Very pleased with everything during our stay.
Rooms were spotless and had everything we needed.
Staff were very friendly and helpful — a special mention to Oleana and her daughter Roisín who went above any expectations to make sure my elderly mother felt at ease and had everything she needed.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Brilliant value for money. Quite room, slept well. Big beds. Meal in bar was a great portion at a fantastic price. Room was on the older side. But had an enjoyable time. Would be back and would recommend. You can't beat the value for money.

I stayed at the Talbot Hotel to celebrate my child’s birthday and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is very clean and modern, with a spacious and comfortable room. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning — the Christmas trees were incredibly stylish and created such a special festive atmosphere.
Before my stay, I contacted the hotel to ask if there were desserts on the restaurant menu that my child would enjoy. When we arrived, I was completely surprised to find a plate of beautiful pastries waiting for us in the room, with a Happy Birthday message and a lovely birthday card from the hotel. Such a thoughtful and kind gesture — my child was truly happy!
We also spent time in the swimming pool and everything was perfect. A huge thank you to the entire team for their care, attention to detail, and for making this birthday celebration so special. I would definitely stay again!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and professional throughout my visit, making everything smooth and welcoming. The room was great—clean, comfortable, and well maintained—and the food exceeded my expectations. A special compliment goes to Andrea at the front desk, a true professional who went above and beyond to ensure an excellent experience. Her attitude and efficiency really made a difference. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel.

The Talbot Midleton is a great hotel in a good location with a bus stop right outside. All of the staff that we met were friendly and professional whatever their job. We had lovely food in the bar and there was a good selection for breakfast.
Our room was warm and comfortable. There is just one thing that I don't like and that is the shower curtain! A nice bath screen would be so much better. As repeat guests We once again totally enjoyed our stay and we'll be back.

We were a family of 24 staying overnight and attending the Christmas party. What a great night from start to finish. From the minute we arrived at check in the staff were so friendly and helpful. This is our 2nd Christmas staying here and we will definitely be back next year. A wonderful hotel with amazing staff. Thank you for making our weekend so memorable. All the rooms were beautiful too.

Fabulous hotel in close proximity to Cork city. Lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, very friendly staff. A special mention to Andrea on reception from booking to check in she was amazing. We stayed in a family suite which was a stunning spacious room with very comfortable beds. Excellent value for money. The leisure centre was excellent, great facilities and my son loved the pool.

I had a fantastic stay at the Talbot Hotel in Midleton. The service from the staff was excellent from start to finish—friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. The room quality was top-notch. Clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location is perfect too, with plenty of great restaurants just a short walk away. Their in house bar and restaurant are also fantastic, offering great food and a relaxing atmosphere. Five stars all around!

The room was spacious, and the shower was quite decent. The service hours for breakfast was no the best. Not really a walking distance to town centre, and the halls smell like cigarettes. The food was quite poor, specially for its price. Breakfast was really overcooked and dry. Staff was friendly, just lack attention and kept forgetting orders at the bar/restaurant. A good 3 stars hotel, by far not a decent 4 stars. Couldn't recommend for its price.

The Talbot is located in such a convenient spot with lots of parking. It has a warm, friendly and professional atmosphere. The room was perfect, spotlessly clean and great value for money. I didn’t get to use the Spa etc, but it looked fabulous. I would love if they had a coffee machine in the rooms as I love my morning coffee plus some teabags. Oh and the food and restaurant staff and bar staff were amazing.

Andrea from reception was the sweetest woman ever! Her and my little girl had such a sweet bond and they became the best of friends in no time. My little girl Éire is still talking about her and says she misses Andrea so much 🩷 also two other stood out for their excellent service but I can't remember their names, a lovely young chap with a thick cork accent and very short brown hair at park 89 bistro and a blonde woman with a forgein accent at breakfast in the mornings in maltings restaurant were both exceptional servers and really made us feel so welcome. It was also my birthday while we were there and my fiance, daughter and Andrea organised so surprise me with a cake at dinner on the night, it was such a lovely gesture. 10/10 we would return, the service, room cleanliness and size and the facilities all exceeded our expectations greatly.

Our stay absolutely exceeded expectations. We got a very reasonable rate and I had set my expectations according to that.
The room was spacious and the beds were so comfortable. Our dinner was fabulous and again, very reasonable. The breakfast was lovely and had everything you could need.
I couldn’t think of one thing they could improve on.

My stay at the Talbot Hotel Midleton was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, especially by Andrea Kadović at reception, whose friendly attitude and efficiency made a wonderful first impression. The bar and restaurant teams were equally outstanding, offering excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay.
Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel Midleton to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a memorable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Talbot Hotel Midleton! From the moment we arrived, the lovely receptionist made us feel so welcome. The bar staff were amazing – friendly, attentive, and full of local charm. The food was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and so relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind.
We can’t wait to come back – highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, the staff were really friendly and so helpful. The food is amazing and reasonably priced too. The room was clean and tidy. I used the gym each day, great wee gym! I would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointing experience. I was given a room which had not been cleaned. Bathroom had not been touched and there was actual pubic hair. Floor was dirty and there was even hair grips on the floor left from whoever previously stayed. Bed was made but was hair on the inside sheet and a stain. I then started to look around the room and this place looked like it had not been cleaned for months. Thick thick dust on door, skirting, telephone wire. I called down to ask for another room as it was not clean but they did not have capacity. They offered to send someone up to clean and agreed to only the bed changed and bathroom cleaned untill the next day as I had been travelling since 4am and it was now around the 10-11pm mark and all I wanted was sleep. I was offered a bottle of wine as an apology which as nice as this was do not feel it matched the issue especially considering I had spent over €300. I am not happy about my room experience, unfortunately due to going to see family I did not want to raise too much of a fuss but my family were embarrassed that they had reccomended this place to stay as they usually have pleasant experiences. Staff were friendly, location good and breakfast was pleasant. Just ashame about the room as it really impacted the trip and do not feel as though I still should have paid full price for this experience. Unfortunately due to this experience I would not reccomend this place.
