What a fantastic hotel spent a night in one of the sea scape rooms absolutely beautiful room with spectacular views. Staff were so friendly and food was top class. Will definitely be staying again.

We had an amazing time at a wedding and it was 5 stars from checking in Friday night to checking out Monday morning.

Absolute fantastic hotel, stupendous views, fabulous food — some of the finest in Ireland plus a welcoming and accommodating staff in a beautiful part of the world. You just can't go wrong, book in! I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly and 5 stars isn't enough!

Just back from a stay with the Armada and I can honestly say they’re the nicest people I have ever dealt with in a hotel setting. Their thoughtfulness is second to none. The room was amazing, and the scenery was just spectacular. Looking forward to my next visit already.

I’ve eaten quite a few times in the bar and the food is always amazing. We tried the take away menu recently and it didn’t disappoint. The way the food was packaged and presented was top quality, the friendly manager met me with the food with a huge smile on his face. The portions were large and did not disappoint. Thank you to the armada staff for bringing a lovely change of scenery to this dreary lockdown. (The takeaway cocktails are pretty awesome to). Looking forward to returning soon. Fair dues, keep up the good work ❤️ grà agus meas.

I recently stayed at the Armada, for the first time. It’s been a while since I’ve been in such a customer focused hotel. Super friendly staff coupled with beautiful food in an amazing location looking out to sea. Great to see Francis too, must be 20 years since we knew each other in Adare. I will defiantly return after lockdown.

Just back from our staycation. It was fantastic from start to finish. Staff, food and atmosphere were incredible. Any business owners who have staff which deal with the public should take them for a visit to the Armada Hotel to see what perfection in customer service is all about. We will definitely be back. It starts from the top down and John’s leadership and cohesion with his team is a credit to his hotel. Thank you.

Got Armada at Home yesterday, had the lasagne for 4, it was gorgeous and so was the garlic bread. Chips, brownies and bread were all perfect too, great value for money and will definitely be getting it again! Great service, fair play!

Great experience After a nice day at the beach I arrived at the Armada Hotel. Smooth check in. Nice room and friendly lady at the desk. During dinner at the ocean bar I got in contact with Daniel the manager. He explained me all the fun things I could do around and made me a nice gin and tonic with berries. Food was good. The following day I took the advice of the manager and visit the cliff's and had a relaxing bath with seaweed. I deffently will be back soon to enjoy more of clare and the Armada.

Fantastic service, staff is always happy to help, the corner suite was worth every penny! Dont enjoy the tub soak, without the seaweed treatment! Food was too notch! Clean and beautifully decorated!

A bit pricey but the room was beautiful and modern and had an amazing view of the water! The best part was the pub, though! Really good food with a great beer and whiskey selection. The live music was very entertaining. The bartender was super friendly and even let me try out a little of the Gaelic that I learned for the trip.

I can only recommend everyone to avoid this hotel and not to have the same bad experience as us. On our two-week trip through Ireland, we got by far the worst value for money for our room. Almost traumatized by the rest of the hotel, especially in terms of hygiene, we haven't visited any hotels since our visit there, but only B&Bs. Please do yourself a favor and book anything else no matter what.

Beautiful hotel. Full of quirky detail and literally full of nooks and crannies. Attended a wedding here and everyone was very friendly. The only thing that annoyed me was the fact my key card kept deactivating after the first time reception suggested that it was because it was near my phone or credit cards. So I left both in the room for the night but the card kept deactivating still.

Staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. You won't come away hungry. Make sure to get one of the locally produced brown bread ice cones. There are other flavours as well. Lovely to eat with a desert spoon. The cone itself is fabulous as well!

Ok. First impressions at reception was a dreadfully strong smell of fish. Reception was underwhelming. 3 persons behind reception but only one actually working. Slow process. Single room cost same as a double. Not impressed with cost of rooms as they certainly do not match quality of rooms. While the rooms are clean, carpet and furniture are dated and show the wear and tear. As the pic of the bath robes show its a bit tired. Old books on table and old washed worn bath robes should be removed from room. This hotel is "fine" but over priced. Would expect a bit of luxury for prices charged.

Fantastic Hotel. Spectacular Scenery. Historically located. Great Restaurant with glorious food and beverages for the hungry travelling man. Facilities to suit all the family, friendly service and excellent staff. Overall a thoroughly wonderful place for a weekend break or place to celebrate a wedding/ occasion. I will most definitely be back again.

We just stopped for lunch. A group of 14 CYCLOS all wet. Everything is OK.

Terrible service for dinner. Ordered two meals received one and waited. The other meal never showed up and the server had to be tracked down. Had to ask for water several times before that showed up. You know the old adage of what makes great customer service, the customer is always right. This server said we never ordered two meals. We reminded her of the conversation, asking about the soup, and reminded her of her response. Well, that sort of resonated. So we ordered the soup again and she came back and said it was no longer available so we had what was left of a tomato soup. My friend was up that night with indigestion. So it goes. On the bright side, lovely ocean view.

What a wonderful hotel to spend time at. ALL the Staff are very polite and helpful. We had a very relaxing time. The food and rooms were of excellent quality. We have stay at the Armada Hotel a few time. We would always say it's our little piece of Heaven. We have always loved our little breaks at The Armada Hotel. A million Thanks to All. Breda & Gabriel. Recently here for a wedding. Great service all day. Food was great and the hotel and facilities were top notch. Highly recommended.

Visited this fabulous hotel recently for a family event. The views will literally take your breath away. It is so peaceful and the food was amazing.

Had a 3 night stay here on the 25/4/18. Stayed for my best friends wedding. Every single experience was positive. The rooms were fab. The staff were all friendly from the reception staff to the waiters at the wedding reception and the lady checking us in at breakfast every morning. The wedding co-ordinator was also so fab. The food was amazing from start to finish. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding or just a hotel stay. Amazing experience.

All positive … lovely meal in the bar, a pint of Guinness, followed by a drop of Red Brest. All served by lovely, friendly staff. Then off to bed, feeling very happy …

Even though this was a lunch stop, the room look Gorgeous and large. What a view of the shore line. The lunch was good they have a nice little cafe in the back. Neat place!

Had a wonderful night stay here which I enjoyed very much, especially the room I had with amazing view of the sea and nice features like a bath tub! Highly recommend!

Had lovely meal with 3 others last night. However just a few observations. One person ordered a drink in the restaurant but when it was not available there he was told to go to the bar! Not good enough. No vegetables came with the specials and he was charged extra even though he was paying for 4 meals plus wine. Small annoyances for an otherwise lovely meal but enough to make you wonder if you would return! It was a busy weekend in Spanish point and if a percentage left feeling like this it is bad for business.

I agree with the reviews of others and I add that the breakfast worn attached to the glass of a finestrona with breathtaking views is unforgettable and makes you feel inside a film… yellow, seen the weather very gray and Ventosissimo.

Beautiful venue by the ocean with a fantastic view. Stayed here as part of a wedding party and were treated extremely well by everyone except the night porters who were a little rude, although we were a little drunk. Excellent reception with friendly staff, a great selection of alcohol in the bar and the food was fantastic. Great amenities with the attached bar being a real cool "old fashioned" pub.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Booked a lovely room with an amazing view of the beach. Felt like a proper 5 star experience and can't wait to book to go back.

The disabled bathroom leaves a lot to be desired! There was someone in it when we went and as we waited my Mother's wheelchair blocked the access to the rest of the bathroom! It is clear that the people who design these facilities do not put themselves in the skin of those who use them, or of those who care for them! The 'brunch menu' was limited and disappointing.

Good base for touring. Restaurant service could be much better.

Had a wonderful stay with my partner in this Hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the Bar was excellent, and if they still have the mushroom and veal casserole on the menu be sure to order it as it was to die for.

The Armada Hotel was a great place to start our honeymoon in Ireland! Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Even letting us check in early. It's a beautiful hotel and the food is great. I would definitely go back!

Super Hotel with fantastic food.

Very nicely located hotel with interesting restaurant. A little journey back in time around Spain, England and Ireland.

I'm sure this is a lovely place for any experience but ours. We stayed here September 16th after a long day of driving and just needed a place to crash. There was a wedding reception happening that day but we didn't realize how much that would impact our stay. They had 2 rooms available right next to each other. It turns out they were available because they overlooked the garbage bins of the pub, mildly annoying since we paid 160 euro for the night. We headed down to the pub for dinner only to find it was full up. The other bar was unavailable due to the reception so we were shuffled to the dining room where we were offered the pub menu but clearly they would have preferred we order from the more expensive menu as only the dinner menu people were given a window seat. After dinner we retired to our room where we had a few moments of silence before the live music of the pub started and went until 2:30 am. The next morning we voiced our displeasure to the desk clerk and they asked if we wanted to speak to the manager. "Would it make a difference? " I asked. "Probably not" was the reply. I should have talked to the manager anyway but I was disgusted and sleep deprived so we just left. Bottom line, I'm sure our experience was unique but for me, it will be the only one.

Ambience: The room was immaculate and tranquil, overlooking the ocean — sunset was just the cherry on top. Staff: Incredible service. When asking the front desk for transportation advice, a staff member, Tony, overheard and offered us a ride the following morning as he was heading that direction. Above and beyond the call of duty, and a shining exemplar of the customer service at the Armada. The pub staff was also extremely pleasant. Food: delicious food at Johnny Burke's with a great environment and generous portions. Service was phenomenal. The breakfast buffet included every item fathomable and the quality was great; immense appreciation for the attention to detail. Overall — incredible experience, 100% recommend.

Fantastic view of the rolling Atlantic. Really lovely friendly efficient staff. Different bars to explore. Great food. Good craic and overall lovely … even a friendly dog to talk to.

Greate food and music. The only thing we didn't like was the partition in the pub that didn't let us enjoy properly the life music and there aren't enough stools. Part of that evening was great!

Great hotel on the water. The staff was very quick to help us with anything we needed. The views you can get from this place are definitely worth the stay.

Beautiful location. Noisy Room above pub. Party in pub lasted until 3:30 am, literally. Poor restaurant service. Butter wrapper found in salad informed waiter, no apology. No water pressure in shower. Charged in US dollars for meal when specifically asked for transaction to be in Euros. Overall, bad experience. Location was only plus of the 2 night stay. I would not stay again at this hotel.

This place has spent about of money on getting worse. It used to be a favourite spot of mine to go for a showder, but sense renovating, everything down to the cutlery and the menu screams retirement home. If you find yourself here, try to get a seat in the bar, it's much nicer and less complicated then the other 2 self service areas they have going (just to complicate things it seems). If your having showder get there early or you'll get watered down, over-cooked fish gloop. Such a shame all originality has gone in place of a ratty wedding venue.

Great place. It is ideal for a weekend break. The restaurant was a good experience with a good selection.

Didn't stay here, but the bar is amazing! The food is possibly the best I've ever had. We've been here 3 times in four days, and we went all the way up to Galway and down to Kilrush. The seafood curry is fantastic. Their whiskey and beer selection is the best I've found around the area and the atmosphere is perfect. If you're around, don't miss it!

Beautiful hotel, bar and restaurant. Had eaten here from the bar menu with the family and everyone really enjoyed it. Excellent views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Stayed in the cottages. The main hotel bar is snug and cosy with a fine turf fire. Serves local beers (Doolin Red is lovely) and the staff are friendly. The hotel has a library corridor with seating and shelves of books to borrow — very nice. Of course the views are great — the wild Atlantic.

Lovely hotel with beautiful food and the drink isn't too bad either. All the staff from reception to bar to house keeping are so friendly and helpful this is why we keep coming back always enjoy our stay here. Thanks so much for everything x.

Nice modern hotel with amazing views. Even when the weather isn't good it's great to sit and watch the amazing Atlantic waves breaking against the shore. There's a great carvery lunch at the weekends and the the food from the main restaurant and bar are excellent. It's also a great wedding location. The staff are superb in making the day as easy a possible. The only thing missing is a gym but you can have a nice walk on by the sea instead.

Idyllic location just by the sea, very comfortable hotel, with amazing food (and breakfast for every taste) and extremely friendly staff. The morning view from the restaurant is simply breathtaking. Beds are perfect for a good night sleep, hard so you don't sink in too deep but at the same time soft so you don't even feel them. Rooms are spacious and cozy. We recommend it highly and are definitively planning to revisit it some time in the future.

You are right on the beach and for the views alone, I have to give this a 4 star rating. It is possible to have a walk on the beach before a tasty breakfast and then another one afterwards. I will be back.

The Armada has to be one of my favourite hotels.! I just love the location, the decor, the staff the food. (Oh the food.! ) and pretty much everything about this hotel. Can't recommend it enough. Looking forward to my Daughters wedding there in September!

My self and michael got married here on 3rd september 2014. We had the ceremony hear as well. We can only say it was an absolutly amazing day, from start to finish, the food the staff the accomodation was second to non, our cereomony was so romantic nd personal. We would highly recommend the Armarda for your wedding co, ordinaters were there for us from day one they were so helpfull nd made it so easy for us to plan our day. Would recommend anyone to stay in the armada it is such a beautiful location and a fabulous hotel. I recently got married here and I could not believe how amazing the staff were and the food and service was out of this world. All our friends and family commented on how well they were treated and on the high standard of food, staff and rooms. I could not fault the hotel in any way.
