Lovely old hotel with an old feel. Decent size of the rooms. I appreciated the bathtub in a large bathroom. Very good breakfasts. Friendly and helpful staff.

Ideally located in Dublin for walking tours.

Very good historic hotel. Excellent friendly service. Rooms are small. Barely enough room to stand in the room. Beds are comfortable and bathroom is reasonable size. Separate hot and cold water at the sink. Great breakfast.

Fantastic location: Practically in the center of the center and with all the comforts.

Very cosy rooms. Noisy city with a lot of traffic on the 4 floor to the rear to yard you could sleep even with the window open. Good beds. Breakfast and staff were great. With Auto hol and bring service perfect.

A quaint, centrally located historic hotel in Dublin. We stayed April 25 for one night. Just off the O'Connell Street (lower) bus/tram stop, and a short walk to all of the major attractions in Dublin (15 minutes walk to Trinity College, 10 minute walk to Temple Bar, 20 minute walk to Dublin Castle, 30 minute walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral). The hotel has spacious and clean rooms and offers a nice Irish breakfast each morning. As other reviews have said there is street noise, but you are in a historic hotel in the center of a major city, nothing to complain about here. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable and eager to help guest. If you are in Dublin, you should stay here.

Do NOT stay here if you want to sleep. I just measured the volume in my room for 1 minute and the average volume was 60 dB with peaks of 68 dB. You can ask for earplugs at the reception but they don’t help since you can feel the intense bass vibrating. I stayed here 3 nights. Two of which was horrible since they have a party area/disco on floor 1 (which is rent out to private parties). I stayed on floor 3 and I cannot imagine what the volume is on floor 2. I asked how long the party would last and they told me until 12:30. Hence, only stay here if you yourself is out drinking late. In addition to the noise, the rooms are very small, the bathroom has separate cold/warm water taps that are far from each other making it impossible to wash your hands in moderate temperature. The breakfast does not open until 07:30 which I personally find too late. Each room has a rather heavy key (much heavier than a phone). I am not coming back.

Good location but used conference room, lots of noise from outside (Luas stop just outside) and inside (drilling), staff nice, food fine, noisy heaters, so either is noisy and warm or cold.

Great location! Great breakfast! Very comfortable! Shower is confusing to use, the closet area is very small and crowded. The kettle and fridge are right underneath so didn't like boiling the kettle with my jacket and clothes right on top of it. Room is very big so should have all that stuff separate to closet. Apart from that it's a lovely place to stay and even just go for food and drinks. Would recommend!

Had lunch in the dining room very nice 3 course menu with a good selection. Food was lovely I had the lamb which was delicious and a yummy creme brulee for dessert. My only complaint was how quickly the courses arrived. Maybe they are used to trying to get people in and out for their 1 hour lunch hour but I felt a bit rushed.

After arriving from Belfast for the Dublin University Film Festival, in which I had been nominated for an award, myself and my girlfriend went to the hotel bar for a quick pint before proceedings started. The sun was shining outside and I had my perscription sunglasses on. The bar person asked me if I had been drinking and then told me I would not be getting served. Incredulous I explained that I had literally just driven from Belfast and checked in to my hotel for this event. Eventually he came to his senses and served us. However it left us with a bad feeling and some embarassment as everyone in the bar area were now looking at us and wondering what all the fuss was about. I was wearing a suit and tie and my girlfriend was also impeccably dressed as one might for a function such as an award ceramony. Patrons beware … if its a sunny day and your weraing perscription sunglasses take them off or you will be refused service at the bar and asked to leave.

Good hotel but queues for breakfast. Would get 5 stars if it wasn't for the crowd of smokers blocking the main entrance in the evening.

Very old fashioned look and feel to it. Like being transported back in time but not in a bad way. The front desk was incredibly nice and a doorman was there to open and close the front door for us at all hours which I thought was a nice touch. I felt famous for four days. They upgraded us for free for tacking on an extra night; Though we were staying there outside of the popular visiting season. Hot breakfast was included as well as continental. Continental options were a little disappointing but no different from other hotels in Europe (maybe a bit better). On the day of departure, they opened the dining room doors an hour early just so we cld have the continental breakfast. Room was beautiful. Large king sized bed, tiled bathroom and our tub had jets! Though much to my spouse's disappointment, we could not both fit in the tub at once. It wld have been like stacking Pringles in a can. Amazing view of central Dublin from our windows. The other room our group had also included a fireplace built into the wall. Very clean hotel room. The only critique I have about our room was that lighting was a little dim but it gave the room a nice ambience. Just open the curtains for more natural light during the day. I would recommend this place to family and friends. And even my coworker with whom I'm feuding with because I am very much looking forward to putting the past behind us even though she knew that wasn't her milk in the fridge. Did you really need 27 tablespoons of milk Susan?

How friendly are the staff? Very friendly to say the least. The receptionist who greeted us was a credit to the hotel. The door man was polite and smiley, the restaurant staff were also helpful and polite. Road noise dies down after 22.00 which was good as we faced the main road. I would definetly recommend the hotel based on 1, Price, 2, Friendliness 3, Cleanness. 4, Location. Will definitely be back.

Ok for a meeting point for those coming off either luas line. Respectable and clean. Reasonablely priced. Staff very polite and helpful.

Lovely rooms which are warm and well kept and a modern bathroom — we even had a whirlpool bath. The breakfast is included and is the best hotel breakfast I have ever had.

Old but clean hotel. Very helpful staff. Breakfast is partly served, partly as a buffet. The bar has everything you need. The central location allows you to explore the city on foot.
Despite the tram just outside the door, the rooms were surprisingly quiet.

Excellent Hotel, friendly, helpful staff, clean and centrally located. Very good breakfast and found staff most accomatating twords needs of young child's. Great customer service we will be back as soon as possible. Great value and reasonably priced.

Its a great hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast first class and the cravery meals are brilliant. We come here alot and every time we have no problems its a brilliant hotel.

Loved this hotel. Excellent location, lovely décor, comfortable rooms. The staff upgraded our room when we told them it was our honeymoon and we'd had a difficult trip up to that point, and that was such a nice gesture for us. Would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel staff has been very nice and helpful. It's is conveniently located in walking distance to pubs and restaurants. This made it tough to fall asleep with the noises of people having a good time into the night and a bagpipe player nearby. The bathroom is very night with a great shower/tub. The bed sheets need to be softer, that are shiff and almost itchy. After the Air BnB we stayed in the previous view nights, it was a delight.

Old historic Dublin hotel Very central. Staff helpful and breakfast very good. Reception small and bit cramped. Nothing to complain about at all hence the 3 stars. I have stayed in better hotels.

It is a very important part in this and role of that of the galaxy people in this their business way of to be ensure they that have everything e up up and up and I'll down in a bit few months ago to and from a the same team as they the way.

Location is convenient to downtown Dublin. But street noise was often unbearable. Had a twin room facing Abby St, window open or shut did not matter when it came to the noise. Staff was pleasant enough. Very uncomfortable sleep.

Great location! Classic, warm and historic hotel with clean, spacious rooms are only outdone by the warm, friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place in the heart of Dublin, small bar on first floor between two ballrooms was rather lacking in some items (bulmers keg was out with two big parties starting on either side) and doesnt accept card.

Very disappointed with the hotel. No hot water in shower Monday morning. Felt very c old after the cold shower. All day Monday I have a very bad cold in my head this evening. Wardrobe door would not close properly. Complained to the lady at the reception on checking out. She just said oh. We are an elderly couple and we have travelled all over Ireland and stayed in several hotels and never has this happened to us before. We may add food dinner was good and we also enjoyed the breakfasts.

I had booked the Wynns for three nights, but plans changed, and I could only stay two nights. Was nervous if they would charge me for the third night, but they did not, and it was no big deal that I cancelled. I really loved this hotel, and they let me check in at 7.30 am, as I had landed at the airport early. I was cold, and tired, and wondering what to do until check in. Roberto from Italy works the front desk, and she was amazing. She remembered my name every time I stepped off the elevator. My room was 405, and it was quiet. Bed was fab, shower was strong, and I couldn't find fault if I tried. Loved the homly feel of the bar, and the breakfast was delish. Had to have kippers, they were perfect. I met lots of people coming in and out of the hotel, who have been staying there for years upon years. I choose the hotel for its rich history, but will definitely stay here again. 22/08/13-Water is contaminated by e-coli parasites and notwithstanding this terrible issue hotel keeps taking new people in. They keep feeding people in hotel's restaurant and not a word about contamination.

Excellent bar eatery and also restaurnat old fashioned irish eatery with a long tradition.

Superb Location and Great Staff.

the Hotel is quite far from the city center, about forty minutes on foot, but the road is simple. Hall and common заллы made very beautiful and rich, but nomerochek a bit worse in the sense furniture, bright and big, but the bathroom was medium sized — gorgeous! Breakfast dense and monotonous, but good quality — I get along without lunch and dinner :) the staff is very age that affects the service for the better. In General 4 stars as promised.
