This weekend we celebrated our twin girls first holy communion at the Westlodge Hotel. The staff were amazing. The food was beautiful. The hotel rooms are stunning and so spacious. I would like to thank all the staff for making the whole experience first class. Can't wait for our next stay.

Just home from this hotel. Amazing staff and food. Place have a lovely relaxing atmosphere. So well run especially in covid times. Keep up the amazing work. Well done 2ye all

We stayed at the West lodge for the Festive family getaway package 11-13th December. From start to finish the whole experience was fantastic. From hot chocolate and mulled wine on arrival. Kids movie both nights. Fairy trail on Saturday morning meeting Mrs Claus and the Elves. Food was amazing all locally sourced great options for the kids. Pancakes went down a treat for Breakfast. Irish Dancing performance Saturday night was fab. Sunday the kids got to meet Santa and his elves it was all so well organised. Staff were so lovely and helpful. The kids loved finding the elves around the lobby. Very well done to the West lodge hotel we will definitely be back.

We had our wedding last weekend at the Westlodge hotel and it was simply wonderful. They kept in contact all through Covid and anything we were unsure of they had an answer or a solution for. We were so well looked after and nothing seemed to be a bother to them! The food was amazing and every one of our guest complimented it! We had such a good time there and the staff on the day could not have done more for us. Everything was within the recommended guidelines. We would really recommend them!

Fabulous hotel ideally located to explore Bantry and the surrounding areas. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly. The food is excellent and we enjoyed a meal on the restaurant balcony watching the sun set which was lovely. The grounds are lovely to go for a stroll. We will definately be recommending this hotel and will be back for another stay.

We stayed in the Pondlodge cottages the past 2 nights amd they were awful grubby. Floors were dirty, spiders all over the cottage, shower door wouldn't open without putting full force on it and the shore in the shower was blocked and previous dirt was coming back up. It was an awful experience and will never return to the cottages. They look lovely from the outside but that's as far as it goes. Very dated also and smell of mould and old cigarette smell right through the cottage. We had our 15 month old baby with us and no way is it suitable for a baby. The hotel reception didn't care when we told them and barely got an apology. Looks like they're used to it. Will never return there.

Family of 5 in 2 bedroom cottage. We had a great stay, the cottages are quaint and have all your wants even a corkscrew, towels changed everyday and bins emptied daily. The half door was a great hit with kids and couldn't believe all cottages had them in olden times. The hotel staff were so friendly and food was gorgeous though we ate mostly in cottage. Pool was also lovely and also clean. There was lots to do like pitch and putt, walks, squash, pool, table tennis and playpark all at the hotel. Now if you wanted to find faults like some reviews look closely in any hotel and you'll find something to complain about but we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Pleasantly surprised with the family interconnection rooms. Make sure to ask for a recently refurbished room. Nice, modern and spacious. Yet to have breakfast in the morning!

Very thin walls so the noise from other guests made it difficult to sleep. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was not good at all, the staff was not very attentive and we got our drinks when we had almost finished the main course.

Good for children and couples alike. Great pool. Very good food. Friendly staff. Good entertainment. Nice walk into Bantry. Drives include the Goat's Path to Kilcrohane, to the Mizen Head via Durrus, Glengarriff, The RING Of Bear or Skibbereen. The list is endless.

So family orientated. Really nice setting and the grounds are amazing. So peaceful and perfect for an evening walk.

It's a budget hotel made to look like a nice one. Bathroom was one giant shower meaning the entire floor gets wet once someone has shower. Water wouldn't get cold for drinking. Had to drink warm water entire time (staff told me it was due to outside temp (17 degrees Celsius) ). No soap for hand washing. Airbnb would have been a better choice for the price.

Pretty poor services and amenities. Not the best location (kind of far from town if walking). Very dated rooms.

To the staff of the West Lodge Bantry. I attended an excellent night of music and dance with Patrick and Connor O Sullivan last night. During the night I unknowningly misplaced my wallet. Today, I received a phonecall from the reception of the hotel confirming that they had found my wallet. It was found by a house cleaner. It had my cards and cash in same. It is refreshing to know that honest sincere staff work here. It shows what an excellent team the West Lodge hotel have employed. Sincerely Thank you. A satisified customer.

I would say hotel rooms should be renovated but in all fairness they are very clean. Restaurant is brilliant and very tasty. Can't really finish without saying how nice and friendly hotel staff is. Exceptional. Thank you.

Cottages are very small and dated. Probably fine in summer, but not recommended for the cooler seasons. Not insulated, so the very dated heating is insufficient and leaves them damp and musty. Leisure center in hotel is o. K. The property is set on magnificent grounds with very nice views.

Very modern and comfortable hotel. Great staff. The general atmosphere is great too. Would definately recommend.

Hotels lovely. Foods great. Parking is easy. Bars are reasonably priced. Rooms are basic but comfy.

Nice place for a chill out, homely feel and friendly staff. Hotel is surrounded by lovely grounds and it's only a short walk to town centre. Great breakfast, good bar food and a lovely restaurant for evening dinner. There is a leisure centre attached, which is free for guests.

A little dated but with friendly staff and excellent food makes a trip here well worth it. Stunning views from the restaurant lovely walks also.

Very friendly staff. We had issue with bedroom, no fault of hotel, and it was handled so well and so professional by receptionist Emma. She was extremely nice and we only got to stay one night but will return again.

Spotless clean, amazing staff, beautiful food, the pool steam room sauna and Jascuz were fabulous I will be definitely staying here again. We also got a brilliant price for the family. Just a thank you to everyone at the westlodge hotel.

I have never given a negative review before but this place is dreadful. The room was awful, the service rubbish, the food akin to really bad school dinners from the '70's, the staff unhelpful and the management made Basil Fawlty look positively charming. We checked out after one night and went down the road to the Maritime Hotel that cost the same. It was like stepping out of a nightmare into a dream and we finally got the much needed R&R we were looking for.

Nice hotel. Rooms are excellent with great showers. Wifi throughout the hotel is constant and a decent speed. Wait staff in bars and restaurant are very good. Free parking. Great value stay.

Visited this afternoon for a 9yr old birthday. Brought 8 children swimming and then went into bar for food. It was great! We were given a table out of the way of the main bar, David and Ashley looked after us wonderfully. All of the children got what they wanted (pasta and chicken nuggets! ) And then the birthday girl got a very special dessert, with a coloured sparkler! All very reasonable too. A super birthday afternoon, easy and pleasant! Thanks all!

Good hotel. Some rooms not great and need to be refurbished. Food was good. Staff were good. Pool was good but small.

We had our wedding reception at the west lodge in 2012 it was fantastic. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, delicious food and we could not have asked for more on our special day. For anyone considering having your wedding here, I can only recommend it.

An absolute disaster from start to finish. We spent a long weekend there a number of years ago in one of the Pondlodge Cottages with our twin daughters and the experience is not one I want to repeat. The shower had pubic hair in it, there was dried blood on the storage heater and the place just smelled old and musty. We cooked a fry one of the evenings and when I turned on the extractor fan dust and debris fell onto our food. There was literally strands of dust hanging down. Needless to say we got a full refund and assurance that this would not happen again but judging by some of the other comments things haven't changed.

It has a lovely swimming pool and a luxury rooms.

Good value for money, nice clean room, very warm throughout the hotel (early December), staff friendly and the leisure club a nice addition to it all. Good 3* will definitely come back.

On arriving at the hotel, we were given our key for the cottage but nobody came down to the cottage to show us how things worked. The cottage had not been aired properly. It was musty and smelly. We discovered the microwave was not working when we tried to heat the baby's food. We had to get a replacement microwave late at night. The hotel was nice and the food was good although I got a broken glass with one of my drinks. The staff were very friendly but the manager avoided us for the whole time we were there even though we asked to see him. I would not recommend the cottages. The hotel was nice but I would not be rushing back.

Great spot summer or winter months.

Hi, stayed for three nights and the bed was cumfy the food lovely and the staff very helpful.

This Hotel does not deserve its 3star rating. Rooms are shabby and cold even in summer. Hotel understaffed and rude as a result. Meals from the bar are poor, portion sizes are ridiculous. Breakfast buffet was poorly supplied, hot offering was undercooked and swimming in grease. Will not be returing. Ever. M. Dublin.
