Hotels in Laois with Breakfast

Wonderful stay in Portlaoise. Loved the friendly welcome and comfy warm room. Clean sheets and fluffy towels. Strong hot shower.

October 17-20, 2025. The Ivyleigh House in Portlaoise, County Laois, is a charming retreat. Dinah and Jerry were incredibly thoughtful—like family—offering helpful tips for getting around.

This family-run B&B is the perfect stay for a peaceful place with the warm hospitality and great kindness of the family hosts Liz and her husband Tom.

We stayed here in this fantastic B&B for 2nights. Anna our host was so helpful. The place was so clean and the breakfast was excellent. We were sorry leaving but there's always again.

Stayed here to attend a wedding reception. The rooms were well presented but a little hot with no functional thermostat.

This is a lovely place run by lovely staff. There is a real homely Irish family run feel about the Manor in that they value the comfort and happiness of their customers.

Preston House is without a doubt one of the absolute gems of Abbeyleix. Owner Ross, is always on hand to welcome guests and provide excellent recommendations (yup, the nearby Bog Walk is sublime!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Preston house. A step back in time in this beautifully renovated and restored building.

Spent the night here for a girls trip away for the bank holiday! John who owns the home couldn’t have been more friendly, informative, and helpful upon arrival.

We ended up here by mistake, the best mistake we could have made, great clean place to stay, the host’s were fantastic.

After seeing wonderful reviews on social media, I decided to book an energy healing session with Eilish and I'm so glad I did!

I stayed at the Blackhill Woods Retreat for a weekend, and really enjoyed it.
Beautiful old manor, very friendly hosts, and amazing forest walks behind the house.
