Room was basic, but clean. On the good side, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location near the city center was good. However, the promised Wi-Fi did not really work, and there was some noise from the pub and street below at night.

Mixed reviews on this hotel. The room was very basic, for the price you pay, which your basicly paying for the location as its right in centre of Dublin. The bed was comfortable and bedding was clean and decent size. Bathroom you could'nt swing a cat, though it was clean and you were provided with clean towels. … Check in staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic, but is full English and €6 suppose you can't moan. Wifi only works in public areas and not in rooms. Location you can't fault, two minutes walk from Temple Bar and public transport links to get you to various tourist attractions.

Good hotel in the center of Dublin, the accomodation is very essential, but it has all you need to stay a few days in town.

I agree with Heather's comments. The location is 1 block from Temple Bar Area, Bus Station and O'Connor street. Our room was basic and clean. The staff was fantastic — the full Irish Breakfast served in restaurant was great and kept us going until supper. We stayed there on 3 different occasions and it was consistent each time.

For the price, it is morealess what you'd expect (though the "Hotel" in the name seems a bit of stretch of the word). Perhaps more problematic is the Wi-Fi connectivity. That said, in its favour, it is very centrally located making it ideal for single night stays.

Excellent location, just around the corner from the Abbey Street Luas stop. My room was poorly ventilated; the window hardly stayed open and there was no air con or fan in the room. It was a very hot day (for Ireland) while I was there so this was disappointing. I was staying on the 3rd floor which had been recently painted, the fumes from the paint were very strong in that corridor (thankfully not getting into the rooms). Wifi connection is worthless if you're staying on the 3rd floor.

The room is small, just above a pub so there is noise and it is poorly insulated. The mattress is spring-loaded it is not very comfortable.

I chose the Clifton Court Hotel because it's in a great location and was very cheap in comparison to anything nearby. I only had one night in Dublin so was not planning to spend much time in my room but be out exploring this great city! Yes it is shabby and dated, my room was very small and basic, but clean, shower was good and bed was beautifully made, clean and comfy. Staff were friendly and as a girl on my own I felt safe there. If you are looking for a hotel 'experience', it definitely wont be for you, but a clean, no frills place to sleep was all I needed and I would happily stay there again!

Too soft bed mattress, showerhead was not great. Breakfast was good and had multiple options. Location was ideal for a city holiday.

Comfy bar on the Quays, I was meeting family but didn't eat as there was nothing for me as a vegan. I think the people I was meeting enjoyed their carnist food, it was large portions anyway. Barmen were friendly and toilets were clean.

Place to just sleep, the bathroom is a loculo. Stairs… Stairs… Stairs. The only point in favor is the location. Smiling Staff.

Enterance is a bit easy to miss and reception is upstairs. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Room had everything I needed. I had a great time.

It wasn't a fancy hotel by any means, uncomfortable bed and a little dingy but the people working there were nice and we had no troubles. The price and location were excellent. We spent all day out of our room anyway so it was nice as a place to sleep and store our stuff.

The people were awesome, and the bar/restaurant was great. The room, however, was mediocre at best. The mattress was horrible, I'd actually prefer to use a hostel mattress. I didn't use the sheets, cause that extra padding was needed so I didn't feel the springs. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best. The shower had mold in it. You can see shoddy patchwork on the walls, and the walls are super thin. Constantly hear people around you. Looks like they are biding their time to gut the place and remodel… Lets hope that's soon.

Central location but very dirty and hot really hot around 40c with open window. I was on third floor which really is the fifth floor and there was no sound insulation so prepare for very noisy day and night. But the location is the only good thing probably the best for this price range. Please don’t pay more than 50€ per room per night just no worth more money. No lift working no good for disabled people or families with baby. Staff don’t speak good English. No Wi-Fi in the rooms.

The quality of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired but the location is brilliant. You can walk up the stairs from the pub when you’ve finished for the night, and then walk down again in the morning for an Irish breakfast.

Hotel in a very central and strategic location. Very nice Staff and very good breakfast. It's a little bit outdated but the centrality cancels all the negative things.

Cheap and cheerful. It's 2 star so don't expect too much but it's clean and does the job. Couldn't be more central. Bring ear plugs because it's on a noisy street and the walls aren't too thick! Cold tap didn't work in my room but they were happy to fix it or move me. That's the lost star!

The Hotel Staff where fine, but the actual Room was awful. There where frayed wires coming out of a plug, there were cigarette butts outside the window, the Bathroom was tiny and you could barely lock it, it couldn't be closed without locking otherwise it would just open (see picture). There was blood on the duvet which wasn't cleaned during the stay, and there was a dirty sock in the room the entire time. It was also not quiet, we where in the room across from the cleaners closet and could hear everything for hours in the morning. Its also above a bar so there was singing going on until about 1 in the morning every night. The mattress was really uncomfortable so I could barely sleep. Overall a terrible experience. You are definitely only paying for the location.

Cheap and very central. Staff were excellent and helpful, pub downstairs does good food and a relaxing atmosphere. We were given a room at the top of the building so it quite a climb for anyone with a disability. Quite a bit of mould and condesation from the bathroom and old old windows.

The ugly: — Nothing really All in all a very pleasant and relatively cheap experience!

We had a wonderful full irish breakfast for 7 euros incl tea/coffee it was delicious! My boyfriend kept ravibg about the bacon! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere! We will be back!

Need a lot of comfort improvement. The room was horribly hot and there was no way you could cool it. The rooms are very noisey.

Ideal location. Right beside the luas and all shops! Hotel staff wer friendly. Room was nice, (our window couldn't stay open that's the only complaint — room 402) gorgeous bar adjoining. Lanigans. Def check it out. Organised chaos, lovely staff amazing little pub. Food was to die for too! Hotel bar had live music. Plus late opening (bar til 2) ideal location. Will Def be staying here again! No lift. Don't know if I dreamed that someone said there was a lift. That's probably on me. But some of us aren't 19 and backpacking thru Europe anymore. This becomes an issue when you are lugging 20 kilo suitcases up two flights of stairs. The friendly staff helped, thank you. But the hostal in Avila, Spain only charged €30, not €130. No complimentary breakfast. Don't think I imagined that. Miniscule room and bath. Preparation for the Cattle Class plane flight home. Room just out of Wi-Fi range. I've stayed in some holes, but this could top them. Taxi placement very convenient.

What a gauge. Spent a little over $230 (195 euro) for St. Pats. The location is great, but a mark up of over 100 sterling? no. Extremely springy mattresses, TINY washroom, narrow corridors. The windows in our room didn't open and the place had central heating, so the front desk would turn it on or off by guest request and if it was too hot for us we couldn't even open the window. Very stuffy and noisy. LOTS of things in the room required repair. I understand marking up the price for Holidays, but THAT much for what your getting is disgusting.

Very nice hotel, if you don't care to much about where you need to sleep. Here and there something is broken, but for the price this is really worth it! Perfect for students who are looking for an inexpensive place to stay.

(Often) cheap Hotel, very close to the city centre. Reception is on the first floor. From the 2. Floor of the room. There Is No Elevator. Narrow stairs to the room. Narrow bathroom with shower gel and soap. Old, but adequate mattress. Carpet Flooring: That's Why Slippers. Is not sufficiently clean, even under the mattress. Daily "House keeping". Free Wifi in the Breakfast room. Very friendly staff. Only a few rooms with views of the river Liffey. Nice Pub on the ground floor.

A very simple but clean Hotel with very nice staff and good Breakfast (costs extra). The equipment of the rooms is probably mostly from the 80/90s, and the rooms are very small. I would spend a vacation… But who knows the prices in Dublin, and a convenient accommodation right on the Liffey and Temple Bar, is right here.

Great place, easy for getting into town!

There was mixed reviews on trip advisor but to be honest nothing could prepare us for what was in store when we walked into the room we where greeted by a double and a single bed. When I went to look at the bed I noticed holes in the duvet! The television was like something from the early days of tv. The room was so small we had to turn side ways to get around the room. Then the main light didn't work so we had one light to do the whole room. The toilet was an absolute disgrace to say the least! The shower was the smallest hole you could find I am a petite girl and I had a struggle to have a shower. The curtain was pulled down but when we pulled it up to see why we couldn't open it we where greeted with dirty underwear on the window!
The room was so dates and old it was horrid it really needed a lick of paint. There is NO LIFT and there are so many flights of stairs it's horrendous! The breakfast was absolutely lovely and it was all cooked fresh! The bar downstairs was like you where in a totally different hotel it was amazing there was a great buzz and atmosphere it was so lovely. Over all we are not happy with our stay and would not recommend that people stay here.

The room was basic, however it was clean and the location was great. The room I was in was situated in right off the main stairwell (rather than behind an additional dir line the other rooms) which meant that you had quite a bit of noise travelling through. Overall good value for money.

Never stayed in the hotel just in the attached bar Lanigans, it's an alright place, small and usually busy, never checked out the lounge which seems to have a fondness for live country music.

Was in there bar on Monday and they very kindly charged a ipad for me when I got home to cork I found out they gave me wrong charger back got on to them and told them I needed it as it was for my son who has Autism Want to thank them for the prompt posting off it back to us love there bar and will visit again.

Everything clean. Nice staff. But what they can't change is Standart. Cold at night. Dors have holes. Just old. But close to spire.

My first time visit in this hotel after relocating, friendly staff, central located to all amenities, in the heart of the city centre.

The best thing was a staff member callled michelle. She was so helpfull &frendly. Super hot too ;-).
