The management have very little patience or understanding towards people with disabilities. I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on this particular reason. The Killashee Hotel is much nicer and alot more welcoming.

Beautiful room. That's about it. We booked a massage, as I was getting changed, I had a staff member banging on the door calling my name and demanding I hurry up. I felt rushed and very uncomfortable. The service was also incredibly slow! we waited 20 mins each time we ordered a drink. For the money we spent, I'm appalled. Certainly won't be back!

Cleaning and maintenance in the rooms, poor staff management. Leisure center not well maintained as sits is not properly attached, floor is not regularly wipe it was extremely sleepy and also didn't see any life gard.

Stayed Sunday night, 2 adults, 3 children, absolutely spotless, felt so safe, stunning rooms with balconies. Fabulous staff, late checkout was a bonus, goodie bags for kids, beautiful food, we will definetely be back.

I just want to say a big thank you to paddy the senior bar man working today. Myself and my 2 daughters were in today getting dinner and my almost 1 year old starting choking. The staff and paddy came to assist immediately and removed the obstruction and thankfully shes ok. Very helpful staff. Big thank you again 🙏 we are so grateful.

I am absolutely disgusted with the reservations manager and staff at the Osprey Hotel. Yesterday, I spent most of my day trying to resolve a booking I made with Pigsback that the staff told me was okay to purchase and use this weekend. I specifically rang them before I booked anything and told them the dates I wanted (Saturday and Sunday) this weekend. I was told to go ahead and buy the voucher which was €269. I then rang them to book and was told that it is not valid on a Saturday! Nowhere on the fine print does it state that Saturday is not included! I have attached a screenshot of the fine print FYI. I offered to not even use the room upgrade or spa voucher just so we could stay with my family for a much needed break away. I called this morning and the manager was disinterested, non empathetic and wanted to charge me nearly an extra €250 for the Saturday night! I’ve recommended this hotel to friends, family and business acquaintances for many years. I’ve stayed here several times. I’m so disappointed you would treat a loyal customer like that. Especially at this time. Shame on you. Disgusting behaviour. I will never recommend you to anyone again.

The swimming pool area is very unclean. Outdoor shoes used at pool side. Swimming instructor in water without swimming hat. Baby pool way too cold for my 1year old. We waited 50 mins for our meals (only 4 other tables in use in restaurant). The chicken was extremely dry. The kids food arrived a good 5 mins after our meals arrived. Room was spacious but bath was dirty so couldn't use. Remote control for TV broken. On the plus side staff were friendly.

From start to finish our stay was perfect staff went above and beyond and was so helpful and friendly. Definitely be back.

This was a 50th birthday gift from my sisters and what a let down.
Service was very disappointing and staff were rude.
There were only two staff members that were in any way professional
A girl named Rachel and a young fella in the restaurant on Saturday night.

Over all this beautiful hotel is badly managed.
I would not be recommending to friends.

We had our wedding dinner at the Osprey and the staff were absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and the hotel is lovely. Very highly recommended.

I won a competition in the summer for forever young festival and part of the prize was an over night stay in the hotel. It was a wonderful experience. The reception staff (keira) was so nice. Very friendly and helpful she assigned us our room and as we were a little early she made sure our luggage was safely looked after. When we got back from the gig our room was ready for us with our luggage deposited in our room. Our room was fab and the toiletries were beautiful. The next morning we had a great breakfast and the staff there were lovely too. On check out Keira was back again and gave us a very cheery send off. I highly recommend the osprey hotel.

My boyfriend and I were charged €60:00c for two bowls of chips where we were charged as if we got two bowls of soups, which we didn't order? Sandwich were not on the menu?, two plates of sandwiches, one pot of tea, and two deserts. The tills were down and we were over charged. We will not be back which is a pity as I was at a 40th birthday party celebration only a few years ago and didn't experience what happen this evening, Saturday 27th of April 2019.

Fab Hotel my room was fantastic it was a standard but was huge with a fabulous bathroom lovely balcony. Had a nice meal in the restaurant all the staff very friendly will definitely be back.

Had a package deal of some treatments & afternoon tea. The treatments were lovely and therapists were friendly & professional. However the whole experience was let down by the customer service during the afternoon tea. It appeared no one knew how to make a latte as we had to wait 25 minutes for that & it arrived burned and we then had to wait over 40 minutes for our food. With barely a word of apology and offered a free coffee to make up for it we were bitterly disappointed with final portion of the package. The F&B manager on duty did not seem on top of his service or able to manage his team. He missed the point of our complaint which served to frustrate further.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel for a party as our experience was far from positive. We had bar staff who didn’t know what they were doing and security staff who put us all on edge throughout the evening. The function room is upstairs but if you wanted a cocktail and they advertise an extensive cocktail menu, so most of the party guests wanted cocktails, then you had to go down stairs to get one. €10 and up to a half hour waiting later, you could return to the party. My daughter missed her brother cutting his cake while she waited for the downstairs bar staff to make her a cocktail. The bar staff upstairs was the mist incompetent any of us had ever come across. The security staff were rude more than once and the promised service in the bar downstairs after the party ended, never materialized. I did bring these issues to the attention of the Deputy General Manager the next day. He promised to look into it and get back to me. I’m still waiting to hear from him over two weeks later. He did apologize but that was little comfort to my son. If you want a hassle free party with competent bar staff, avoid the Osprey because you are unlikely to get that. Definitely avoid, if it is the same night as a wedding. We felt that we got ignored for most of the evening as the priority was the wedding. We stayed in the hotel and our room was lovely and breakfast was ok. Leisure Centre ok as well though the steam room was out of order.

I recently stayed here for a wedding I was attending, I had high expectations considering the money we had to pay for a one night stay in the hotel but my expectations where sadly not met. The rooms although modern where quite dilapidated in places our bathroom was spacious and included a free standing bath but some tiles on the bathroom floor where cracked and the bottom of our bathroom door was severely water damaged. The other big downside to my stay here was the breakfast the next morning, the quality of the food was lacking and the hot food on offer was mostly cold it had been sitting that long. I was also not impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and breakfast stations, there was food waste everywhere and the staff did not seem to care about or notice this. I will say one thing though and that is the staff where extremely helpful and friendly during my staff and there are good facilities on offer in this hotel for example the spa and swimming pool.

Excellent and accommodating reception staff. Clean, comfortable rooms and a great spa. Buffet breakfast was good but it took a long time to replenish some depleted items.

I had a lovely two night spa break… very relaxing! The rooms were fab. The food in the restaurant was lovely… the reception staff were friendly! The spa looks great after it's renovations very relaxing…!
Only thing negative was. The waiting time to be served a drink/bar food in the bar was very slow even with plenty of staff on!

Me and my mum stayed for a spa night for her birthday every single thing about our stay was amazing. The food was fab. We had an massive room. A beautiful room. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The spa was out off this world. All in all super, would totally recommend it and we will be back!

The new spa is amazing, so fresh and modern. Food in the restaurant was also amazing, the service however was second to none, the manager who was on duty that evening of the 7th of July at around 9pm in the restaurant was beyond amazing at her job, I didn't get her name but I'd say she had some eastern European roots. Great team leaders, and even when I over heard her speak to her staff she talked to them with pure respect which is great to see. Please give her myself and my partners thanks as she gave us a 5 star experience.

Stayed here on Sunday night with my daughter. Had a wonderful time, the rooms are gorgous we where up graded to a suite. I had a lovely head massage and my daughter had a facial. The new spa is amazing so relaxing. The continental breakfast was fantastic with everything you could ask for, the only let down was the cooked breakfast was terrible, the plate was too small with all the food piled on top although it was a Large breakfast it was so dry I couldn't even cut the bacon. My daughter's pancakes where disgusting just like plain omelets (she hates eggs) it was disappointing after such an an amazing stay. Apart from the breakfast I absolutely love this place.

Interesting Hotel. Unusual labyrinth of corridors. Uniquely designed rooms. Spacious, unusual shapes, curved walls, arched ceilings, alcoves, freestanding bath tubs, spa like shower cubicles. Multi-tiered bar/lounge. A unique hotel in a strange location… Would expect it to be in a rural setting or large city but that doesn't take away from the hotel itself. Would recommend it, if it suits your budget.

My family and I celebrated our dads 70th birthday in the Ospery on Easter Sunday a total of 29 people including adults and kids and I cannot thank them enough. From the moment we checked in they couldn't do enough for us the food was beautiful and the service was efficient. The one man band was fantastic and the bar staff seemed to enjoy our own sing song in the bar even though they had worked a long night. The breakfast was also again really lovely and plentiful… the kids loved the pool and my sister enjoyed some fabulous spa treatments … there was nothing more we could have wanted… the manager came back down to us before we checked out to ask again about our stay and thanked us for being a great crowd … we would recommend the Ospery for any occasion thank you again from the Mc Mahon family.

The staff are very nice and nothing seems to be too much trouble. If you are traveling with small kids or just don't like noise I recommend you ask to be given a room at the front of the hotel as the rear backs onto a court yard and smoking area for the function room which can get really noisy if there is a wedding or event on. The rooms are large and all have a shower and stand alone bath. The rooms are also kept very clean. The only gripes I have about this hotel are about food. Last year we stayed here for new year and had the special 7 course taster menu which I thought was a disappointment for the price and for a hotel with such a good name. This year we opted to go for bar food which although it was delicious the portions of some of the dishes were really small. Overall I'd recommend this hotel as the food issues weren't that big a deal.

Wonderful atmosphere, good food and a nice range of dining options. There's a coffee bar with plenty of sweet treats (very fresh pastry) if you fancy something light, as well as a bar and bistro for carvery lunch and dinner, plus the Herald & Devoy restaurant which is bright and airy, suitable for special occasions and serves a fantastic array of well-chosen and well-balanced dishes. The hotel itself has a very striking interior, contemporary and bright, with a sweeping circular design, but also has some classic interior design and mid-century influences. Plenty of parking on-site, including a large underground carpark as well above ground parking. Finally, the staff are friendly, polite and at once professional and informal. Highly recommend.

Amazing, spotless clean, fabulous rooms, lovely friendly staff. I stayed there in November for my birthday and I was really happy that we chose there. Very efficient and really make sure you enjoy your stay. Brilliant breakfast, lots of different foods to choose from. Great residents bar too,

I was treated to a weekend break in the Osprey for my birthday from my partner. I hadn't been there before. It's modern and spotless clean. It's biggest attribute however is the staff. Polite and efficient. I have rarely experienced better staff, attentive and friendly. Security on the premises made it feel very safe. Well done Osprey, we will be back!

My stay here wasn't very enjoyable. We booked into dinner and when we arrived there was only another table in the restaurant dinning and it took us nearly 2.5 hours to have a 3 course meal in an empty restaurant. We were left sitting with dirty plates in front of us longer than acceptable. This wouldn't be much of an issue if the restaurant was busy but it wasn't. Also we asked for details of what's in the desserts and the waitress gave vague details. When the desserts came out there was strawberries on mine (which she never mentioned) when I told her I'm allergic to strawberries can I get another dessert as she never told me there was strawberries in it, she rolled her eyes grabbed the desserts and walked away. I was really unimpressed by this as I used to work in the service industry and her attuide was out of line. The next day we were booked in for spa treatments, we left sitting outside the spa while the staff all eventually showed up, leaving us 15 minutes late for our treatments. The spa treatments in general were very nice but the spa was a little run down. I spoke of these issues on check out and the staff apologized and were nice about it however I wouldn't be tempted to stay here again.

What can I say, just an amazing place. Lovely lovely receptionist, Susan who is just so helpful and courteous. Fabulous rooms and knock out gym/leisure centre. Book in and just sit back and enjoy thoroughly.

My family stayed here and we liked it. Staff were really helpful and friendly towards us. My son wants to come back again for another visit. Drinks and food were quite nice. It's situated in a nice part of town. It's close by to my family in Newbridge. Yes it is pricey for the rooms and bathrooms are amazing and my son daughter and myself shared a very large bedroom, two double beds, but we would still stay here again as we had fun and worth every penny of it.

Attended a Christmas party night here a few weeks back. Disappointing to say the least. The atmosphere was awful. The Christmas decorations consisted of a miserable tree, one either side of the stage one of which had no star on top. One set of lights flickered, the other didn’t and that was all. The function room was absolutely freezing cold and staff are all temps so know nothing about the place. Service was average. Our table
Was wedged in a space it was too big for so other tables couldn’t get in or out of their seats. Absolutely not worth the €55 it cost. It was a €35 night and that’s being generous. No wonder the place is in receivership. Very disappointed, wouldn’t recommend at all.

It's a great hotel if you are coming for a holiday and fun. But as a business hotel it requires some improvement. Room service options are poor and food choices are very limited catering to Irish mainly. I enjoyed the food as well but if you are staying for a month you need variety.

This could have so easily been a five star review but just a few things let it down. They all relate to food and drink. The hotel itself is a reasonably modern design situated on the outskirts of town. Free parking is available including an underground parking area. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was on the second floor. The double bed was really large, it made our Queen size bed at home seems quite small in comparison. Tea/coffee making facilities, a fridge, a safe, hairdryer and an iron were all available. En-suite bathroom was clean and adequately sized. However room was very warm and even the AC seemed to make little difference. Food in the hotel was of a good standard but not cheap. Eating in the bar and the restaurant both required patience as service was slow. They seemed to have enough waiting staff so maybe the hold up was the kitchen. Cocktails were available at the bar with an offer of 2 for €12. Complete waste of time, as from a selection of four cocktails that I made they had the ingredients for none. So easily could have been a much better review.

I have enjoyed lunch here on occasion in the bar. I generally don't like carverys' but the food here is great. The ambiance is relaxing and the staff are warm and welcoming. You also receive a free tea/coffee with your meal.

Room was amazing! Large bed, plenty of open space in the room, all the amenities you could need. The bathroom was extremely beautiful, spacious and warm and exactly the kind of place to pamper yourself. The staff were amazing and couldn't be more helpful. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I had our wedding reception here in August 5th. We had decided to book here when we 1st started looking at places to hold our reception. We were just amazed at how welcome the staff made us feel. Showing us around the bar area, reception room and bedrooms. Always in touch with us up to the wedding day. So the day of the wedding comes along and as soon we arrived we were treated amazing. Michelle and Karen were great. They told us something would be done and it was. If something wasn't right it fixed no questions asked. The two girls really couldn't of done anything else for us. Paulina in the bar was great, so friendly and full of chat. We didn't want to mention names but we just felt these people deserved a special mention. To be fair all the staff in the hotel, cleaners, reception workers, lounge staff, bar workers, janitors, management were all brilliant really couldn't fault them. We would highly recommend this hotel, if its for a wedding or short break this should be a must. Keep up the good work… Keith & Karen.

This place is amazing from start to finish. We booked a pampering package, which included dinner & breakfast. Staff are efficient and very friendly. Rooms are lovely comfortable and extremely spacious. On arrival our robes and slippers were on the bed all ready to head off to the spa treatment, also you have use of the thermal suites. We had fantastic relaxing treatments from spa staff. Food is beyond words hat off to the chef. My advice, well worthed and will return again.

It is hard not to compare the hotel to when it first opened around 10 years ago if memory serves. Back then the rooms were immaculate with fully stocked mini bars and even play stations in each room. When I was last here I could see that the rooms need a little bit of a revamp as the furniture is looking a little worn now. Despite my comments on the room, they were fully functional. Perhaps they are making some improvements as the restaurant was off limits due to building work as well as some work outside the building. The staff are as friendly and welcoming as ever and the Spa and leisure facilities are still fine.

Hotel looks good, but room is like… not so lovely, old and a bit damaged furniture, fridge doesnt work… Anyway, very nice bathroom, good gym and pool, food and surrounding area as well… ;-)

Anything goes in this hotel. Breakfast, Spa. The atmosphere is that of a mall. The prices are not at all in relation to the standing of the places. Yelling, we don't eat right, corridors are dirty and there is waste, the rooms are furnished with damaged furniture.
