Just back from a wonderful break at Breaffy House Hotel. It was so relaxing and our two kids had a ball. It is a fantastic set up for kids, astro pitch, crazy golf, leisure centre, kids disco and a free kids club. We had thought they would love some day trips but were happy to hang out at the hotel. Feels like we all had a fantastic rest. Big shout out to Mairead who seemed to be everywhere in Healy Macs bar and in the restaurant… she couldn't do enough for us and noticed how she wad amazing with other families whp had young kids. Nothing was too big an ask for her and she made an amazing cappuchino too! We also had a gorgeous waitress on our first night called Jasmine who encouraged our little artist. She was made up when her butterfly picture was hung up! Thanks, we will be back 100%

Highly recommend Breaffy House for everything. We had our wedding here in April and everyone we had contact with went above and beyond to help us. We had food in Healy Macs bar and the Mulberry restaurant which were both incredible as was all the food served the day of our wedding. They really made it the most special day for us. Everything is made extra special by the fact the grounds are absolutely stunning.

I have to thank breaffy house hotel staff. We had our reunion there on a very busy weekend. The staff were amazing so courteous and willing to go above and beyond for me. It was difficult managing people that I had not seen and they were patient with me in every step of the way in planning the event. On the night the staff were very obviously busy and a lovely waitress came introduced herself to the group and was so helpful. I stayed over that night even though I only live down the road, reason I stayed is because the BnB rate was so competitive that I couldn't resist. Glad I stayed now as the breakfast was amazing and the same wait staff were there and were calling us by our first name. The breakfast chef was really accommodating cooking to order that was not on the menu. Well done Breaffy proud to know your just a stones throw away and I'd confidentially reccomend this hotel to anyone… thanks so much.

Had a good time friendly staff had a meal with friend we planning to there on a night week day my favourite spot in castlebar I had nice drinks love the fire such nice hotel.

Beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Bar has a great menu. Well worth a visit to the Spa and pool.

Rude staff or at least bar staff. Went to the bar to see the menu and was more or less shouted at to move to the side as was in the way. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to leave. Absolutely shocking way to talk to people.

Overall lovely experience. Would recommend and hopefully return some day.

Head a great experience in the Spa Resort. I had a lovely back, neck, shoulder massage and facial with therapist Shannon. Got great advice about my face problems and great products. Felt very welcomed 😃😍

Lovely hotel and grounds, kids had a wonderful time exploring. Our room in breaffy woods for the 5 of us was really spacious. Food was nice. Breakfast in legends bar was really tasty. Swimming pool was lovely and well organised with time slots due to covid. We had a very nice time.

Excellent hotel, exceptional staff where nothing is too much trouble and beautiful surroundings and building. Great for children and adults to relax. Thanks again, Breaffy for a lovely 3 nights.

We celebrated our wedding in Breaffy House Hotel on 01.01.2021. Despite the pandemic and having to bring our date forward due to the new government restrictions, these guys made it happen! Katie (Wedding Coordinator) throughout our planning process was amazing — so down to earth and approachable, made things easy through her knowledge, experience and fantastic personality. Everything was done with a hundred and ten per cent effort, the staff couldn't do enough for us or our guests. The meal was flawless, piping hot, delicious and abundant including dinner the evening before, arrival food, evening food and breakfast. We know everyone will recommend the venue where they got married, that's fair enough… but we think we picked a winner and would honestly say that Breaffy House Hotel & Spa Resort was the perfect wedding venue for us.

Had a lovely stay this weekend. Everything was perfect from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The room we had (bridal suite) was amazing with beautiful views out over the courtyard and woods. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very safe as in regards to Covid-19. We had dinner in the bar Friday night and I'd highly recommend the burger. Dinner in the restaurant on Saturday was amazing. The food was top class. If Yr looking for a lovely peaceful weekend in a beautiful place then u won't go wrong at breaffy house hotel. We will be back soon.

Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. Very relaxing & all meals were delicious. Staff were friendly & helpful & I will be coming back soon because this hotel is so close to all beaches & Westport ~ Newport & Mulranny.

Beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly and great with children. The kids club is brilliant fir the children. Different entertainment on way h night for them too, from discos, to movies, hypnotists to magicians, wrestling events etc. The rooms are lovely and the food is amazing. Keep up the great work. Hope to come back soon.

A brilliant place to stay. The kids club is excellent and the grounds are beautiful. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Sean the barman was so friendly and gave great advice on things to do around mayo. We will definitely be back.

Breaffy woods hotel is a really good place the restaurant is amazing the food is really good and the staff are very friendly but am giving the hotel a 4 stars because of the rooms.

This hotel is in Breaffy village not McHale Rd. Is adjoining Breaffy House Hotel with access to Leisure centre and children's playground. Large arena suitable for sporting events and concerts. Accommodation includes family suites at reasonable rates. Set in beautiful grounds with trails through the woods and astronomy turf pitch.

Definitely the place for small children, they are very good with them. The rooms are comfortable … The food selection could and quality could be a little better.

This place has the finest swimming pool I've ever had the pleasure to be in. You can get great deals via Today fm breaks or Lidl breaks. Food's nice. If you go during busy periods, definitely book your table in the restaurant if you plan on having dinner there, as it gets very busy and you end up waiting an hr for a table. The grounds are lovely.

I remember being in Ireland when this place opened and the excitement it generated, that the big old country house was opened as grand hotel. Well after all this time the seed has fallen far of the tree. In a nutshell it has no character, no charm and no skill. All the original features have been ripped out and it suffers from poor design. Once we’d got through a particularly unwelcoming and unhelpful set of entrance doors we were greeted by a view of new wood, or varying types and shades, from the floor to the reception desk that all said “conference venue”, to the left was a particularly unlovely set of white painted metal shutters covering who knows what. To the right was the reception desk and further right was a long, wide empty corridor that led off to some of the hotel rooms and the Mulberry Restaurant. At check in the receptionist wouldn’t/couldn’t answer questions but would instead repeat her script again, at machine gun pace. We decided to unpack then go for a swim at the Breaffy hotel pool. Like others have posted getting to our room was not straightforward. We were advised to take the lift up one floor, follow the corridor to the end, get another lift down and then follow the next corridor to our room.
