An Stór Townhouse

This is a great townhouse. I've stayed here several time this year and can't compliment it enough. Spotless rooms. V comfy beds.
The breakfast is great altogether. Such choices of breads, cereals, cold neats, beautiful salmon and Mackrell to name but a few. Marina and her husband are very welcoming. And the star of the house and probably the real host is their lovely, friendly dog Glen.

This was my first time staying in the Midleton/Cork area and I booked based on the reviews. My family and I were very happy with the accommodations. From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest welcome from Maria and her beautiful dog Glen. Mary went above and beyond to make us feel like family. She even helped us tremendously when our pre booked Freenow cancelled on us right before we needed to catch a train to Dublin. She called several people until she secured our ride. I would definitely stay there again.

Upon entering An Stor guesthouse we were very well received. The place was spotless as was the bedroom also. The guest house was located right in the centre of Midleton which was so convenient for shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was continental with a lot of choices however you could get a full breakfast for an extra charge. Good for a night or two but due to no extra seating outside the room having to stay in the room would not be ideal.

My sister and I stayed here for a couple of days last week along with a friend. Maria was a great host who made us feel at home during our stay. Glen (her well behaved dog) greeted us with the warmest welcome. Our Free now driver, who we booked the night before didn’t show up and Maria made several calls to ensure we got a ride to catch our train to Dublin. She truly went above and beyond. I would definitely stay again.

A late booking, the proprietor Maria was very accommodating and lovely.
We had a double room, top floor. Nice bed and we slept well. Rooms very basic but very clean. A little tlc needed for the rooms such as, filing up the hand soap, which was only just about 2 inches. And a touch up with the paint around the window etc. All.
Little things but just an observation.
Maria coulnt have been more helpful with breakfast, although saying that when booking the room, it said that breakfast was included. It needs to be better explained as if you want a hot breakfast you have to be pay extra, which I don’t think if fair …

This B&B is magnificent! We booked it for convenience since it's so close to the distillery. The location is also extremely convenient for anyone wanting to explore the places on the main street.
It was a wonderful surprise to be dropped off in front of such a charming building and even a better surprise to walk in and see an equally charming interior. We got to meet the owners and their beautiful pup, all three of whom were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
We stayed in the top floor, the room at the end of the hall. It was comfortably brisk in the room and the bedding is incredibly warm and cozy. The water pressure was great which can't be said for most large hotels. My partner and I are already planning our next visit to Midleton and we will be staying at this B&B!

Hands down one of the best breakfasts you can find in Ireland. The shower had the kind of water pressure that could launch a rocket. Slept like a baby—felt just like home.
Staff? Super chill and friendly.
I’ll be back for sure… if I can snag a spot.
Feels like crashing at your cool cousin’s place.

In bed there at the moment. It is so comfortable. Its great to go to a place that are happy to have dogs stay. Maria was so welcoming. I feel very relaxed here. Its town centre with private parking. My dog and I slept soundly. Glenn is Marias dog and he is so gentle. I might stsy a second night. I very highly recommend An Stor.

Maria gave us a warm friendly welcome on arrival. Very informative for places to eat or takeaway. Had a great stay and our dog was made most welcome.
Would really recommend anyone wanting to stay in the area. We will definitely use it again when we are visiting.

The owner is an absolute salt of the earth lady with a border collie who obviously adores her. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is great to have both a fridge and a kettle in the room. There's a homely atmosphere, and the bed is comfy. I don't think there's anything else to ask for.

It’s a very central basic older style place, reflected in price.
There’s a Big car park on the doorstep.
It’s Immaculately clean.
A very warm personal welcome awaits you.
WoW…. I was blown away by the Breakfast.
There was Locally smoked Salmon, never tasted anything so delicious, a variety of Locally baked Breads & a variety of homemade Cheeses, Nuts, Seeds Yogurt, Fresh Berries etc.
Also a cooked breakfast, should you prefer.
Endless Tea/Coffee too.
Looking forward to it all again tomorrow!

The location of the townhouse was brilliant. The town is right behind it, couldn't be anymore central and within walking distance the Jameson Distillery. Parking outside the townhouse too. We stayed as a family two plus one child, the room was a nice size room and best of all it had a fridge, which always comes in handy as my daughter drinks so much juice and milk. The breakfast was superb. They have thought of everything. My daughter loves strawberry's and the little fruit dishes on the tables in the morning was a really great touch. The owners are very friendly.

Great place to stay in Cork. I stayed here for work and I will definitely be coming back soon. Room was so clean and the bed was very cozy. Located in a lovely town also with nice walkways.

Lovely guest house Maria the owner couldn't do enough for you.
The breakfast was outstanding cold meats cereal, yoghurt, cheese lovely sourdough bread and for a small cost a fried breakfast.
Our room could of done with a bit of upgrading (Robin room)
Ideally situated in Midleton would recommend a trip to Cobh. Overall a great stay would return.

I recently had the pleasure if a one night stay at An Stór with my two dogs.
The location is a 2 minute walk from the main street, 5 minutes from the Distillery. The room was clean and comfortable, and bright.
Private parking was off road, just outside the front door.
Maria and the Team including Glenn the collie were lovely and great craic.
Breakfast was fantastic and Barney and Fada particularly enjoyed the sausages.
Great value for money.
Highly recommended and I'll be back when I next visit Cork.

We chose to stay in Midleton because we wanted to escape the buzz in Cork. The An Stor was one of our most favorite places during our three week long trip. One of us has ambulatory limitations and when Maria, the hostess and owner, observed her difficulties to climb the stairs, she changed our room from the second to the first floor without us having to ask for it (for Americans reading this, recall that outside of America, the first floor is one level above the “ground” floor). Very compassionate and attentive.
The beds were very comfortable, and there was an electric kettle and a fridge in the room. It was quiet and peaceful, just like Midleton.
The breakfast the next morning was probably the best we were offered during all of our stay in Ireland. There was everything that anyone could ever want for a gourmet breakfast. Maria had so much variety in the best possible quality, and also offered eggs and bacon. Maria’s husband is a butcher and they clearly take a lot of pride in providing their guests with the best possible experience. There were incomparably tasty, fresh berries on the table. The avocado was perfect. The salmon was special, as it was Beech-smoked and we’re quite sure, this was the best smoked salmon we had in our life. It was caught locally and smoked locally with a smokehouse built by a friend of Maria’s husband. There was also a microwave in the breakfast room so you could make your own hot chocolate.

An old house converted into b&b. This implies distribution of spaces is not entirely free. Ample room with minimal bathroom. Exceptionally varied and ample breakfast. Midleton is not much of a city, but it is easily connected with Cobh and Cork.
