winding old streets and where they led. The experience of staying at Historical suites vvm Lecce could not have been any more fun. We were sorry to leave. And Nikos is a delight.

We've spent 2 nights in the presidential suite of this historic building and it was amazing. The host Nikos is the best host you can imagine! Located next to Plaza Duomo, you reach all highlights within 5 min walk.

Perfect location in Lecce old town. The host Nikos is a delight and aims to please. Our rooms were amazing with balconies and city life views. Breakfast was adequate with good coffee. Lecce is very special with style and historical sights near the Band B. Places to dine nearby are Histeria and Flow both are happy places serving good food and nice staff out to please. Too many restaurants in Lecce are not offering good service or a good vibe.

This historical property was beautifully appointed with period furniture and lovely fresco ceilings. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with good storage, a modern bathroom and we were able to arrange paid parking on site. The property is well located near the Duomo and historical centre of Lecce. Breakfast in the library was pleasant and an opportunity to meet other guests. Our host. Nikos, was very helpful with all aspects of our stay. We highly recommend this property.

This is one of the best service I have seen so far in my life. Nikos who served us was so excellent in guiding us making us early breakfast doing an early check. He offered us so many amenities on request. Nikos is the one of the most kind human being that I have seen. Helping us with luggage with breakfast with car park. This is 10/10 rating! Lecce city’s best kept secret: the furniture was vintage and so beautiful. The presendential suite that we got had a beautiful balcony in the living room overlooking the most beautiful streets with arches. The whole vibe on the room was vintage and was so beauiful: the vibe was excellent. This is 100 on 100 and don’t look any beyond when staying at Lecce.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Perhaps one of the best places we've stayed on all of our travels, not just in Italy. It's a beautiful old building with painted ceilings and antique furniture. Lots of lovely art and interesting things but it feels very homely. The place is very clean and Nikos makes you feel so welcome. Breakfasts were very nice and Nikos has excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat. It's located right in the centre of the old town, within walking distance from everything you should visit in Lecce.

The apartment was an easy direct 12min walk from the train station located in the Old Town.
We were greeted by Nikos who was super friendly and full of wonderful information. He has turned an original house into 2 apartments which both were lovingly outfitted with antiques (down to the bed frame! ) to reflect its historical nature. The bathroom was modern, shower and water pressure very good. Bed was a super king size and very comfortable.
A delicious traditional breakfast was provided every morning, just had to let Nikos know what time suited you so the pastries were warm and would be ready in the formal lounge area. So much food that we hardly made a dent in it!
A kettle and coffee machine was provided, air-conditioning in bedroom and lounge area, free Netflix too.
Niko was very helpful with any info about where to go to and how to get there.
Lecce in the old town is very busy each night into the early hours so it's best to have some earplugs so you don't hear a thing.
Highly recommend especially if you want to experience staying in a gracious building.

Overall, my experience at VVM Historical Suites was outstanding. The combination of its central location, beautifully preserved antique furnishings, and the warm hospitality of Nikos makes it a true gem in Lecce.
Nikos went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. His knowledge of the local area and personalized recommendations for dining, sightseeing, and hidden gems were invaluable. He was always available to assist with any queries or requests.
Situated right in the city centre, the hotel offers easy access to Lecce's main attractions and lots of very nice bars and restaurants. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. Despite the central location, the double glazed windows meant we didn't hear any of the noise from the street below!

We cannot say enough about our stay here. Nikos was AMAZING, beyond helpful! He truly made our first stop on our vacation the best one. The building is incredible, our room was immaculate and so authentic. We even had someone playing an accordion outside our window on numerous evenings. The location is also perfect! Highly recommend.

Absolutely memorable stay in every possible way: the gorgeously spacious room with history and vintage, its unbeatable location at the literal center of basically everything a short-term visitor of the city would need, and the most hospitable host who would go an extra step to make his guests comfortable and relaxed.

Wow, what a unique place to stay. Rooms filled with authentic antiques. Ceilings painted, wonderful tiling. Like staying in a mini palace.
Within walking distance to trains. Situated in the old town. As soon as you step out of the hotel you are in the centre of everything.
Nikos, the owner, is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble.
Do yourself a favour and book a night or two here. You won’t regret it.

A stunning room in the very heart of Lecce's old city. The place itself looks fabulous with historic furniture to match and Nikos couldn't have been more helpful if he tried. The breakfast brought to the room every morning is just an amazing touch to top it all off. We will be back.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful suite in the centre of Lecce. Nikos was a fantastic host who helped us with our stay not only in Lecce but to plan ahead for our journey through Puglia. The use of the garage was very helpful, and the beautiful breakfast delivered to our room each morning was a treat. We wish we could have stayed for longer and would definitely return.
