This B&B was a pleasant surprise for Foggia where most of the other B&B’s that we’ve tried haven’t been to our satisfaction.
The room and bathroom were very clean, modern and spacious.
The decor was interesting especially the ceiling. The bed was huge and the mattress very comfortable.
I have a few observations to make though. The on site daily parking charge of € 15 is too high. I guess they charge so much because it’s not easy to find parking around the centre of Foggia and if you do park outside, your car is likely to get stolen!
The room we were given opened on to a small area/corridor which had a sliding door separating it from the breakfast/reception area. If the management/ cleaners/ hotel residents didn’t bother to shut it every time they entered or exited (especially during the early hours of the morning) the noise from the breakfast / reception area (conversations, telephones, meetings etc. ) were extremely disturbing when we wanted to sleep in late.
The breakfast could be improved upon as it’s factory made and not fresh. The staff are very friendly but could be a bit more discreet when conversing on the telephone or with each other especially when people are having breakfast. One of them kept stepping out of the main door to smoke but instead of going out and closing the door behind her, she would stand in the doorway and blow the smoke outside. This was very annoying because she kept letting the smoke and the cold air back in and on us!
