The Ardilaun Hotel went above and beyond for BPW’s Summer Lunch which catered for more than 150 people. The lunch was exceptional and the finger food later in the evening was absolutely delicious! 👏👏👏

We stayed here Friday night for my Fiancé’s birthday and it was amazing from start to finish the staff could not of been more attentive and lovely. We had had dinner in the Camilaun restaurant and it was stunning. We felt like vips and are so excited for our wedding here New Year’s Eve
The room was amazing and great pool and jacuzzi.
We had afternoon tea which was also gorgeous.

We had my parents 55th wedding anniversary here last night. The manager Ian did an absolutely fantastic job from the prosecco reception in the lounge to the beautiful meal in the restaurant. Throughout the organising he was so helpful & accommodating. I had my sons communion here last year too and I just cannot recommend it highly enough. A wonderful venue for any occasion. Thanks again Ian!

Great covid19 friendly breakfasts; lots of lounge spaces for peace and quiet; great service from all staff and only 5 minutes from a main bus into Galway city centre! lovely faery garden to keep the little people happy too! and a v nice swimming pool!

Absolutely recommend, just had our wedding there and it was perfect.

Had a lovely couple of days here recently, even with COVID restrictions every thing was very relaxed, no pressure and very well organized. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very friendly even when under pressure. Rooms were spacious and had all equipment, HD, Kettle, iron etc… Easy access to Galway city and 5mins to salthill prom. Will defo return!

We have been coming to this hotel since 2013 but this was our first summer visit! The staff were very attentive! We had 4 children and 5 adults in our group and all staff went above and beyond! Ian & his team in the restaurant ensured our breakfast & dinner experience was 110% every day & the two gentlemen in the leisure centre were equally excellent at their job, again very attentive to the children! We were originally concerned about going to a hotel with the current Covid situation but this hotel was A++++

I recently had my sons christening lunch there and I cannot recommend the place enough. The food was gorgeous and the staff were so accommodating.

I stayed here for the first time this December, lovely staff, great food fabulous hotel. I'm heading back to the hotel for a break in January 2020 can't wait one of my all time favourite places to stay.

I would highly recommend the hotel for a wedding the staff were so nice they couldnt do enough for us they hotel was stunning and Maureen Walsh was amazing such a lovely woman.

Was here today as part of a christening party. Such a lovely, homely, relaxing hotel. Beautiful food and great service. Have to say the two waitresses at our table, Aniko and didn’t get the second girl’s name, were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do more whiles we were there. Would definitely highly recommend.

I brought my dog there for 2 nights a few years ago and must say I was so impressed, I was expecting the room to smell of dogs and hair everywhere, it was immaculate, you would never think there was any four legged friend there at all, not a hair in sight, feeding bowls and bed provided, French doors open to a lovely sitting area and a lovely little wooded area to bring them for a walk, when we went for breakfast we had our own dining area which was lovely with a big fire on. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and I will certainly return here ❤❤

The Ardilaun Hotel is beautiful. The landscape is stunning, the rooms are well appointed and beds are like sleeping on a cloud! The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly!

Just back after spending two nights in the wonderful Ardulain Hotel, To the most helpful and kind reception staff, Bernie and Melissa, who welcomed my husband and I and the welcome, they gave our Bichon was honestly out of this world, if you're looking for a dog friendly hotel, this is definitely it. Eve our Bichon was treated so well. To Grace and the Chef in the bistro thank you for such efficient service and delicious food. We will definitely be back. Best of luck and see you all soon.

Lovely hotel, a bit dated but this added to its charm. Room was lovely, bright and extremely clean and just 15 minute walk from the beach. Highly recommend it.

Excellent hotel with fantastic staff who went above and beyond to help us out. The grounds are very nice and give the feel of being in a secluded location when you're actually only minutes from city centre. The rooms are well maintained and while the furnishings may be a bit dated, it all felt very welcoming as if I was staying at my grandmother's house. I mean that in the best way possible and would stay there again without a qualm.

Beautiful location. Big room. Staff are very nice. Not far from town. Good time in the bar! Dinner was very good; but the breakfast buffet was not as good as we had in Glasgow.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely friendly staff who make their guests feel very welcome. I would highly recommend it to familys, business people or other. It will not disappoint with it's high standards.

Stayed in one of their family rooms Sunday night as a very small holiday for my son and I must say it was so nice. I have to praise the hotel staff for going above and beyond to make not only my partner and myself comfy, but also my son. Once we explained to the hotel staff that he's autistic and it was his first time staying at a hotel they made sure we could eat our meals in a place that was quite for him to be able to sit with us. For breakfast we wrote on the card we put outside our door the night before that he loves peanut butter and toast and sure enough when the trays come up it was there. I know a lot of places wouldn't have that because of food allergy reasons but I can't help but thank them even for that. He loved his stay so much that when it was time to leave he balled his eyes out because he didnt wanna leave lol… I highly recommend this hotel and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

Had an amazing 3 days at this hotel. It’s a standing joke that our room is always the furthest away. We were allocated room 232 and of course it was quite a walk but when we opened the door it was WOW… we had been given a suite, it just made our break away fantastic. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly nothing was any bother to them. It definitely was “home from home “ as stated in the reception area. Would recommend to anyone.

Picturesque, though dated hotel, a bit too far from city center. Service was adequate. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but could use refurbishing. Our bathroom door took some extra work to close properly. Vending machines are ancient, no card option. Breakfast was good, not great. All in all a passable hotel with old world charm.

Lovely hotel, I only spent about an hour there as I went to the gym and ran. It was exquisitely decorated with many different lavish sections. Very appealing to most sophisticated couples and familys to get away to. Sadly couldn't review the food here but the smells from the dining room that I smelt were incredible as I was passing by.

Held a christening here recently. It's was a great experience and the staff and food were really good. We had our own room which made it really nice.

Great place for a family event. The weather was good so the kids got to play out in the Garden. The hotel was perfectly clean with nice decor. The staff were great, especially with our kids. Our food was lovely.

Amazing place, even though it has a very central location (close to both Eyre Square and Salthill) as soon as you arrive here you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind. The grounds of the Ardilaun are beautiful. There's a lovely patio area out the back to sit in and enjoy the surroundings. The staff here were very helpful and the food and drink was great. The rooms have a more old fashioned feel to them. But they are cosy and fully wheelchair accessible (including shower). I will definitely be back here again.

Nice hotel on the edge of town, but not near shops and restaurants. They have a pool, sauna and spa. There are steps and twisty halways which would be difficult for handicapped people. The bar food was very good and the breakfast buffet was good as well. There is radiator heat in the rooms which we found hard to adjust the room temperature. The room decor was dated. Good hotel for the price and location.

Had the shepherds pie, was delicious. Especially loved the minted pees. Great staff all round.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, except the bed. The bed was hard and lumpy. The hotel was beautiful the garden peaceful and the food good.

Did not like this hotel. Old… bad needs update. Steak tough onion rings soggy long queue for breakfast… dust on door saddles not a place I would ever stay again.

Great hotel. Nice big rooms. Good gym and pool. There's a lot of weddings on here so if you want a quiet evening it may not be for you.

I was there for one night only. Bedroom was nice and warm. I had a lovely evening in the bar. The staff are very friendly and efficient.

I stayed in Dec 2017. I was very disappointed with the room. It was a superior room. It was very cold. Even do there was a heat control switch on the wall the heat seemed to be turned on at set times. Therefore it was very cold at night. The lamp beside the bed did not work. The blue bed cover was dirty. This is not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. I got a frosty response at reception when I mentioned it when we were checking out. The two nights b&b cost €284 euros for 2 people. Not worth the money.

I stayed at The Ardilaun Hotel on a business trip last night in Room 302. Even though the Hotel has been around a while the room was clearly refurbished to high standards. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and modern. It certainly deserves the 4 star rating. All the staff from reception to bar staff and management were professional with a warm, personal touch. The food in the bar was really nice and the service attentive. I will stay here again when in Galway and recommend it for Business and personal travel. Special mention to Aniko and Sylvia in the Bar/Bistro and Maria of the Management staff.

Lovely historic location for any kind of reception, large or small. I have been here for a number of weddings in the large reception room. The Garden Room is a great venue for smaller receptions. The food and service was always very good too.

Absolutely terrible. We arrived at 2:10 for 2:30 check in and were promptly yelled at that the (apparently only) girl who does check in was on break and we needed to wait in the lobby for the next 20 minutes. The lobby was full of screaming children, a group of whom found delight in kicking the back of the chair I was in. Check in girl came back and we were told our room wasn't ready yet, but it absolutely would be within 10 minutes and she would come over and tell us. 30 minutes later we went back to the desk and apparently our room was indeed ready she just hadn't let us know. Finally get to the room and it is garbage. There are cracks in the walls and the bed feels like lying in cardboard. Absolutely would not recommend this to anyone unless I hated them and wanted to ruin their vacation.

Very big city hotel with four stars. However, impersonal and (on our visit) full. More of a mass clearance.

Standard hotel in Galway — everything okay.

Had a very enjoyable Autumn break, everything was perfect. Food was excellent & staff were so friendly & helpful. Was there when Ophelia struck & could'nt have been in a better place. Many thanks to all.

We had a great stay in the Ardilaun. We were warmly welcomed by reception staff. Our room was in immaculate condition. The staff in the bar were friendly and efficient. Service was excellent. The breakfast was first class very fresh and plenty of choice. We couldn't recommend the Ardilaun highly enough. We would highly recommend the Ardilaun.

We stayed in the Ardilaun 8th of October 17. We really enjoyed our stay. We were greated by a lovely lady in reception. Our room was in immaculate condition, the bar staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was first class very fresh and plenty of choice. We couldn't recommend the Ardilaun highly enough.

We had a delicious lunch, portions were bigger than expected, But really tasty! We had The avocado & crab salad along with the calamari and a couple of yummy desserts. All were well presented and great value. Staff were ran off their feet with the annual holistic fair but this did not deter The service. I'll be back! :-)

Have attended a number of functions throughout the years here. Was particularly impressed with a wedding I attended yesterday. They were constantly coming with food. Bar was standard priced. The meal was fantastic and the staff put in great effort and second helpings were offered, the vegans at our table were catered for with no fuss. The room set up was really nice also.

Had mold in the bathrooms. Moved to another room that had less mold. Had to have a spider removed from the room and on the day of checkout had a snail moving across the wall in the room. The personal were very helpful and friendly. I don't recommend this place.

Nice hotel but its definitely for an older crowd, a little golf resort-like.

Great hotel if you're looking for pet friendly accommodation. The room we were given was very spacious, had direct access to the garden where Dex could walk in peace and very close to the underground parking lot (very recommended to park there), the latter being of much help since we arrived very late and full of mud after visiting Cliffs of Moher (just after a rainy day) at almost 11pm. The next day we went early-ish (10am) towards Connemara Park for some hiking, very convenient to be so close to the car park and also to the garden. Totally enjoyed it! P. S. They also have vegan dishes that are quite tasty. The chef can most surely make up something on demand.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC HOTEL! Oisin and Ewa on the front desk looked after my check in and I instantly felt welcome to this beautiful family owned hotel. Aniko in the bar was fantastic, best service I've had in Ireland. Also worth a mention is the whole team downstairs at the leisure club, very professional and helpful.

It is tucked away and peaceful in the middle of a busy city. The staff is VERY helpful with all your questions.

I have just had a weekend in the Ardilaun Hotel and all I can say it was lovely I could not have been in a better place with the beatifull weather. Staff so friendly and helpfull. For me it was tonic.

Charming and comfortable hotel with the only downside for me being the thin walls. Could literally hear everything in the room next door. Reception staff were lovely and welcoming. The west really is the best!

Very nice hotel. Has good features (free Wi-Fi, multiple bars/restaurants, pool, spa, sauna), and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the rooms seem to have pretty thin walls, we could hear a lot from other rooms and the hall, which for a hotel that has a lot of weddings can be loud.

There was a large group of both squash players and family stayed in this hotel on 19/3/16 and all of our group had a fantastic experience there. From the moment we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and efficient down to the bar, leisure, and the restaurant staff could not do enough for us all. We will return there again in the near future and would highly encourage anyone thinking of going to Galway to stay in The Ardilaun Hotel.

Like a hidden treasure!. This hotel is quite secluded considering how beautiful and well managed it is. The service and food was excellent. The waiters in the restaurant were very efficient and dedicated to their food standards. We were asked if everything was ok and we didn't feel rushed or hassled at all. Although the hotel was reasonably busy, every member of staff had time for us and didn't seem stressed at all. Well done Ardilaun Hotel you certainly lead a great example of how run a Hotel and take care of your customers.

Stayed here for 2 nights valentines weekend first night we arrived we put in room 214 there was no heat and no hot water complained and was moved to suite 332 plenty of space but still v cold heating on timer so got v cold when its off it was minus 2 outside so should have been on constant. Also buffet breakfast was cold no microwave to even heat it so dont think I be back threre anytime so def should not be classed as 4 star hotel.

It's old but not in the good classic way. It seriously needs an overhaul. The Ballroom needs redesigned. It doesn't match the hotel decor. The sound is terrible for weddings.

I am staying here at the moment and the noise from the kitchen is ridiculous staff having a chat. Banging pots knifes forks emptying bins at 1100 at night. Never again will I stay here.

I had an enjoyable short stay in Galway at the Ardilaun. The hotel was really comfortable with a nice atmosphere. The French doors leading on to the garden was ideal for my dog. Unfortunetly I was not well during the night but hopefully on my next visit I`ll stay longer. A good visit.

I can't say enough about this hotel, myself and other had a really good time here. I needed to borrow a kitchen utensil to carve a pumpkin over the Halloween weekend — no problem. The gym was really good, treadmills, bikes, Smith machine, barbells, leg-press machines and a bunch of other machines of which you can be sure to get your money's worth! The bar was a typical bar, what you'd expect price-wise. It was the overall speed at which the hotel ensured I was seen to that impressed me; there was no waiting around. The dining area was quite exquisite, though I can only go off what I saw of it; my palate had ventured off into town for a more familiar menu. Staff are very polite, I felt quite comfortable. Certainly somewhere I'll keep in mind if I ever return to contae na Gaillimhe.

The is a great Hotel for a long weekend. They have a special offe on their website, which includes dinner for 2 twice during your stay. The rooms are spacious and really comfortable. The pool area feels a little old, but is very nice to relax. The staff was very nice and very helpful, always there to help. IT might be more of a family hotel more than a romantic one.

The pool was fun and airy. I know the people who own it and have found them extrememly and utterly stunninggly nice! Theyre like regular joes.
