We went for our wedding tasting yesterday and we couldn't fault it at all food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was so helpful n lovely 2 talk couldn't help us enough looking forward to our big day in July 🥰

Attended my nephews Confirmation here on Sunday 3rd April. The service was amazing, the knowledge of Coeliac was excellent. The food was amazing and as a Coeliac I was looked after very well.

Had a fantastic weekend in this lovely hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel, great service, lovely staff, great food and night entertainment in the bar. Thank you so much to Jonathan Dalton for posting my forgotten charger back to Dublin 😍

We just had a fantastic weekend at the killeshin hotel, we were a group of 20, and the service and the staff absolutely amazing. Food fantastic highly recommend. A high Thank you to all the staff for a great weekend!

Just stayed three nights here (17 people in total) and honestly couldn't fault it, food, staff, service, hygiene, covid compliant and so much more. Even though we had to sit at separate tables and stay within the restrictions it worked. Genuine people working in difficult times and nothing was too much, thank you all for the wonderful stay we will be back as usual with the famiy and our service dog.

We would like to thank Ciaran who for the last few months helped us to change our wedding date 3 times and went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. The team at the Killeshin is so friendly, warm and welcoming to us and our guests, everybody felt at home, looked after and safe during this crazy time we’r all living in. I’m so happy we choose to have our wedding there, the food is also amazing. If a couple is wondering should we have our wedding there my answer is guys go for it you’ll have the best day ever from the very first meeting to the day following your wedding everything will be perfect. Lovely hotel friendly staff and the food is amazing.

We recently had a family confirmation in this hotel and it was an excellent day from start to finish. The food was simply amazing, the choices on the menu were super at a great price. The staff were so polite and helpful, can not recommend the killeshin enough. Thank you for making our day so enjoyable.

Recently, my family and I had dinner in the hotel in the bar area. We weren’t staying in the hotel but just wanted to dine there.
It was one of the worst meals we ever had. My daughter’s chicken nugget meal was hard and very dry. My own meal of house fajitas came from a packet. The sauce tasted of it. I asked for no onions and our server had said that could not be done as it was premixed. I had asked for cheese for a topping for my fajitas and Parmesan was offered. Who puts Parmesan on Mexican food? The rest of the meal was very average for a 4 star hotel. Does no one cook anymore? This was very dissatisfactory. I had mentioned to one of the servers about the state of the chicken and all he could do was repeat what I had said. No reimbursement was given of any kind. I will not be returning to this hotel and will make sure to discourage others as well.

Our son in law's birthday party last Saturday night was a great family get together and a big THANK YOU goes to the very pleasant staff on duty they couldn't have been more helpful, mannerley from time we arrived to when we left, I couldn't speak highly enough of them or the venue and our meal was served with excellent service we would highly recommend this hotel.

There are just not enough words to compliment this hotel! Arrived on Friday 27/12/19 for my husband’s birthday celebration for 2 nights with 20 family members including kids. To say everything was perfect is just not enough! Food, service, staff, rooms, facilities, value for money. All excellent! Only slight observation is that some rooms were quite warm but I’m just being picky here. Absolutely fabulous hotel & already planning a Christmas 2020 family break there! Thanks Michael, Lynn & all the staff.

Brought my children and husband out for Sunday lunch. While the food was lovely the staff and service were appalling. The staff were more interested in talking to each other than dealing with customers.

Drove down Easter Sunday for a overnight stay with my family. Reception area was lovely staff on desk was lovely got my keys to my room and went up. Well there bed clothes were dirty, floor stains all carpet, sides of bed were filty, I wouldnt even sit on seat on chairs in room they were that dirty, the bed went in big deep (think they needed a NEW bed. I went back down to repception and left hotel I've never seen hotel room so dirty. I had to drive all way home. What a waste of Easter sunday…

Fab Hotel — Decor is to die for and the staff are all so helpful and welcoming. The rooms are more than equipped for whatever your stay may be and the beds are heavenly! Great central location if needing over-nights for work / meetings down the country anywhere — Would highly recommend.

Loved the room and the pool was excellent. Great group facilities and food was superb. Great staff and good enough location.

Wouldn’t come back. Staff are unhelpful especially at reception. Seems like they don’t care about the fact you’ve spent money to come and stay there. Other than that the rooms were lovely, the spa facilities were perfect for the size of the hotel. Just wished we had better experiences with the staff because other than that we would have been back.

Lovely stay. Friendly, efficient staff. Bedrooms modern, very clean, good facilities. Tea making facilities. Wi-Fi coverage good. Good variety bar food and good variety at breakfast. Service excellent. 5 minute taxi ride to town. Overall enjoyed the experience.

Only ever use the gym here… which is good. Only discounting 1 star cos some of the equipment is broken and limits what you're working on. Staff are great, always made feel welcome and are always willing to give advice.

Just back from a 3 day break at the Killeshin Hotel. Had a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The food in both the restaurant and the bar is delicious and beautifully presented. The kids loved the pool. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our return visit!

Really nice modern hotel. The food was good, your standard country hotel menu. The only slight draw back is that it's located so close to the road.

We regularly use the Killeshin Hotel for Sunday lunch at find they serve very good food at reasonable prices. Good service and friendly staff. Robert and Imelda Sweeney.

A great spot for the family. Had bar food on the Friday and a meal in the restaurant on the Saturday. Breakfast was spot on both mornings serving up till 10.30 Staff were very nice and friendly and overall we would give 10/10 including the swimming pool with sauna and steam room.

My local hotel. My favourite place. The Coffee Dock. The perfect haven. My favourite staff member Kasia. So friendly and welcoming and such a dedicated member of staff. Always happy and courteous serving up her daily delights with a smile. Highly recommended.

Amazing service. Amazing atmosphere. Rooms are beautiful, and make you feel at home. Just an amazing hotel in general. Would 100% recommend this place.

Just had afternoon tea for two in the Killeshin Hotel today and it was fabulous. Tea was piping hot and as much as you want and the selection of sandwiches and cakes was exceptional. Plus the waitress Georgia looking after us was an absolute lady and couldn’t do enough for us and seemed to know when we needed something before we even asked and also brought out an extra cake with a candle as we were there for my birthday. Wil definitely be back. Dolores.

Very nice hotel with shops nearby. Nice, friendly staff actually smile when they see you which is refreshing. Well done. Food is good and priced well. Rooms are spacious but the traffic is nearly constant and immediately apparent if your room is facing the road. All in all I'd be happy to come back. Only 4 star rating due to the checking in lasting nearly 25 minutes even though the hotel was booked in advance.

Great breakfast, good atmosphere, staff that communicate by talking. Most importantly ringing a human gets you a better deal. Using online services means less profit for anyone, just ring and talk to a human being.

Nice hotel, rooms are very spacious and clean. Food is pretty decent standard, good choice and variety. Service is pretty good. Would be nice to have some live music on occasion. Now serving afternoon tea which is a good choice. Recent renovation really looks very modern.

Ok place but the dinner let it down with bad staff service. Could do with a upgrade and a new fresh paint job in the rooms.

This place is amazing customer service. We we're on the west coast when the hurricane was about to arrive, and we're able to get reservations here in order to keep safe. The staff from the front desk to cafe have been super friendly and helpful. Clean, beautiful rooms. Cute village, not big, but quiet and located not far from everything you want to visit.

The staff is so nice & friendly I was their loads times very child friendly their this eve for kids magical show an staff very help fill family friendly big time great for get way with kids loads to do.

Breakfast without any Organisation. Clean your stations, Ladies and learn to carry more than 2 plates. Take care of the buffet and fill the plates and bowls BEFORE they are empty.

Lovely hotel for a wedding. Reasonable prices for drinks and food was nice too. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

The room was very comfy. They let us in for breakfast even after 10 as there was a queue. Very happy with everything altogether.

I can't even put into words how thankful I am that we chose to hold the afters of our wedding in the Killeshin. We only had a little under 7 weeks to plan our whole day from start to finish and they made everything run the exact way we asked them too. Cavan and his team are absolute pros and every little detail was handled with such precision. The food was absolutely stunning and looked AMAZING, hats off to the chef and all the kitchen team too. I also want to mention the care they took of my dad who is not a well man anything we needed for him was gotten and we cannot thank you enough for this Anyone looking to get married should definitely come here they will make sure you want for nothing on the day and that it runs like clock work (even if they waited for 2 hours for me and my new hubby to arrive) xxx.

I went with my husband for meal this evening in the bar area. The staff were excellent my stir fry was Luke warm and extremely bland. I did not eat much of it. My husband's meal and both dessert were lovely. I did bring it to the attention of the waiter who advised he would inform the chef I did advise the gentleman I paid and he did ask if I wanted to speak to a manager I didn't feel this should have been necessary so I declined. I did also advise the receptionist as I had a voucher. I'm disappointed as I've been to the Killeshin lots of time and always got good food and secondly I don't feel I should have been charged once I complained. I'm disappointed.

Checked into the hotel, when to the room and there was no travel cot there. I was after asking twice before I even got to the hotel for one and I had to go to reception and ask a third time. The lamps in the hotel room were not working. You could write your name in the dust on top of the wardrobe. When down to eat breakfast the next morning to be greeted rudely by a blonde woman who was not Irish, she asked for our room number and I gave it to her, she said you can't have breakfast as breakfast is not included in your package, we offered to pay for it, she said no you need a voucher. I told her that we were told at reception that we could come there for breakfast in the morning. She ended up taking the money. Sat down at a table where she guided us to. It wasn't set, there was only 2 knives and a fork. She said she'll be back to set it. I was waiting 20 mins for a fork I had to go and ask again, went up to get the buffet breakfast, all that was there was sausages, the fat bits off the rashers and 1 fried egg. €12 each this breakfast cost. The room was €120 not including the breakfast. It certainly was not worth that kind of money. I will not be recommending this hotel and I will be letting people know about my experience.

The reason for 2* on a previous visit the service, the food, the length of time waiting for the food on a very tight timescale was deplorable. When I brought it to the attention of? assistant manager, he was to contact me about it and never did. I work in the hospital opposite the hotel which use the hotel on a frequent basis, but NEVER again. I always had great praise for the hotel but that visit was never to be repeated, and no contact from anybody when I did bring it to their attention. Does not even deserve 2*.

Met a friend in the restaurant for dinner this evening and I have to say the food was divine. I would like to mention the waitress Francesca who sold us on having the Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert by telling us "eating it with a teaspoon means less guilt". Needless to say we enjoyed that dessert even more. Highly recommend this restaurant and the price was very reasonable.

First impression was the modern open lobby with fireside seating-very welcoming. Dinner in the restaurant was very well presented and very tasty. (Caesar salad followed by sirloin steak… very enjoyable! ) We were very lucky with a room upgrade (see picture) which was very comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast offered everything you would want, in an enjoyable quiet atmosphere with friendly staff. Very enjoyable… Slightly too far a walk from the town centre (but a short taxi/car ride) but nicely away from the bustle of it.

The staff were great. We booked it last minute and they couldn't be more accommodating especially the night time receptionist. The wait staff checked up on us multiple times throughout our meal checking if everything was ok and checked if we needed anything. The food was so fast and was cooked to perfection. Overall a great stay. Will definitely be returning. Great price for a 4 star hotel.

We were staying at the hotel in order to attend a family event, some of which took place in the hotel. The staff could not do enough for us and as we had young children in tow this really made a world of difference. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The food was spot on. The only small criticism I had was the bar menu which we found a bit lacking (platters would have been nice and they were all out of crisps). A play room for young kids would also be a very welcome addition.

Great location. Superb underground car park. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is amazing! The rooms are very spacious. My only criticism is, the size of the television. It was tiny. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Stayed here once for a 1 night stopover and loved it, been looking for an excuse to repeat the experience!

Smallest pool in Portlaise. 1 small sauna 1 small steam room and only 1 jakuzi. Gym area also smallest in Portlaoise. Heritage and Maldron hotels pool are much much bigger than Killeshin hotel. Unfriendly stuff towards family who has small kids.

Visited the hotel and eat in the bar. The hobby was really nicely decorated but the staffs uniform in the bar looked like they needed replacing only the shirts tho they were lovely and friendly and well presented other wise. The food was great and prices were good. The staff were flat out but the table service was second to non and our server was a lovely polish red hair girl that was nothing but friendly the whole way! So thanks to her and the bar manager who was behind the bar chatting away to the people sitting at the bar and still serving drinks the whole time, multi tasker master! Haha.

Lovely hotel! The staff was very friendly and the rooms were of high standard. The staff went out of their way to help us and gave us lovely dinner recommendations for one of our evenings dining out. The adjoining gym with swimming pool was a nice addition. The hotels restaurant had an amazing burger and pasta dish. Breakfast was simple but affordable. Would recommend this hotel.
