Afternoon tea. Quite pleasant. Nothing outstanding really.

Really rude staff at reception. Would not let us swap dates after a family emergency. Really expencive to the extreme. Def not woth it! Would not reccomend to anyone.

Very disappointed. Food inedible. Pizza undercooked, very doughy. Chicken curry was a stringy chicken breast with sauce over the top. Cold rice. Soggy greasy chips, most of which were bits. Chicken wings seriously undercooked and tasteless. Food better from the chipper. We wanted to sit outside as it was a warm evening and the football was on the TV in the indoor area, which was a bit noisy, but smoking is allowed in both outdoor areas which made it very uncomfortable for me. I would think one are could be a smoke free zone. Won’t be going back.

Beautifully situated, wonderful people, comfortable, spacious rooms, fabulous food. Just a magical experience.

Country House par excellence, cheerful staff, delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, very comfortable rooms and lovely walks around the estate. Definitely will be back.

Recently partook in a fabulous afternoon tea here with my mum and sister. Lovely setting and all homemade produce in the afternoon tea, made it amazing. We were all very impressed.

The most amazing weekend away. Staff incredibly friendly and professional. The food was out of this world.

I expected more of the food, salad starter was dry without dressing and our luch lasted an extra hour due to the length of time people were chewing the beef. No idea why that Yorkshire pudding sat naked on the side of my plate. Desert was delicious even though it looked nothing like an apple tart. Chef has a serious case of 'I know best' (or was away for the day). Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and grounds. On the cold day that we visited, the hotel was very cosy.

We've been watching Kevin Dundon on PBS for several years, so naturally we wanted to visit his restaurant if we ever made our way to Ireland. Unfortunately the timing wasn't right on our first visit and we were sorely disappointed. However, on our next visit, we made it a point to travel to County Wexford. We were thoroughly pleased with the entire experience. Ireland is a beautiful country and Dunbrody Country House is a fine example of this beauty. The surroundings were charming and the gardens were well maintained. It was like a postcard. We had reservations for lunch on Sunday. We were promptly greeted and escorted to our table by friendly staff. The server was attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. We placed our orders and received our drinks, when to our surprise, Kevin came to our table and chatted with us for a bit. He even signed a cook book we just happened to have with us in the car. The food soon arrived and we were in heaven. We had been adventurous in our ordering determined to try new things while on holiday and we were not disappointed. The timing between courses was not rushed nor were there any delays. All in all a fantastic trip and wonderful meal. Well worth the drive from Dublin. If you are ever in Ireland, I highly recommend a visit here.

Beautiful surroundings a wonderful little rustic pub on the grounds of the house itself with a fabulous beer garden and excellent food, I couldn't ask for more.

Here for two days. Had a lovely time. Food beautiful. Staff very helpful and courteous. Athmosphere very friendly. Beautiful walks. Lovely break overall.

Love it here. Stayed twice before. The place had bad coverage of internet when we stayed, which was great! It meant we had to talk to each other and really relax together. I hope they never change their internet provider. 'The Local' is a great spot and the food there is fantastic. Best Fish and Chips I've had in a long time.

I've had several wonderful visits to Dunbrody over the last number of years. It's the sort of place you look forward to coming back to. The rooms (those beds! ) are inviting and oh so comfortable. You can admire the views across the parkland from the rooms or enjoy the terrace. The staff are very friendly and as for the food. Well scrumptious as you'd expect. The buttermilk pancakes at breakfast. Mmm. Fortunately I still have some reasons to go back. Cookery school for one thing and another trip to the spa. Looking forward to it.

Dunbrody Country House Hotel is one of Ireland's best places for when you need a few days away from the husstle and bustle of every day life or when you have a celebration like your wedding. The minute you arrive you relax in this amazing country house (that every visitor immediately calls home away from home when they arrive) enjoying the friendliest of hospitality award winning Irish food and much more. To me the lovely walks in the gardens and woodland with a pint at the end in their bar it the Ideal few nights away. As a florist I've also provided flowers for many brides that choose Dunbrody for their wedding celebrations and this way I've seen every element of this amazing business. I'm so happy to award Dunbrody 5*****.

Loved Staying here — old house charm with a cool vibe! Staff are very warm and welcoming. Bedrooms are elegant and the beds are soooo comfortable. Love the option of dining in the dining room with the full menu or using the Champagne bar for a lighter choice. Loved the "pub" too! Can't wait to go back.

Wish we could spend more time here as great place to wind down and relax. Food is great and breakfast selection is extensive. Love the new pub. Great crack. +++.

If I could I would give no stars. Stayed overnight and ate in the dining room this month. The room was stuffy, asked for a fan or something to move the air or could we be transferred to the 2nd floor (our room was next to the drive way on the first floor). No luck. The staff disappeared by 10 p. M. So I would not rate this a hotel. It's a B and B We had no real choice for dinner, was given only the option of a 65 euro set dinner of 3 courses (their ad said we should have had 5 courses). Although the aware winning chef was in the kitchen, the food came out over cooked. Who eats prime rib that is well done? Save your time and money and look elsewhere.

We booked an evening meal at the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we ordered our meal we were really looking forward to tasting some fabulous food. Boy were we disappointed! we ordered starters of scallops which were under seasoned and over cooked, followed by duck breast, baby carrot baby turnip mashed potato and red wine jus the duck breast consisted of two tranches of duck, it certainly was the smallest duck breast ever more like we had one duck breast between us, and the vegetables were rock hard, the new potatoes were watery and horrid certainly not Bannow new spuds, cabbage was a disaster under seasoned and under cooked. We played safe with dessert of cheese and crackers cheese good selections accompanied by jumbo thick oatcake type crackers one badly burnt that should not have been served not good!. The entire meal was very poorly cooked and very disappointing. The waiting staff were polite but lacking experience, we witnessed a waitress having opened wine smelling the bottle rather than the cork! a waiter with his hand on the rim of the cup and the rug on the floor was really badly stained and absolutely filthy. All in all it was a very badly prepared meal and I wonder when did Kevin last eat in the restaurant needless to say we will not be back and if asked could not possibly recommend it.

Been on holiday there. The food was good. User friendly, can only recommend it.

We came from New Jersey and were driving through Ireland. I client of mine recommended this place. I booked two rooms for my family for a one night stay. I came just for the food which was highly recommended by my client. We had a very nice experience. The lodge and grounds were impressive. My daughter did complain of mysterious bug bites all over her body after we checked out but she was the only one of us to have such a problem. Rooms were elegantly decorated and I liked that they had music running when we checked in. It is not a new building of course but it is nicely decorated and has lots of charm. The restaurant was excellent. The food was excellent. We had a delicious meal which was preceded by drinks at the bar. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the lodging. The owner was very personable and we had a nice chat at check out.

Very enjoyable overnight stay. Service and room excellent. Food top class. Special rates made this great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Decor, warm welcome and fab food. Stayed on cold wet winter night and totally enjoyed all the logs fres, candle light and great music playing in the background. Breakfast til 12 was a really unexpected treat. Could not fault our stay except that 1 night was not enough. Nudging hubby for a repeat trip in the summer so I can lounge on the terrace in the sun.
